To be honest, I miss the tone and hud of tekken 4. Probably nostalgia, but the music felt eerie at times I like how the stages were everyday places and not entirely flat.
Honestly, Tekken 4 was the only installation of this franchise that actually lived up to the whole "King of the Iron Fist tournament" angle. The stories felt cinematic yet real at the same time. Tekken 4 was a really great continuation of the Tekken Saga but I also like to look at it as a great stand alone game.
I also miss the days when all Tekken characters (besides maybe Panda or Kuma) had a more serious in tone, almost somewhat tangible or realistic backstory or personality, instead of "anyone not directly invovled with the Mishimas is basically a stupid idiot clumsy goofball". Paul's backstory was great, for example. How he won the tournament, binged for a while on the wealth, then decided, "Nah, that ain't me." and rode off on his motorcycle. Bad ass biker guy. Now all we get is a pseudo-roided out nutjob tinfoil-hatting and only ever wants to prove how he's the strongest man on the planet. Tekken 4 was my favorite entry into the Tekken franchise, even if it was somewhat imbalanced or broken. It was still a great game with an engaging story and amazing music.

Overall Jin Kazama's ver of TAS is better, he is overpowered when he came out on T4 after all. +PARRY of Jin is practical, unlike Heihachi's, he takes damage whilst doing so. Kazuya has 0 parry abilities besides the universal low parry which everyone can already do.

I agree with you. Especially due to the fact that the Tekken Series adds more dynamic gameplay because you can move around & sidestep in a 3D arena, and not just stay on a boring ass 2D plane jumping all over the place like the Street Fighter Series. Despite that, I still like the Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros., & Mortal Kombat fighting game series (ESPECIALLY Smash Bros.,) but The Tekken Series will always remain as my most favorite fighting game series to play. Ya its just heihachi's b1+3 / b 2+4. Its a gimmick mostly because it deals like 3x more damage to urself than the enemy.
