Great list! Definitely Carcassonne. My wife and I leave the base game and meeple out for two players. Go to coffee game. I’d add in there: Dice Miner Cascadero Yinsh That’s our constant rotation.
It bothers me how the word “gimmick” has a negative connotation. There are two types of people in the world: those who love a good gimmick, and those who are bitter, cynical, and no fun to be around.
El Dorado? For real?😂 Not my experience haha, but then again, I use all the components from expansions including the Golden Temples and create a crazy map. Drafting card system as described in the Golden Temples. Setting up the table costs me about 45 min easy. But hey, that's part of the whole appeal of this game for me🎉❤
I've only played Survive the Island once so far, but I thought the setup was pretty long for that one. Place all the tiles randomly, then take turns to place out a large amount of your meeples, and then the rafts before actually taking the first real turn. Colt Express and Mysterium I've played plenty, and they both have a fair amount of setup also. Especially Mysterium, which is seemingly the main reason that Mysterium Park was made.
Azul is super easy to get to the table. Chuck all the tiles in the bag and go. You’re playing in like 30 seconds.
I was about to make the same comment lol.
Azul is #1 in terms of how much you get from that simple setup, and should really headline any such top 10.
No love for Dice Throne? So easy to get to the table and it's a good time!
This was the one I thought of too. Surprised they didn't mention it.
Framework has grown on me this last year, now it is one of my favorites!
Surprised no mention of Dice Throne. The containers for each individual character are awesome.
I opened comments section just to mention Dice Throne))
I, too, came to the comments to wonder why Dice Throne doesn't seem to be mentioned very often.
Spots and Gentle Rain get to the table real dang fast.
Thunder Road: Vendetta. Grab your color and roll the dice!
Another example are the "Adventure Book" series of games from Ravensburger. I own The Princess Bride one. It's super easy to set up and get playing.
Great list!
Definitely Carcassonne.

I’d add in there:
Dice Miner
Cascadero

G'day, Boys. Nice list. Surprised Azul didn't make it. Dixit is another easy one. But like any list I'm now checking the prices of a few choice cuts.
Another reason Planet Unknown is in my top 10 of all time!
Terracotta Army is really good we enjoyed it on a thematic and mechanical level
Radlands is super easy to tables and to teach as well.
Very Easy to Table Game: Tower up!
Lacuna, just dump and play

A friend gave me the insert he printed for A Feast for Odin. It makes the set up of a big sprawling Euro game relatively quick and
easy.
Oceanos (antoine bauza).
Luxor.
Camel up 2.0
Mlem
Survive/the island
Colt express
k2
Sumatra
Ratland
Mysterium
Dungeon raiders
Not alone
El Dorado

@lndovan4548 It is one of the few family deck building games. With a basic scenario the game should not last more than 50 minutes with 3/4 players.
