There are going to be more great locations and animals to come from other places in Florida. Please comment, share and like the video if you would like to see more videos like this.

Great product
Such a nice show, I'd rather see Florida like this than Disney any time !!
That was not a cottonmouth at the beginning that was a banded watersnake almost the same the heads look different actually quite different
I noticed that too !
That's why it took off a moccasin would coil and want to fight.
@Mark Lanton A water snake's marking are slightly different but to close to call at a distance, that's why people get bit. Moccasins are aggressive and will chase you on land and in water.
@Mark Lanton So far you haven't pissed one off, BE HAPPY
@@tedsemonis7905...you mean defend itself. It doesn't want to fight. They try to get away if they can. They are absolutely NOT aggressive and don't "chase" people...unless you are messing with them. People like you that say that they chase people are spreading horses**t. I've been herping for 41+ years and have never been chased or "attacked" by a snake, Cottonmouths and Copperheads included, unless I instigated the encounter. 95% of the time, snakes haul ass or freeze, letting their camouflage work. Stop spreading horses**t lies. Please.
Nice work! Thanks for putting this compilation together for all of us trail camera geeks! Most folks don't understand how much we go through to get the trail cam pics!
The snake at the beginning was a water snake not a cotton mouth.
Disagree. These Central FL cottonmouths are way more colorful.
wow so beautiful real whiled animals is so beautiful amazing so enjoying to watching thanks for sharing
Very interesting footage of wildlife and landscape! Thanks for sharing. Also, great original guitar work! Love the experience!
Thank you 😊
I heard that some academics saw one single water buffalo, deep in the Everglades, from Southeast Asia - seemed healthy - this is within the last couple years
Doing trail camera near Tallahassee. Thanks for sharing!
Cool video 📹😎
Definitely a banded water snake. The head was narrow, cylindrical
Until you mess with it and then it'll flatten its head and body out to make itself look bigger. That's what gets these completely harmless snakes killed by dodos like this guy that has no idea about what he is talking about. A snake in or near the water has to be a cottonmouth.
Uneducated morons.
@@johncee853 Well said 😁👍
@@scottlynch3553 Thanks. I've seen people call Eastern Garters and even Black Rat snakes " Water Moccasins", not to mention the different species of watersnakes where I live south of Atlanta. 99.9% of the general public are absolutely clueless about snakes. Really irks me but I'm one of those weirdos that love snakes. My favorite critters!
@@johncee853 I totally agree!! What gets me is, EVERYONE wants to kill snakes, venomous and non venomous alike.. for no reason. They are a huge part of the eco system as you know. Thanks for your passion.😁👍
@@johncee853 bro same, loved them ever since I layed eyes on them in grade school
I am quite surprised that I have not seen many bears along the way. Lots of cool looking animals for sure. Thanks for the work setting up the camera's.
That looked like a harmless Southern water snake to me. Water moccasins are typically bulkier slightly darker, and aren't prone to running away. Awesome video though!
Thick all the way to the tail. For some reason their bands are more pronounced around this swamp.
Kinda looked like a banded water snake didn't get a good look at his head.👍 I've seen water moccasins, back in the day out on Alligator Alley as big around as your wrist!!
Time stamp on the snake?
Enjoyed it, been awhile for one of these but your pretty busy these days on the new outdoor kitchen. Thanks for the content!
Just found your channel. Good stuff.
Man, its good!
Used to walk trails like this for years off of Micco road.
That’s a banded watersnake non-venomous at the beginning of your video that is not a cottonmouth
Do a little research on your snakes and go ahead and try picking one of these up. Central and South Florida cottonmouths are very colorful and have narrower heads. See Tim Harrell's channel and photos of these snakes in the Everglades.
Wild hogs scare me more than anything else out there. Our property backs up to a huge area of wetlands so we’ve gotten used to just about everything. Have a resident alligator in one of our ponds. Nothing worries me except the hogs. Thanks for sharing. 😎
Plant trees every 10 feet. 😉 Seriously though, I understand why. And I do walk tree to tree when I’m hunting in the swamps. Been charged 1 time and it’s a bit unnerving.
