Forests're nice. Especially in autumn. Forest themes are some of my favourite video game music, and I have been looking forward to making this mix for a looong time. Forest themes have everything: they're chill, they're enchanting, they're mysterious, they can get really dark, and they feature wood & wind instruments with a nice healthy dose of echo or reverb, chimes, bells, long sustained piano notes, pizzicato, in short everything I love. Unfortunately I wasn't able to include some of my personal favourites, like the forest theme from Chrono Cross and FF6 and the forest village theme from FFXII. Oh well, we've all listened to these tracks thousands of times already anyway.
I'm so glad you included Wise Owl Forest from Dark Cloud, that brings back so many memories for me and I always felt as though the OST was somewhat underrated. Wonderful mix as always ❤
