I was intrigued by this IEM based on your review so I bought The Libra X. All I can say is this - this is, by a long shot, the best sub-$20 IEM I’ve ever heard. As stated, this is very clear and detailed and quite balanced. The vocals here are better than the vocals on my Thieaudio Hype 4 and all the frequencies are well-balanced. I can’t believe all this from a $12 IEM, which is how much I paid through Ali Express. I’m shocked! Twelve dollars!! If I listened to them without knowing the manufacturer, I would easily think these were well over $100. Seriously, I’m just amazed. These are not for bassheads or for those that like thick mid-bass/lower midrange. If you like DCR (detail, clarity, resolution) these are magnificent! As a side note, I use the Kinera Ace 2.0 cable and the Spinfit CP-100 tips.
Yeah, Libra X kinda went under the radar, but it is shocking. As you said, the tuning might not work for everyone, but in this clean style, it is all you need. You can certainly spend more and get lovely shells and cables, but Libra X will always be a better value for people who just care about sound
@@mayonotes9849 people in my countries who heard them said that they keep the bass og the OG while having the mid and treble refined a bit more. I'm waiting for the review too
I have the Balanced version and is a beast of iem. Yesterday the Saga Harman arrived at night, but castor pro both versions are in another lvl, as and sli of Saga drivers lol
Paul can you do a recommendations video for 11.11? Top picks under 50 & 100 etc. And maybe state once for all whether its prx or hydra that is the top KZ?
Great review, thank you. I'm actually torn between this and EDC Pro. Given that they have different signature sound, which one would you suggest generally speaking? Currently I have 7z Zero and KZ ZSTX, of which I like the former better. Thank you.
how was it compare to eda balanced? I own cra(update version i guess cuz the bass is not as strong as i thought) and they sound kinda balanced like my moondrop lan, but i cant pinpoint the direction of instrument unlike lan,so how does this compared?
Great review, I have bought this libra x through your recommendation and am very satisfied with its sound. I am also very interested in the new products Castorpro and ZVXpro released by KZ in recent days, but I have not seen any reliable reviews. Do you have any review plans for these two new products? I am very much looking forward to your new reviews, thank you.
Later. I asked and those models (not sure if all) are exclusive to a distributor for now. When they appear on kztws.com, the exclusive period will have ended.
@@PaulWasabiikz zsx not only for bass its full flavour for music highly sensitive in mobile just plug in very low volume produce quality sound no shouty play any song its bass vocal trible ececellent but sound seperation is not excellent still i need copy of kz zsx so i wait for zsxpro thanks bro
Hello friend, how does this Libra X compare to the Titan S? Could you help me? I bought one after your review, I felt it would be great for playing online games. Thanks for the review and I'm your fan, take care
How does the Libra X compare to Castor Enhanced Bass? I have the Castor Enhanced Bass and later the EDC Pro. I like the Castor more with the bass not bleeding into the mids and lower mids. The bass and lower bass is present when needed and not boomy. The EDC Pro, meanwhile, is has bass, a more forward mids, and ok treble. Some bass melds into the lower mids. An overall "fun" set. I find the Castors more detailed, more open, a more versatile set for music, movies (bass), and podcasts. Hoping for your insights.👍😃
Libra X is significantly less bass so you will get the same effect, but less of it when needed. Really a focus on providing some bass, but cleaner vocals is the goal.
Hi Paul i like my kz edc pro alot, and I’m thinking about upgrading to a more expensive with better build quality but still had the same sound signature like the edc pro . Which one you think is good for under 100$ .
Or the Castor Enhanced Bass. No bass bleed into the lower mids. Bass when and where needed. I also recently bought the EDC Pro, it's fun overall, but like the Castor Enhanced Bass more. Though, the Libra X, when available, will be in my cart due to Paul's review regarding the mids.🤩👍

Hay, so I am looking to buy IEMs for competitive gaming. I am looking at, KZ ZSN pro 2, ZSN pro, KZ ZVX, KZ Castor, TANGZU Wan'er, CCA CRA+, CRA, KZ DQS, KZ ZSTx, KZ KRILA, CVJ Konoka 3, KZ X Angelears Libra, CCA CXS, CVJ TXS. KZ EDXs, EDX pro, CVJ KE-S, CCA CSN. It would be my first IEM, and it would need to be comfortable for longer sessions and have very clear audio q with good spaceing and easy to pin point where sound is comeing from(i guess this is the most important part). I am asking you because i am looking all around internet to see whats best for competitive gameing but no one is talking about it most of people talk about listening to music. I see everyone hateing on KZ but this is kinda only options I got.
They're all hating because KZ was really low end before. But since 1 year they're really good. I own many IEMs and can assure you a lot of KZs are very well done.
Most popular IEMs for gaming, Zero and Chu because they are cheap and clear sound. Basically exactly what I said about Libra X. Pick the cheaper of the 3.
how was it compare to eda balanced? I own cra(update version i guess cuz the bass is not as strong as i thought) and they sound kinda balanced like my moondrop lan, but i cant pinpoint the direction of instrument unlike lan,so how does this compared?
EDA Balanced is closer to EDC Pro. Libra X is almost more sterile compared to those and better imaging. The tuning isn't far from LAN or Chu. Almost closer to Moondrop than KZ.

do you own the tropowin zonie cable as well? if yes, is the chin slider on the kinera also that heavy?
Thanks Paul. Definitely in my shortlist now
The response curve looks very very very good.
The curve is similar to a few very good sets as that tuning works well on nicer drivers.
@@PaulWasabii As you well know, the target curve is modeled after a high-quality dynamic speaker and is used as a standard during recording.
I'm looking forward to your Castor Pro review soon, that one seems pretty interesting.
Hopefully as I am interested in it as well
@PaulWasabii I'll probably buy one after watching your review, I have the OG and if the Pro is a solid upgrade then it'll be awesome.

Generally EDC Pro is a fuller sounding set so if you want something different than Zero, that is EDC Pro. If you want one like Zero, that is Libra X.

should get this for 8$ or just get the zero 2? kz might have change the driver on this set by now idk
Zero 2 is the less clean one. Libra X is closer to Zero and I'd actually go with Libra X. Zero is a super solid set though.
