The guy behind the Scottish couple owns El Elefante bar and is a gem of a person, made our trip there last year even more special. Great bar and La Carihuela is an amazing place sandwiched between Torremolinos and Benalmadena… the best out of the three places IMO.
Loved this video walking along the back street, have always walked it in daytime, you have shown it in another light and got me looking at holidays again 😀
I stayed many years ago at the Don Pablo hotel on the other side of Torremolinos ( Bajondillo beach) but I preferred La Carihuela and spent most of my time along there. Back then there was no walkway around the headland and to get from one side to the other you had a long walk up through the town and back down. Lovely video Kevin, you’ve captured that Spanish character and atmosphere of a warm summers night☀️
Love this place, we have strolled down this front many times, it’s fab, stopping off in the little bars looking out to sea, from Torremolinos round the corner then into La Carihuela, all the way to the harbour in Bemalmadena 😊
The America you featured in this video we were there in May and ate there a few times food was amazing and staff were great with a street singer realy enjoyed it love your videos Kevin helping us decide where to go next thanks 🍺🍺🍺
Our favourite walk most evenings when we visit from Torremolinos near the Sol hotel complex along the front to what we call Ben-a-ma-dina and the harbour. Few cocktails then walk back. Love it and can't wait to get back there in three weeks time.

I've never known these side streets were there on the way in. We were in Tenerife in May and loved it but are going back to Benalmadena October please God. You've made my holiday before I even get there. Keep up the good work 👏

It’s weird how I first stumbled across your channel a couple weeks ago as I was going to the algarve and now I’m travelling to torremolinos On Saturday, my next getaway after that is Munich at the end of July maybe you’ll do some guides there or is that wishful thinking. There's a cluster of Irish bars opposite the Sol Timor apartments Kevin, almost in Benalmádena as you walk towards the marina. Fabulous atmosphere in those Carihuela streets.
La Carihuela is my own neighbourhood when I lived in Spain 30 years ago. It was nice and quiet. Now it looks really high end. I should have kept the flat when they sold them in pesetas. It was very cheap to live there. I am gobsmacked with how different it is now.
The place hasn't changed in 30 plus years since I last went. Still as busy with great bars and restaurants. Fantastic informative video Kevin as usual. 👍👍

La Carihuela is a great place to shop and eat and drink, good upmarket restaurants to little bars for cheaper British style meals, the El Mojito used to be owned by a London couple and did typical English food, had a cheap pint and some good entertainment on at night time, never been since before lockdown so don't know what it's like now .
Charming, you won't be buying an ice cream from there! 🤣 The Bar Elephante looked good, we'd definitely be going there 🐘 We went in the winter, so it was much quieter. S&J 🐘
Brilliant video Kevin, it's brilliant to see resorts you hear about but never visit. Plenty of lovely bars and restaurants on that gorgeous street. Sand castle model was cracking. It was made of sand? I love it when you meet Scottish folk and have a blether, makes me feel like I'm back in Glasgow. Do t know if some viewers understand the banter but keep it up as it is so good. You must get exhausted with all walks and videos, makes sure you drink plenty water in that heat not just tapas and come lol. Take care and keep safe. You're brilliant 🤗
Hi Kevin.just back from Torremolinos and you can get a bet in the big Irish bar in the centre,also get a newspaper close to where Baileys bar is.Baileys did have live music every 2nd night but heard you say Gerry was back in Ireland

Great Video . Haven't been there since the start of the pandemic. I always walk from torremolinos to The very far end of Benalmadena . As far as the path takes you. Either at the Seafront the back streets , where you were or along the top . Not a lot to see along the top but you will encounter a few Irish bars . Near the Lidl. on the way into Benalmadena. Thanks for the video. Heading over in a few months. You have given me some food for thought.
La Carihuela is great, stayed there a few times, very Dutch tho!! MgJamon 1.50 a pint green mahou, 1 euro wine or bottle of bud or corona. After La Carihuela is Montemar and then Benalmadena Marina.
Hi Kevin .la carihuela is better than belamadena or torremolinos we have been going to 25 years now .mainly elderly people stay there is so flat you can walk into torri or belamadena fantastic place to go and when you talk to people at Home they have never heard of in even my granddaughter is in the travel industry an she has not heard of it wat ch all the games in Winston's .mojitos were Elvis sing (by the way he's one of the best Elvis s IV heard and also plays at cabopino camp site which you should have a look at there lovely marina ) Elvis plays in mojitos every second week .never seen any trouble there any time we been . Went in April for a. Month and back in sept oct for a mo nth love the p!ace great video !!!
Ran the Torremolenos half marathon decades ago. Stayed in Benalmadena then but had a horrific experience there. Someone tried to take our daughter away from the hotel. Will never go back.

Was there in May for 2 weeks, fantastic time, back in September for 2 weeks and back in December for 28 nights.
Just back from torremolinos was at the other end los alamos had a great time much more lively at the weekend
