Today we explore what the Mandelbrot people do in their spare time - tic-tac-toe!

Remember, you're not going through a tunnel. You're zooming in on an infinitely complex structure.
Screw you, I'm going through a tunnel god dammit!!!!
@@David_Last_Name It's just hard to see it that way...

This.
Well, if anything, they are pros at drawing.
It is a black screen

One thing I noticed is that after every few seconds there was a new set of X's and O's. In every new set there was double the X's and double the O's. When the video went into reverse, I noticed that there were plenty of repeating patterns. I was also mesmerized by the colors and beauty of the Mandelbrot set. Ah, the beauties of algebra.
Yeah, I've noticed that the mandelbrot set abides to powers of two everywhere... weird
@@OrangeC7 it's because of the 2 in the formula z ^ *2* + c
It's amazing what you can do with just Z=z^2+c...and a bit of Scale of the Universe 2.
Shameless promotion of another thing cary kidnaps human made?
I couldn't care less about the Scale of the Universe, fractal, algorithms, or C#.
It's bloody beautiful.
Yeah. C# is the best musical note.

The smallest Tic-Tac-Toe game in the universe. New Record!

there is a infinity number of smaller versions, but this guy cant zoomed into it because our technology is too much limitable
No I saw an apparent variation of tic-tac-toe at 2:31
Cooooooooooool! 😃
@Anthony Miles me who saw a 1 planck length sentence:am i a joke to you?

@@nicefloweytheoverseer7632 “c” should be the 3rd letter, not 4th, the “i” is “e” and is the 4th letter.
Aww, let the flower have this one.
Ooh, story time!
The person who posted this video is named Cary Huang. He is a co-creator of a web series called Battle for Dream Island, which is posted on a channel called jacknjellify. In fact, the series is probably what Cary is most well-known for, and he has worked on it since its inception in 2010 all the way up to today. Honestly, that's what I call dedication.
The series contains characters called algebraliens, who are beings that resemble mathematical symbols like numbers and variables. One of these algebraliens is named X, which makes for a funny little connection to this video. The algebraliens are canonically genderless. However, some of them adopt gendered pronouns from English. X in particular goes by he/they pronouns. Of course, that means that the sentence in the video can't be referring to him, which unfortunately loosens the connection between the two.
There are a variety of pronoun preferences among the other algebraliens. For example, Nine is an algebralien who goes by any pronouns. In various videos on the jacknjellify channel, Nine has been referred to with he/him and she/her pronouns. Inconsistent indeed, but epic all the same.
And with that, I leave on one final note:
Trans rights. 🏳️⚧️❤️
What I like is how before you get to the board, you start to see the smaller elements repeat themselves before they come together.
lol when I was little I used to play with the scale, who knew it was made by one of my favorite youtubers?
In the beginning I thought this youtuber PLAGIARIZED the idea of the "scale of the universe".
No, he MADE it.
It’s like there’s a highway system inside highways. The land of x, circles, spirals, etc. And each land has incredible beauty. Stunning
This was funny. And mathsy. Funny and mathsy. And beautiful. What a combination! Pretty close to perfection, in fact. :)

3:33 it's funny how it zoomed out completely from the Mandelbrot set and into Scale of the Universe

No, fidget spinners have 3 arms, not 4.
+Yvel Trollface no, rare things called quad fidget spinners have 4 arms.

Once K-#249 saw a rainbow zinc alloy fidget spinner.
Most fidgets are ys.

zooming in is cool, but out is amazing
If I were you, I would have zoomed into all of the X's and O's. (They all have minibrots in the middle, by the way).
Edit: I actually did do that. well, not really. I actually zoomed all the way to 1.9*10^1221 into one of the O's on the outer edge of the octagon at 2:35. I have not rendered the video of that location yet, but here are the coordinates:

About the infinite detail...
Perhaps this was originally a normal game where the people drew just normal X’s and O’s, but then someone maybe two hundred years later made a new version of the board by adding this infinite detail.
Wait, YOU MADE SCALE OF THE UNIVERSE 2? I am... not surprised. o.o
It seems that patterns look similar as you zoom in but they change a bit.
In order to find what you're looking for, do you analyze a pattern and decide that it might develop into your target? If that makes sanse...

eventually we'll find a picture of flandre scarlet in a fractal. science is truly the future.
The real coordinate needs a negative sign in front of it.
And you only need a magnification of 319 to realize the Tic-tac-toe pattern. At least with Mandel Machine.
How can one implement numbers in a program that are smaller than doubles?

What program did you use to create this video?
how do you zoom in? are you using processing here as well as with the evolution sim?
I love this. I wrote a mandelbrot program in C#, but it doesn't zoom very well because the max double resolution has 15 significant digits. What program did you use? Does it slow down once you zoom past 10^16? What do you use for fast, unlimited precision arithmatic?
He probably used Kalles Fraktaler. It's a free zoom program that's 100 times faster than other programs at zoom levels of e100.
Probably using maths library. It will be slower though.
He probably used fractal extreme.
I reccomend Kalles Fraktaler though, as it is free and much faster.

All minibrots are macrominibrots because the average-sized minibrot is *infinitely small* , but there are no infinitely small minibrots. Fractals and infinity and things are really, really strange