What exactly is 'Exotic Animal Control'? Is that really a thing, or were you being sarcastic about some eejit driving his ATV thru this area? Was he looking for/protecting Ghost Orchids, by any chance?
Those are some mean-looking hogs. Have you ever tried to harvest any, and if so, do you like the taste of feral hogs?
Yes and yes
Kudos to you for cutting up that old pine others drove over. I would of tossed some of the fat wood in the truck to use later when camping. Comments on here about finding the Skunk Ape or Bigfoot. All they need to do is to go to the spot on the film at the (15:58 ) mark. Camp there and in the quiet of 2 A.M. , wake to the sound of that Armadillo walking threw the woods. You would swear it's a giant Bigfoot. Even more fun would be having two of them bulldozing their way threw the undergrowth. lol
Great photography and trail cam captures! Be careful out there.
I think the bobcat was a coyote. Wrong gait for a cat. Really nice one Scott.
nice petting zoo
I watch so many of these trail cam video's but I never get to see a Skunk Ape.
trail cam footage starts at 8:08
I just subscribed to your channel because of the quality of the video,am amazed with the wild pigs, such a nice show !!
'My name is Darryl'
"You can tell that to Flo, but I'll call you what I want to. Bigfoot. Sasquatch. Yeti. Skunk Ape. Hell, if you twerk, I might even call you a Swamp Sista!".
Just started watching this video and right off the bat the first snake was just a banded water snake, non venomous, not a cottonmouth. But I’ll continue watching the rest of the video ..
I noticed the same thing
Honest mistake. The Cottonmouth and the Florida Banded Water snake are very similar, except for the markings on the belly.
@@livingadreamlife1428 not if you take a few minuites to actually learn about them. Very easy to tell apart.
Yep -- and the correct term is "venomous", as you pointed out, rather than "poisonous".
well I didn't see any high water or deadly snakes.
what area of florida is this im down in everglades territory this looks a lil further north thanks awesome video
Was this at cartlton preserve ?
Lake Marion Creek WMA
Sweet video!
That’s a pretty spot.
Thanks for stopping by. Moved up to NE FL now and getting some great stuff up here also.
thank you love the guitare but infortunatly it would be hell for me good job peace and love from england
Only pigs and deers?
I'm officially addicted to this channel.
No! I can’t stand the music hiding the sounds of nature.
Not just that, the guy cannot tell a water snake from a real cottonmouth.
Wow. Everything is so super, awesome, thanks exciting, wonderful, terrific. Overstate much?
Seeing you save that stick in front of your to get rid of webs made me laugh. I am disabled and.on cutche crutches. Any one A ring me in the morning would laugh at me. Wave crutch, take 2 steps and repeat. But at least I don't get a face full of spider web!!!
Man this guy's name must be "Dear (Deer) Abby"!
Would like it better without the music. Can’t hear nature.
I hear a wood knock at 15:09!
Nice area but where is your walking staff, Snakes under scrub and spiderwebs and those "where the h#ll did that hole come from stick.
My observation is exactly the same as Mindy's! Clearly see the scales at the bottom the mouth and the head is not bulky enough (arrow-head) nor is there a slit in the eyes!
Check out Tim Harrell's videos on RUclips also. In the swamps of Southern Florida the cottonmouths look different than other places. I don't know why, but they are just as dangerous and more brightly colored and have narrower heads.
@@BackwoodsFloridaAdventures no but you could clearly tell by it’s colors of its head that it wasn’t a cottonmouth. And if you see that at the bottom of its mouth it has slits every few centimeters. Also cottonmouths usually tend to curl up and show their mouth rather than run away
Don't know his snakes very well .. not a cotton mouth.. but I enjoyed the video..
Do some research about southern Florida cottonmouths, or take this snake lightly if you like. They look different in the swamps down here. I suggest Tim Harrel's videos. He is a wildlife photographer.
@@BackwoodsFloridaAdventures I've lived in the Okefenokee Swamp for 20yrs . I know snakes.. that was just a water snake.. not cotton mouth. South FL is no different..
