There are many videos on the Sten but this is the first I have seen that showed exactly how it fired the round. Thanks for posting this informative video.
@@535tony I have about 2 dozen mags, most of which I bought in the 90s as well still in cosmoline. Whats your recommendation on cleaning, inspecting and prepping them for shooting??
@@lostattheoffice Odorless Mineral Spirits clean off the cosmoline. Use a brush for inside the magazine like a bottle brush. WD40 with some super fine steel wool is good for minor surface rust. Make sure your magazine springs are over 12.5 inches long. Make sure when you load the magazine that the cartridges are at the proper angle. Here is a video I did on that. ruclips.net/video/yzn2zSyUnlw/видео.html
First find out if Machine guns are legal in your State then google class three dealers or machine guns for sale in your state. Many class three dealers have machine guns they have for sale listed on the internet.
@@535tony They're legal here in VA. I have bought several silencers and was ready for a Reising or Sten but my class3 dealer insists that I should wait until I can afford a M16. He's right I'm sure but I'm 68 years old so waiting isn't high on my list. Dealer is a great guy who has let me shoot several of his.
@@rohendee714 The M16 and M11/9 are the most popular machine guns. They are popular because of their design. They both have modular design with an upper and lower receivers. Both have the most parts and accessories available. Both M16 and M11/9 are great first MG choices.
@@rohendee714 I have made some videos on my Sten my Reising and my M10/45. I like my Reising but replacement parts and magazines are hard to find and very few accessories. Sten is great but few accessories. The MAC type MG have parts and accessories available. You can even get an M16 upper for the M11/9.
@@rohendee714 One last piece of advise here. Transferable machine guns are better then money in the bank now. You can buy a Sten or MAC now and trade it in 5 years for more then you paid for it. You can shoot the gun and enjoy it while you are saving money and trade up to the M16.
You've got some cool toys. It would be a fun to see all your MGs in one video. Maybe you could just talk about your personal preferences of each and pick your favorite (if possible)
The MKV is more desirable then the MKII because it has a pistol grip and forward grip but it is very rare in a Transferable SMG and quite expensive. The Sten MKV and MKII barrels are not interchangeable.
