    Good idea about seeding several per cell, and then eventually dividing that cell into 1/4ths for the final transplant.

      Green Garden Just them down the middle. Youll lose some but lots will survive. Once move to a cup and they get bigger dived them again. The should be ready for the ground by then. I cell will get you 4 planting plugs for the ground.

    Thank you. My package didn't specify the dwarf. The label is princess variety. They would have spoiled the garden bed. Now I will plant them appropriately and enjoy them better.

    It's June 22nd in NJ. Am I too late to plant Shasta Daisy seeds? Can I plant directly into an outdoor bed or should I do the indoor cells as you describe in the video?

      I don't think it's too late to try! I got a few growths very late in the year! I transplanted 1 in June. It seems to died off but dropped seeds and the seedlings are growing! I'm Amazed!! This is my 1st attempt so have to see how they do

    Hi! Starting Shasta’s and a bunch of other perennials indoors this winter. Most have germinated, planted a few weeks ago. Do you harden them before planting in the garden? If so, how long do you harden them before planting in garden?

    • @pershop4950
      @pershop4950 4 года назад

      Almost any plant that came from indoors, including indoor or under shade at a garden center, should be hardened off before planting outdoors. You can usually do that over a period of 7-14 days, depending on how careful you want to be or how tough you know the plant to be.
      Eg, with succulents, I just throw them out into the spot where they'll grow. They'll change colors with the sun exposure but still be OK over time.
      But with other herbs or veggies from the store or indoors seed starting, I would give them a proper hardening off time.

      I do the tip below is good. About 7 days. Start with 30 minutes and progress more each day.
