I want to declutter Delina exclusif, I am just over it!😢 it is too complex, and I think I have gotten to the point of my frag addiction where I want to smell “nichely” mass appealing not complex!😂 I reached this conclusion after too many hits and misses. At the end of the day nobody truly care what you are wearing, or how expensive it is. The most important thing is that you enjoy the scent, and it matches your personality and lifestyle! I crave a pretty, long lasting, feminine signature scent that people will remember me by. My top contenders for now: Greenwich Village, For your love, Fire at Will, PDM Oriana, and Baldafrique. Those will be my ideal collection of 5! Ugh I can’t wait to downsize and curate my collection to no more than 10 bottles all sitting nicely on a mirrored tray on my dresser. My dream 😅

Great video! I love watching declutters, but I also like being reminded to put the brakes on once in a while. I started a 6 month no-buy at the beginning of December. I don’t have quite as many as you do, but it’s still a significant amount. I think we need to slow down sometimes and explore what we already have, otherwise we’re locked in a cycle of new, new, new and it becomes more about the shopping experience than it is about the fragrances.

Exactly. I have a bucket full of eye palettes I bought last year ….I wear only when I film. Hopefully they don’t expire for another 20 years. 😂Yes the practical side of me realizes fragrances are assets and can always be liquidated if one needs to. 😉

I’ve been decluttering, too. Im actually revisiting some and giving them a few wears before officially decluttering. If I really feel like I will wear it and love it, I’m keeping it and putting it out so I’ll grab it and use it up. However, I won’t have it on the table for repurchase. Most of them are going to the declutter box though. I love blind buying. It’s exciting, but I’m sampling much more now since I’m liking higher $ stuff. Definitely not blind buying anything over $200. I’m also buying more smaller bottles when possible. I don’t need everything in a giant bottle. I appreciate 30ml and 50ml options. 😊
That was my issue also. I loved the excitement of a good blind buy! But I had so many bad buys…it was ridiculous! I don’t mind blind buying something really cheap. But even those I’m doing much much less of. Baby steps.
I’m pretty successful with blind buys as far as liking the scents, but I end up with plenty of redundancy because of it. BTW I blind bought Teo Cabanel Encore (new release), and it’s a very lovely sandalwood fragrance. 🥰

I started to collect perfumes during the COVID-19 pandemic. I think it was my escape mechanism from all the chagrins that came along with that period, particularly in my home country which was a playfield for Murphy's law. I have recently tried Trussardi Limitless Shopping Via della Spiga and it captured my heart - bought it within hours of testing it, it is a beautiful powdery honey floral. This line is not spoken of enough and is quite affordable (relatively)

Random thought…but if you are constantly wearing a different scent each time you meet people, they might start to think you are living off free samples from the perfume counter 🤣🤣🤣 they have no clue we have hundreds of bottles sitting on our shelves 😂 This hobby is kind of ridiculous if you think about it. We really don’t need full bottles of everything! Samples and decants will do.
You have a point. For a similar reason I prefer to buy small sized perfumes. Samples, travel sizes or 30 ml if it's possible. I would never get through a 100 ml bottle before getting bored with it.
@@marielle7505yeah! I am sticking to 10ml Decants for now! Funny thing is after you spray about 5ml or 10ml from a big bottle we typically get tired and move on to the newest release! That is why a lot of influencers declutter full, barely used bottles. Even 30ml is too much for a blind buy, except you really love it. The rate at which new scents get released a 10ml or less will suffice and satisfy our fomo.
Not to offend anyone, but I am collecting perfumes FOR MYSELF and I do not care what other people think as far as how much money is spent on this and whether I have purchased full bottles or live off of free samples. 😊
Lol. Yes even though I truly believe in miracles….that is one which will not happen (before the end of the year). My collection needs to shrink by 50% first….plus I totally get the gun in watching collection videos…..I just get uneasy with the thought of doing mine currently. Once it shrinks and I can store in one place……it’s a real possibility.

