    Thank you very much. I could not figure out why I could not get iptables working and your video explained it perfectly. I was trying to use the filter table's output chain to reject packets destined for another host (in a Linux firewall). Your explanation at 5:26 was exactly what I needed. I changed it to the forward chain and now it works perfectly. Thank you so much.

    Sir please help when i entered ufw status in putty terminal than error will be shown.. 'iptables' error "iptables v1.6.1: can't initialize iptables 'filter' : permission denied(you must be root) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded." ??

      Hi! Yes. IPTable is being used in major commercial firewalls, UTMs and Network security devices. So it will be valuable if your work with these devices.
