Great work, just excellent looking division. Victrix is also my favorit, Warlord better watch out, I agree. Because of this good showcase Im going to order my self some more Victrix Ancient. 🎅🌲😀👍
100% all my last Warlord games purchase have been disappointing starting for the Imperial Roman Army PD: Nice to see you here! I really like your channel.
Stallard better watch out for Victrix and the 3d print files coming out from Wargames Atlantic, especially for the shipping costs for gamers living on the dark side of the Earth. Great progress on your Romans! Definitely looking forward to a historicon vlog!
Congrats on getting the first division completed. Freehand shields genuinely do look really good. Love the work with the banding on the spears as well. Best of luck pushing on with the rest of the project!
Great looking troops! Btw the shields you were commenting on are the Tubantes. They were recruited from a Germanic tribe of the same. Keep on painting!!!!!
Great update! Nothing against warlord, but that sounded like some serious cope coming from Stallard. Warlords Roman’s are puny and cartoonish… their WWII is super bulky and also very cartoony. It’s pretty evident to me Victrix has seized the ancients market decisively as neither warlord or wargames atlabtic have released anything in that space lately.
Wargames Atlantic is going the 3D print STL file direction. Heaps of files out there. Don't know about the ancients, but I know they've got some great looking WWI stuff and some one off stuff like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Vlad the Impailer Dracula (which is f'n sick). Warlord seems to just be concentrating on scale change now.
@@jvcpaints wargame Atlantic also has a program where it will help smaller companies get into the injection molded plastic game acting as a middle man. The only problem with WA is that historicals is still only 50% of their business at best. Some of their historical kits almost seem like an after thought but they got the price game down pat
Their Black Powder/Pike and Shotte ranges can be hit or miss. Their 30 Years War/ECW are generally fine but the details kind of run together on the figures.
@rangerminiaturesandgaming3647 yeah I got a box of their Imperialist infantry for TYW and it was just okay, the Foundry ranges for that period look a lot better

@@oriaj593 Thx 😀. Those Imperial Romans from Warlord Games are to small like 25mm hobbit size next to basic 28mm.

Very nice paints on those!
The attacking unit makes me think of some ancient version of Captain America.
Great update. 👍 TTS has been my go-to ancients game for a while so glad to see you enjoyed it as well. 🙂
Splendid army, the command stand is awesome!
Fantastic progress with the project. Looking amazing
Victrix is tops in my book. :)

Ah yes, very hard to keep the tribes straight especially in the late imperial period, thanks
Thanks for this. It's nice to see you've broken the wargame convention of placing unprotected standard bearers and musicians in the front rank.
Yeah always seemed wierd to me
So amazing. I have about the same amount of late romans.
Looking awesome! What figures will you be using for the Germans? Does any manufacturer make 4th century Germans specifically?

@@Corvinuswargaming1444 yeah their pike and shotte plastics need a huge overhaul

The Victrix Gauls look a lot more detailed and better quality than Warlord. I was not super impressed with Warlord's after working on a lot of them.
Sorry if i missed it and you said it, but what rules are these based for? Hail Caesar?
Originally we were going to do HC but now we have switched to To the Strongest
First
Victrix vincit omnia, et nos cedamus Victrix.