I love this! I’ve recently been curating my collection; so like you, I no longer buy fragrances that are similar in notes. Also, weak fragrances are now “deuces”. Over hyped fragrances are a “No” and fragrances that require me layering to get the true scent is not worth the splurge. I’m very intentional with my fragrances. Every fragrance I own is used/ not forgotten. I enjoy my reduced collection. 💞

First, let me just say how beautiful you are. Love that top, hair and makeup. Also, I absolutely love that you are curating your collection. I believe the same thing, where I need to absolutely love everything that I have, and where all of them. Even if it's just a couple times in the year. But if it has a special meeting, or for a specific event, something like that I'm all about it. But if you just never reach for it, or if it's just a like, no thanks. I don't have enough room. And it can go to a more loving home. Oh! I ended up getting a bottle of the Kenzo World Power you suggested, and I love it. Still need to see how it does in the summer, but so far I'm liking it a lot. I got it for a really great deal off of Mercari. I think I found it for 19 bucks.

Just one world about the brand "100 Bon" : It's a french pun, we say "Cent Bon" (100 = cent in french), because of "sent bon" (with the verb "sentir") that means "smell good". Litteraly, the name of the brand means "Smell Good", the pronunciation in french is totally identical (100 = cent / sent). :)

Intense café, I really didn't enjoy when I first got it. I have been wearing it much more lately and I am more into it. I prefer it to roses vanille, it's more interesting. I also dislike CH good girl 🤷♀️

Good decisions. I feel like I'm ahead of the game by never having bought most of these. I just can't make any Jean Paul Gautier fragrances work for me -- to cloyingly sweet. Of the ones you decluttered, I do own Seductive Noir, since I prefer sage to lavender in this accord (i.e. love Mon Guerlain but it has lavender). I'm really trying to buy decants instead of bottles when I'm interested in something.
Place vendome (the perfume store that is pure heaven at least), is in Belgium, not in Paris 😊 I can’t help but really want to take credit for having that gem of a store (David and Steven are the greatest!) in our country.
This is good timing because of the Sephora sale on perfume. I have a TON of small roller balls that are BARELY touched and they’re several years old - if I can’t get through roller balls I can’t get through a big bottle. I need to try samples first, not just on a piece of paper, and I don’t think Ulta gives little vials. I’m really sensitive to smells as I’ve gotten older and some just trigger headaches. I’m sick of reading descriptions like it adjusts to smell like a better version of you and it has a strong biting note. I grew up wearing Coty Wild Musk, and Calvin Klein Obsession in high school (so many compliments) but I’m still trying to find a signature scent - I like different things and usually find the popular ones like Black Opal too strong, and Mugler Angel and Alien give me headaches. Can’t stand too powdery or spicy, but I like Philosophy Fresh Cream warm cashmere, but I think my husband smells matches, and regular fresh cream smells like sour milk. It’s hard because it’s tough to find a perfect blend, not too sickening sweet, but I like vanilla (not vanilla fields from the 80’s). Scents can bring back so many memories. I just want something I like that doesn’t put people off from the intense smell and that my husband likes (fragrance in general makes his nose plug and he starts to sneeze). The worst thing is getting on an elevator with a musty strong scent). I think the epitome of popular iconic perfume that repulses me is Chanel No. 5. I would rather wear a shea butter lotion and keep it simple. I used to love Britney Spears fantasy and fantasy intense back in the day but they might smell cheap now, not that price matters, but expensive doesn’t mean I’ll love it - most Tom Ford are too strong. Once I smelled My Burberry and loved it, then smelled it in a gift pack and it smelled terrible. And it’s a strong floral. I wish I knew what exact notes repulse me if it’s too much (Jasmine maybe?). Funny I just bought a $10 Skylar roller ball at TJ Maxx in Salt Air and actually like how subtle it is. So did my daughter and we have different tastes.
At least your Magnificat actually had a smell! I purchased from FragranceBuy in the summer and when I sprayed it, it smelled like nothing! I waited and a weird dusty book smell came through for ten minutes and then it was gone. No, no, no. I got a successful refund. I think it was fake🤷🏾♀️
I feel a declutter area comming. My collection got to 35 fragrances in lockdown and Im already over it! I don't like clutter en am selling 6 perfumes right now that I blind bought

I Appreciate your honesty. Do you have a recommendation for a PDM Oriana dupe? I don’t think Delina is for me but I’m curious about the bright aspect of Oriana. Unfortunately I don’t live to a retailer to see for myself.
That’s wonderful! Mine was a few years old and I remember others on Fragrantica complaining of the same thing so I do think it was reformulated or tweaked because I’ve heard ppl who have recently purchased it have no issues with longevity. 😉❤️

They’re both fabulous, but very different IMO. Babycat is gorgeous deep vanilla with and undercurrent of smooth leather. Ivory Route is more about the spices and leans slightly masculine with vanilla that is not as rich or thick as the vanilla in Babycat.

