I saw Maria on "The Five" tell the story of her intro song by The Ramones. Then later in the day I was watching Lilyhammer and there was the song again in a Season 1 episode that was filmed in Times Square. Excellent choice for the soundtrack. Props out to Little Steven.

Who's here because Maria Bartiromo just told the story of this song on 'The Five' ?? Very unbelievable. Joey asked her to come to CBGBY's to hear the song ... at midnight ... but she passed because she had to be up at 5am for her day job (Squawk Box). She sent a camera crew instead --- and she said this was the biggest thing she regrets in her life. Wow ... having Joey Ramone write a song about you! Un Real! Great song, too! Maria is still the powerhouse at Fox Business and I sing the Bartiro-mo-eww-wee-eww part of the song in my head when see her.
I guess it's been about 12 years or so...Just saw Maria on Fox&Friends talking about this...before her show comes on this morning. She told the story that Joey was a great investor, and talked to her often about investing. He wrote this song for her, and invited her down town, in the village I think, to watch him perform it. I guess they had a lot of mutual respect for each other. Unfortunately, she said no because she had an early show the next morning. They sent a film crew down though. They later scheduled a time for them to come on her show and perform it. Unfortunately, she did not know how sick he was, and he passed away before they could come on the show. She has a lot of regret for skipping that show that night. Very enduring story. I had to come find this song....What a great song, by an incredible artist, to an incredible lady. Two beautiful minds!

I just learned this while I watching The Five on Fox today. They had her on the show and she told us how it all came about. I watch Maria's show on Sunday mornings. She now is on regular Fox channel at 7pm. Fox News Primetime. I found you because I wanted to hear Joey's song. Thanks.