That is 100% not a cottonmouth
Area looked a whole lot like Lake George management area???
Lake Marion Creek WMA
Interesting photography as far as it goes. but no major predators to be seen. There was a bobcat at one point, a coyote at another, but no cougars, wolves or bears, therefore the deer and the wild pig populations will inevitably get overpopulated which creates habitat degradation and disease.
Did you walk in ,I thought the gates were always closed
Go to my channel page were I explain how to get free camping permits. There you can chose drive in day trip permit. I have been checked by FWC for that permit. They are free and will give you a gate code.
@@BackwoodsFloridaAdventures o wow I never knew that.
That is absolutely not a cottonmouth
If you come to Central of South Florida and see one of these guys and think it's a banded water snake. Good luck. They are WAY more colorful here. Check out Tim Harrel's videos from the Everglades.
How do you remember where you put your cameras?
Good memory.
Water banded snake
Plenty of mosquitoes I'm sure
good video! Just in case, have you seen pythons all over the area? Not just in the cameras you put up. Regards!
No pythons so far in this area.
Snakes can be venomous NOT poisonas
Grow your own berries.....
Be very wary of wild pigs
Snakes are venomous.
best place to find good fat lighter is old stumps
I Saw him pull out that chain chainsaw to remove that dead fall that fell over the road ... They must have edited out the part were it took him a half an hour pulling on the damn thing to get it started ... I hate pull starts with a passion !

@@BackwoodsFloridaAdventures No disrespect intended ... But I still think that pull starts were invented to torment the blue Blue-collar worker ! : (
@@matthewnelson325 you just have to know how to start one
@@brucecarter6904 I do know how to use pull starts, I use them every day... and they will Never be as convenient as turning a key 🔑
@@matthewnelson325 I've never saw a chainsaw with a battery and electric starter that used a key
Dude, you need to ACTUALLY LEARN about the snakes around you. 100% NOT a Cottonmouth. I've actually had to pick up snakes like that and let them gnaw on me to prove to people like you that you don't know what you are talking about. Gets waaaaay too many completely harmless snakes killed. Besides, even with the different species of venomous snakes in Florida, you are more likely to be killed by your neighbors pitbull. You people worry about the wrong critters. A snake won't mess with you unless you are intentionally frakking with it or you aren't paying attention to where you are putting your feet and hands. 99% of the time, it's the person's own fault for getting bit. Educate yourself...please.
Pit bull get a bad wrap too, but your right
@@crustyychris8904 but pitbulls actually attack people, snakes don't. If you get bit by a snake, it's most likely your own fault. Not looking where you put your hands or feet, trying to catch or kill a snake or just poking at one with a stick...it's usually the person's own fault. Pitbulls and other dogs will see you a hundred feet away and chase you down. Snakes do not do that, no matter what the dumba**, uneducated public thinks. Very glad that you like snakes.
Agreed on the water snake. I’m glad you made note of that because most people where I live believe that “only a dead snake is a good snake” despite my attempts to educate people, it seems impossible. Definitely not a cottonmouth.
animals can hear the camera
I’d like to go hog hunting there
Snakes are wild hog food !
I'm not going to watch this video when the commentator cannot tell a cottonmouth from a non venomous water snake.
Well you are sadly wrong. Central and South Florida cottonmouths are very colorful. If you don't believe me, see Tim Harrell's wildlife photography and his RUclips channel. They have very bright bands, so if you want to mistake these guys for banded water snakes in this area, do so at your own peril. Had to learn this for myself after moving down from NE FL, where they are almost black.
It was a Cottonmouth. I once had a water snake in my garage and yes, they do look like “viperish” but the snake in this video was not a water snake.
6:27 DM
@ 6:27 Is A dogman
Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children sent me to numerous SERE schools - too many of them included swamps/jungles . Like Indiana Jones , I hate snakes ( I did eat several of them however 😏 ). Semper Fi
Man if you just take a few minutes to learn about them you’ll find that they really aren’t so bad. They get a bad wrap just cause of the community. You’ll see that they’ll always run before they attack unless cornered...
P.S. the hogs heard the camera.