I love this! I’ve recently been curating my collection; so like you, I no longer buy fragrances that are similar in notes. Also, weak fragrances are now “deuces”. Over hyped fragrances are a “No” and fragrances that require me layering to get the true scent is not worth the splurge. I’m very intentional with my fragrances. Every fragrance I own is used/ not forgotten. I enjoy my reduced collection. 💞

First, let me just say how beautiful you are. Love that top, hair and makeup. Also, I absolutely love that you are curating your collection. I believe the same thing, where I need to absolutely love everything that I have, and where all of them. Even if it's just a couple times in the year. But if it has a special meeting, or for a specific event, something like that I'm all about it. But if you just never reach for it, or if it's just a like, no thanks. I don't have enough room. And it can go to a more loving home. Oh! I ended up getting a bottle of the Kenzo World Power you suggested, and I love it. Still need to see how it does in the summer, but so far I'm liking it a lot. I got it for a really great deal off of Mercari. I think I found it for 19 bucks.

What a decluttering :p Thank you for sharing with us. Just one world about the brand "100 Bon" : It's a french pun, we say "Cent Bon" (100 = cent in french), because of "sent bon" (with the verb "sentir") that means "smell good". Litteraly, the name of the brand means "Smell Good", the pronunciation in french is totally identical (100 = cent / sent). :)

Good decisions. I feel like I'm ahead of the game by never having bought most of these. I just can't make any Jean Paul Gautier fragrances work for me -- to cloyingly sweet. Of the ones you decluttered, I do own Seductive Noir, since I prefer sage to lavender in this accord (i.e. love Mon Guerlain but it has lavender). I'm really trying to buy decants instead of bottles when I'm interested in something.

This is good timing because of the Sephora sale on perfume. I have a TON of small roller balls that are BARELY touched and they’re several years old - if I can’t get through roller balls I can’t get through a big bottle. I need to try samples first, not just on a piece of paper, and I don’t think Ulta gives little vials. I’m really sensitive to smells as I’ve gotten older and some just trigger headaches. I’m sick of reading descriptions like it adjusts to smell like a better version of you and it has a strong biting note. I grew up wearing Coty Wild Musk, and Calvin Klein Obsession in high school (so many compliments) but I’m still trying to find a signature scent - I like different things and usually find the popular ones like Black Opal too strong, and Mugler Angel and Alien give me headaches. Can’t stand too powdery or spicy, but I like Philosophy Fresh Cream warm cashmere, but I think my husband smells matches, and regular fresh cream smells like sour milk. It’s hard because it’s tough to find a perfect blend, not too sickening sweet, but I like vanilla (not vanilla fields from the 80’s). Scents can bring back so many memories. I just want something I like that doesn’t put people off from the intense smell and that my husband likes (fragrance in general makes his nose plug and he starts to sneeze). The worst thing is getting on an elevator with a musty strong scent). I think the epitome of popular iconic perfume that repulses me is Chanel No. 5. I would rather wear a shea butter lotion and keep it simple. I used to love Britney Spears fantasy and fantasy intense back in the day but they might smell cheap now, not that price matters, but expensive doesn’t mean I’ll love it - most Tom Ford are too strong. Once I smelled My Burberry and loved it, then smelled it in a gift pack and it smelled terrible. And it’s a strong floral. I wish I knew what exact notes repulse me if it’s too much (Jasmine maybe?). Funny I just bought a $10 Skylar roller ball at TJ Maxx in Salt Air and actually like how subtle it is. So did my daughter and we have different tastes.

At least your Magnificat actually had a smell! I purchased from FragranceBuy in the summer and when I sprayed it, it smelled like nothing! I waited and a weird dusty book smell came through for ten minutes and then it was gone. No, no, no. I got a successful refund. I think it was fake🤷🏾♀️

Do you see similarities between Babycat and Ivory Route?
They’re both fabulous, but very different IMO. Babycat is gorgeous deep vanilla with and undercurrent of smooth leather. Ivory Route is more about the spices and leans slightly masculine with vanilla that is not as rich or thick as the vanilla in Babycat.
I personally don’t . The only similarities is they are both beautiful. Then ditto Crafty…😂
