- I'm so tickled to be using one of the new patterns from the new Modern 3-Yard Quilt Book. I Zhuzhed it up with some funky fabrics. I chose the Tranquility pattern to do first because of those beautiful rectangles. This is a super Modern quilt block that can be very easy to put together if you DON'T use directional fabric. I had my doubts about those fabrics, but I like the quilt.

saving to watch the whole video tomorrow! The finished quilt is STUNNING!! I love it. The animal print and the purple is genius. Love it. I wish I'd had that quilt pattern before I'd used my Tula Pink fabric. Oh well. Just have to save up to buy more faaaaaabric! LOLOL

Thank you. I'm so glad my first comment was positive. I thought this color combo might be too much for everyone, but in person, it really is stunning. I fall more and more in love with it every time I walk by it.
For the center long blocks it might be good to cut them at the unfinished size then add the end pieces. That way you would only have to cut the edge pieces and no matching. I can't wait to get my hands on this book.
I thought about that but then you would have to piece it in columns for sure.

Anna Maria has mixed animal prints in with her boho mix in the past! Why not you? I like how it feels like a boho trunk quilt from auntie’s attic but auntie’s castoff fabrics just happened to be fabulous.
LOL. I love this. Yes, those Anna's Animal prints are hard to get a hold of but I really wanted a weird concoction of Animal prints. I'm loving this comment.

So, my fabric is a large African print. I cut my 4-1/2” strips and I am not ever going to be able to match them up. Do you think I can cut the large blocks as one piece and then add the top and bottoms?
You can but the other strips will have to be adjusted too
