- Council Bluffs' oldest graves aren't in Fairview Cemetery overlooking the Missouri River valley, they are at Lewis Central's Titan Hill School overlooking Tastee Treat. Construction of the middle school had barely began in 1975 when workers uncovered human remains. The county coroner was called in, but if there was any foul play, it had happened over two centuries earlier, and the matter was turned over to archeologists instead. Construction resumed, the school built, and what is likely the oldest historical site in the county remains unmarked and unknown. In this episode of History Happened Here historian and Lewis Central High School teacher Troy Stolp explains what was found in the ossuary.

Do you have anything on Playland Park, with the wooden Rollercoaster?
A video is in the works! We've done some oral history interviews with people that worked at the park and collected a lot of pictures; hopefully we'll have it up on in a month or so maybe? If you haven't subscribed to this channel please do so, then you will get a notification anytime we put up something new. We did a video about Playland Speedway for an exhibit Douglas County Historical Society had last year; the video mentions the roller coaster in passing... here's a link: ruclips.net/video/gkgxh1wQ8-A/видео.html
