When Selena died my mom was in eighth grade, my grandma had literally bought my mom Selena’s album the week she died, then my mom came home from school and my grandma tells her “that Selena singer got shot” and mom says she started crying. If her fans cried, I can’t image what her family went through🥺❤️
@@Veronica-bc6pp it's not funny it's sad 🙄🙄 why would it be funny that two people we admire get shot and killed 4 no reason ( god what is wrong with this world🤔😩🤧)
No they didn't let me explain so u hooligans will get it right Selena died from blood loss Nipsey was assassinated and also died from gunshot wounds just like Selena they both died on the same day but in tragic ways
Now it’s been 26 years since her death.. I wasn’t even alive until over a year after she passed.. that incident should have never even happened, she was soo young and had her whole life ahead of her. We miss you so much Selena, you didn’t deserve to die the way that you did. We love you forever and always. Rest in eternal peace queen ❤️
I was 4 when she died, my mom said I cried when she told me. I used to listen to her cassette 24/7. My mom immediately took us to my aunt's house and along the way she saw people in hysterics and others passing out purple ribbons to wear in her honor. Everyone felt it that day, terrible lost.
I was in the 9th grade close to finishing my freshman year in high school in 1995 when Selena passed. I remember how devastating it was, for the Latin American community in particularly. I remember the girls in my school coming in the next school day and talking about it. They say a lot of times that people don't know what they have until it's gone. This was probably the most untrue statement ever in the case of Selena. People KNEW what the world and music had lost. The outpouring of love at the time and even the love for Selena now 28 years after that tragic day, is a testament to how special she was.
While Wikipedia isn’t fully reliable, it was stated that Tejano music’s popularity died out after her death and we can definitely see that now. She broke the glass ceiling and was working on building past that. It’s so aggravating that someone took this much advantage of her heart and soul. I hope everyone riots in 2025 so we can make sure we never see Yolanda ever again. She does not deserve any sort of life to redeem herself.

I was in total shock the day when Selena died. At the time I was not really a big Tejano music fan but the day I heard her songs like "Como La Flot", "La Carcacha" and "Amor Prohibido" it really changed my life. She was on her way to becoming a huge star and was in the process of working on her first English language crossover album until tragedy struck all thanks to that evil monster Yolanda Saldivar. She took away such a beautiful soul from us. What a tragic loss for someone so young.
