OK but like...what percent of the human race is canonically Jack's descendants? Because you only have to go back a few centuries before every person of descent from a continent (Europe, Asia, Australia etc.) is a shared ancestor of all the others. Once their descendants go to other continents like the settlement/colonization of half the world by Europe that kind of thins it out a little since their descendants are now mixed with those of other people but soon enough that's going to mean that there are few if any racially homogeneous groups. Groups like Orthodox Jews and the Amish with their high inbreeding coefficient are going to be forced by evolution to either accept converts, allow intermarriage or at least sperm donations, or die out. That means that soon, even those populations either stop existing or start decreasing in-group genetic homogeneity. Then you've got people from everywhere being the common ancestors of everyone meaning that the most recent common ancestor of all mankind gets moved forward in time closer to us. So in a few hundred years, even if Jack only has a few children this century he's the common ancestor of all mankind. But on the other hand if he keeps coming back to this century over and over again, setting up a new life each time, he ends up becoming the most recent common ancestor far sooner. So tl;dr in a few hundred years humanity is going to be entirely made up of Jack's direct descendants, or depending on how much time he's spent in the past he already is.
