The second song you listened to was originally written by Woozi (one of the members) for seventeen but didn't really fit their image since it was too happy, so he gave that song to BSS. Now some info! Seventeen stands for 13 members + 3 units (hip hop unit, performance unit and vocal unit, each one with a leader (SVT Leaders)) + 1 team = 17 If you liked their use of Autotune you should listen to Gam3 Bo1. This song is from the Hip Hop Unit and their use of Autotune tells a story, is really fun to listen. Their live performance is really good too.

(i dont think) there is not really a particular reason why some groups form sub-units besides the fact that it gives idols an opportunity to work on different concepts and broaden their horizons. especially with groups who have many people, sub-units are ways to highlight the vocals, rap, dance, and performance of certain members that otherwise get overlooked because of being in a big group or because their specialty (e.g. soft vocals) does not suit the group's concept (e.g. rock with heavy rap)

I've seen clips from Youngji with other KPOP idols. I definitely need to start watching them because I've seen a lot of funny clips from her series
