Thanks for watching!
That’s one heck of a catch mate!
Certainly is
@@southcoast999 👍🏻
That should not be responding on the road it is illegal for a start the vehicle is over the permitted size for type approval and secondly they have no legal exemptions!!
@@mickstebbings1192 “permitted size for type approval” makes no sense and is not relevant. This is defined as an emergency vehicle as it is being used for firefighting services, therefore it is in the law to use exemptions and blue lights.
@@Djnffnoeosmfasjjd This vehicle should not be responding on the road It does not meet the requirements of “Suitable vehicle”it’s designed for Airfield use and a private company does not have any traffic exemptions 🚒🚒
Awesome.
Would you rather:
See a big yellow dump truck from a mine
or
this behemoth of a vehicle instead?
Either way, both literally take 2 lanes of a road.
thats pretty cool!
Wow!
Yeah!
Is this in UK?
Yes
Why do airport crash trucks need to train on narrow streets in traffic? They spend most of their time on runways and taxiways 5 lanes wide and they don't go anywhere without clearance from the tower.
Aircraft don't always crash inside the boundaries of the airport. That's why these things are designed to drive through perimeter fences, ditches and hedges (or on the roads) so they can get to a crash quickly. No point helplessly watching a burning aircraft because you've not been trained to drive 500 metres down the public road. (I don't really know anything about them but I would like to think they are allowed to drive outside the airport when needed)
Have you seen the "crash gates" in the perimeter fence of airports? Many people assume that in the event of an "on airport" crash they are opened and the local fire service goes through them into the airport. Quite the opposite. In the event of an "off airport" crash those things, which weigh up to 40 tonnes, come through the gate at high speed to attend the scene. Through being the operative word. They don't trouble themselves to stop and open them, the gates collapse on impact and they are not going to be too fussed about scratching your badly parked vehicle just the other side.
Only a few seconds long but here’s your answer.. ruclips.net/video/12DdZGafYys/видео.html
The answer is in your question which is the words 'most of the time'. What about the rest of the time? That terrible crash at Shoreham is an example.
Seen airport trucks run mutual aid to local authorities services.
Belfast city airport was off runway to a small aircraft crash years ago outside the airport.
That’s a heck of a behemoth imagine not seeing that in the mirror coming towards you sirens blaring lights flashing no excuse for not seeing it. It’s a serious piece of appliance.
Yep, and not just for airplane fires, they also apparently work for knocking down wildfires as well from what I’ve seen in videos even if they weren’t intended to be used that way
You would be surprised how many people don't see regular fire engines it's a nightmare for us and the amount of people with phone's in hand too
@@firejam78 i can only imagine If I’m seeing blue lights in my mirror and hear the sirens I try to give the emergency vehicle room to pass me I also stay off the phone when I’m driving. Honest I do always have a look in the mirror in case I see blue lights flashing and hear the sirens blaring away.
@@noahater5785 well why not it has a big water tank and it’s I think 6x6 wheel drive so it can go where normal appliances can’t go.
These are so rare that when they are on the road (at least where I live) that people do not miss them in the mirrors but they stare so much that they dont concentrate on the road and almost cause accidents because of it🤣🤣
Wow. Now that’s a catch that you can very reasonably call ‘Super Rare’! 😅 Nicely captured! How often do they do these training drives on public roads??
Thanks, not sure how often they go out all I can say that it was it’s second run if the day as mist it the first time
Dublin Airport send there crash tenders out to cover surrounding areas of the airport seen them quite a few times its some sight
Mainly after dfb request for incident requiring a lot of foam but Rescue 12(Domestic water tender)Goes out of airport grounds and in surrounding areas
Now that is a very rare catch indeed, nice one mate 🧑🏻👍🏻🚒
Thanks
@@southcoast999 You're welcome 🧑🏻👍🏻
Now that's a few gallon of fuel burned in that small clip....
A great catch tho.
That is one of the rarest catches, nice one!
I guess they’re allowed to drive outside the airport in case of an emergency outside although their jurisdiction is Airport only
Wow! Pa300 in UK!
No that's not PA300, altough they sound similar
@@BlackieFoxxless what is it then
Those upper blue beacons are total garbage. Lucky its always gloomy and rainy there

