- Between squalls and swells I manage to score a couple good fish on the spear off Turtle Bay, including a good baldy and black spot tuskfish, before finding some rare mint waves on my single fin.

Is this break actually inside turtle bay? i live in shark bay and havent noticed it before but never actually looked. seems like a hell good break.

Quoin head looks epic but SCARY. urchin point classic but also scary in any conditions…
I saw spear fishing surfers decimate all the fish on the inshore reefs around the red bluff and ngarloo in the 1980s and 90s. Not impressed, why lookest so with my cross bow I shot the albatross, think about it.
I do think about it all the time.
I pull a fish out and eat it over 2-4 days. No freezer, no vac bags. Just one guy eating one fish, targeted with zero bycatch or half dead catch/ release.
Apart from full on fishing abstinence, this is as responsible as one can possibly do it.
By the way, not many Coleridge readers out there who have been to the Bluff. Much respect.
