My sister loves this game so much, and she loves its themes. Especially this one. She is a special child, she never played video games, but she loved watching me and our only brother play it. She died in her sleep back in 2017. Our family chose to put "The legend will never die" as her epitaph, because despite her tough condition - having to undergo a major operation in such a young age and even though it is difficult for her, she lived for 26 years. She always says "The legend will never die" in tough times, like her very own way to cheer us up, as she can only communicate by phrases. We have learned so much from her, and we chose "the legend will never die", to honor her memory and one of the very few things she loved in this life.
This is SUCH a geeky thing to say but the ten characters in this game felt like my friends as a young child =) I would just daydream at school about their adventures then rush straight home and kick everyone's ass with Taki =)

At first I didn't even know they were the same series because I was still young. Other characters were similar to those two so I don't see much of a point.

My first encounter with Soul Edge was at the arcade two spots down from the Chick-Fil-A I worked at. It was the second fighting game I actually played arcade (SFII...tried MK much later). I spent several dollars of quarters getting through the entire roster, finally deciding that I did best with Mitsurugi. Although I failed to beat the arcade version, I did beat SoulBlade a few times. I could still go with that game today.