I know HIOWFRS Do a lot of EFAD training they also do BA training for civil Nuclear constabulary as we had some officers doing their BA training when I was doing mine but a brilliant catch
Thunderbirds are go !!!
Sounds like they have American police sirens
0:21 that dude who also was recording also uploaded a vid to yt
What a very rare catch you don't see crash tenders often driving on the roads unless nearby fire stations have asked for there expertise deal with fires as well you sometime seen them responding within the outskirts of the airport in smaller fire engines or crash tenders as they are still deal with the surrounding area close to the airports.
The only one I have heard of was a crash tender from East Midlands Airport helping extinguish a fuel fire at Donnington Park race Track (some years ago)
The defence fire crash tenders from RAF Northolt helped put out a grassfire on the other side of the A40 on Tuesday, was quite a sight to see them attempt to turn around on the roundabout after travelling the wrong way up the carriageway!
@@jamiefenner123 yes that's definitely was a even rare sight take into consideration that All fire service was really stretched thin MOD giving a help in hand as they was battling that fire on there own by what I could see but big let down with a truck that size they have the water pressure a big enough tank but no small hose reels just big houses no Qwick release side hoses
You get out of the way with or with out sirens if you saw you see that on the road .
Some people deffo got scared when they saw it
It’s super cool in Wyoming, Minnesota you can see these parked outside of the facility where they are manufactured
Imagine that filled with toxic poison and coming down your street. Sprayer at the ready.
Well, try.
Absolutely mental catch
Alright calm down

German quality product!
In the USA....Pierce is considered the top of the line. Rosenbauer not so much.
Hot fire truck. We must see more of these roaming our streets!
Rosenbauer has recently revealed the electric version of the Panther, really a nice machine.
That's gotta be a Federal Signal PA300 siren on this one!
Yes it is! :))
That's not PA300, altough they sound similar
@@BlackieFoxxless That is PA300. We had the same one on our old firetrucks.
Federal Signal PA300*
@EstonianRescueServices no that is NOT PA300, it just sounds similar to that one
Quite possibly EFAD training.
OMG! What a catch! Great one!
Beautiful rig!
I hope the crew safely resolved the problem at hand and made it home to their loved ones, this trip and every one that follows.

Thunderbirds are go! wow what a site lol you would move for that!
When you witness Airport Crash Tenders going anywhere on City Streets under Lights and Siren, you absolutely positively known it’s something damn serious, because these Appliances are not built for sustained Road or Highway travel.
Only time i ever seen an airport crash truck go out is for a truck fire on a highway that needs foam for it to be put out or its too dangerous for firefighters to get close with a hose like a tanker roll over and explosion
in case of an aviation incident the airport FD at our state capital city airport will respond to incidents outside the airport within a certain range around the airport; Not sure if it was 10 miles, 15 miles, ... sth like that
Besides that they can (but rarely are) dispatched to e.g. fully involved structure or vehicle fires if absoluetly necessary
awesome catch of the rosenbauer panther 6x6 fire crash truck man
Great video mate
Thanks
And you know it handles like a fat cow on a flat airport so I imagine it is a wild ride on roads :o)
Twins , numbered 3 and 4 .
NICE 🤩!
Awesome catch!!!!
Do most CFR units have sirens?
nice catch
Never seen one of those before on the streets
Yes quite rare
Around here they are on local calls multiple times a year. On some wildfires last year they even shedueled them between the flights. Once the early morning flight left, they used the 3-4 hours with only private planes to send out two of their trucks and did this I think for 3 days in a row.
Awesome was this on a real shout of efad?

Maybe if you got your arse into gear you might actually get some interesting things big boy
Nice bit of kit 👌
nice one
Its a Crash Truck
Great catch mate but one question I have is if that’s an AIRPORT applicants why isn’t it on airport grounds. Surely airports have their appliances on site.
My guess is there was an aircraft that crashed off airport property but in the immediate vicinity. Or else there was a large fuel fire nearby that the ARFF truck could help with by spraying the foam.
I'm assuming it's because an aircraft crash may happen off Airport, and the crews are specifically trained in aircraft rescue/fire fighting.
If one went down on approach, it would ve beneficial for airport fire crews to attend along with local Appliances.
It's less exciting than that folks, it has to cover for emergency purposes at nearby fowey refinery..
@@grantsharkey783 *Fawley Refinery
Pain fully slow, hope a plane didn't crash
They are heavy and loaded with water. You are painfully slow.
you don't rase an apparatus of this scale at full speed through city streets
Terrible lighting on the beast.
well it's not made to be seen in traffic, it's made for airports; There a minimum of emergency lights is totally sufficient
Did they get lost? I am sure thats not the airport haha.
Those Firetrucks are built in the USA and called Oshkosh Striker, this trucker i follow hauls them quite regular --> ruclips.net/video/w_vNi1ojkO4/видео.html
No, it's Rosenbauer, literally says it right on the front, no need to spend all the money to import from american when we have a supplier here in the UK already.
Yep, those are build from Rosenbauer, its the Panther Series, you can get them as 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 Version, also not only at the Front you see Rosenbauer, but in the End at the backside you see at the Right Side also a big "R" Logo, which is Rosenbauer´s. As P7B mentioned, there is no need to import them if Rosenbauer build already very good Crash Tender, and its easyer to get Ascess for Maintenance because i honestly dont know if Oshkosh has any Workshops for Maintenance in Europe 🤔
@@Sheppart92 correctly some parts are manufactured by the American subsidiary and finishing production happens in Austria.
@@Neuzahnstein no they're bot made in USA and have no parts from there either
