as a fellow comp final year classics student who learnt latin in about 9 months i feel you!! imposter syndrome based on classism is so detrimental to your mindset and your approach to grades, but you should be so so proud of yourself!! not only have you got an amazing degree result, you overcame so many hardships both long term and short term and you’ve graduated as a wonderful person with an amazing degree from one of the best unis in the world!! you’ve done amazingly well!!

i got a 1st in chemistry at oxford :) think overall i got 71 or 72? but i did sacrifice a lot including my health. probably it has helped me get a job but it has created so many other problems in the rest of my life since. couple of years ago now. well done for your grade and most importantly for staying sane, i know it is super hard to get a 1st in essay subjects! + i don't know how ppl do youtube at the same time... "if i could just delete 3rd year" 🤣🤣🤣 i feel that way towards my 2nd year
I went to a state school but did better than many friends who went to public school. I did natural sciences and managed to get a 1st but only due to insane amount of work (some 16 hour study days over many weeks before exams - no social life at times). Have a place for grad medical school at Cambridge.

I'm a psych student. honestly your GCSE'S are not important, get A's in maths/english and you will be fine. For oxbridge, you should take Psychology, Biology and another science of your choice. Grades and Alevels are important but honestly what you need to work on is extracurricular activities. you need to show you are well rounded and likeable. I highly suggest the BPS a-level research competition as, even if you don't win, this shows an interest in contributing to the psychological field.
Hey! I did a psych degree! As long as your psych degree is one that is certified by the BPS it will be the same anywhere because it must fill a certain quota, and to be able to use ur psych degree effectively it needs to be bps certified! hope this helps :)

I was the same years ago when I got my results. 68.7% 2,1 and i was devastated. But over time I realised it was still really good. well done.
