Where was rhe place you showed. You rode a motorcycle and the road was windy over mountains at the end of the drive. There was a new little place like a rasta place the lady you spoke to was Ukranian? It was on the beach. You also saw the little place secluded because you drove down a path you saw.

You always find the excellent “cheap & cheerful” places when you head out. 🌻
(I so needed a Thailand beach tour today. 🥰 🙏🏼)
Thanks for bringing the sun as you do! ☀️😅✌🏼
Really enjoying your 'Thai Riviera' coastline trip. So many fabulous places to stop & enjoy. You're a very good ambassador for Thailand. Congrats.
Thx. Thailand itself makes that easy :)
What a great atmosphere in that area. Market was interesting burger was enticing that's for sure and rooms are adequate. Beautiful views along the beach. A real hidden gem. Thanks for the tour. Bushyboy Oz.
Love how you include maps. Love the pace and organization of info presented. And your music is perfect!👍🍀
I was going to stop by Sam Roi Yot on the way to Chumphon. I fell in love with it and stayed whole week there.
Another relaxing and fun video! Thanks again, stay safe!
Love this place (Hotel Dolphin Bay); they have a great selections of very good Belgian's beers!!
Noted ;)
We have stayed at Blue beach quite a few times, but prefered it with the previous owners as they included breakfast and had a nice restaurant in the evening, however still good value.
Sam Roi Yot is very conveniant place to go when you want to get out of Hua Hin for a short break.
My 1st time staying there and the (new) owners seem very nice. Perhaps they're still settling in somewhat. Yep SRY sure is a lovely chill getaway.
Wish you'd expand to 2hr videos! Or more frequent. Ultimate escapism content from a country I so love. Thanks as always dude. Stay safe and keep kicking.
Thx Kevin. Barely have time to film and edit one 20 min video per week. More and more vloggers use online video editors from India etc but I just do it the old fashioned way which takes time.
@@SideTripLife Indians need to eat too! I totally understand, it keeps you busy and focused too. Cheers.
We do like the longer videos. Total escapism.
After watching several of your videos, i am seriously thinking of choosing this area of Thailand to retire, instead of Phuket. Great videos. Thanks.😊
Thanks Nigel. Phuket has some very lovely places, especially North like Khao Lak. Hope to return there in future to do a similar series.
Travelling vicariously around Thailand through your videos, you are doing a great job. Maybe one day I will get there.
" constructed the burger" 🤣😂😅
That was some heavy lifting lol
As always another gem, planning the next trip and its looking good so far. looking forward to the next episode. thanks mate
Loving the Dolphin Bay series. Thanks STL.
Great series, thank you!
Thanks for coming along Mark. STL
Love this series, nice work. Look forward to where you may end up long term. Thanks!
Looks like a beautiful place to chill for a week or so, keep up the great work gem hunting, I haven't really explored that side of Thailand yet but like everything I see down there, cheers!
Cheers Joe
I can't wait to get back over there and do that trip on a motorbike from Patong to Hua Hin, then on to Pattaya to Samui on the ferry and Samui back to Patong. Great videos, I am hooked!
Perfect trip route right there, enjoy! STL
@@SideTripLife Forgot to add, congrats on the car! It is very clean.
You always do a great job in your video. You actually changed my life with your videos. It gave me hope I can live in places that are very affordable compared to the US and people are so kind 🙏. Long time subscriber
Fantastic! Thank you :)
Wonderful. Feels like I'm there. 😀👍+1
Nice, exactly what I aim for, thank you. STL
Just returned from Thailand , watching your video is making me want a return ticket ! LOL 555 Enjoy STL
Get back soon Karl. Cheers, STL
You clearly one of my fav Thailand RUclips people you dont pretend to know everything but have spent alot of time in the land of smiles and your hotels condos etc are in a great price. Thanks I first went to Thailand when there was no cell phones or FB or wi fi over 32 years ago it was better then.
Looks like a very nice place with lots of friendly locals, especially the lady with the very nice smile @ 15.06 of the video.
I'd imagine a solo traveler could get fairly lonely there, though.
Indeed. Very lovely locals, both Thais and foreigners. Also nice n quiet which suits STL just fine ;)
This has been a great trip over the series! Love the burger you put together at the end. Nice looking place, will definitely head down that way when next coming back to BKK.
Love the pace of your vids. And I know I like the channel when I join the bird in the greeting in the intro LOL. Thanks!
Thanks Dean!
Another fantastic video!
That beach market is fire!
Loved it being right on the beach. Was surprised how many ppl were there in June no less (weekdays got the place to yourself tho;)
I really enjoy your docus, they show a lot and inform well. A lot of bloggers mostly couples seem to enjoy long minutes of filming themselves. Not always entertaining. Your reports about Hua Hin and the ride along the coast made me completely change my plans for Thailand which I visit for many years now. Well done sir !
Wow, thank you!
Bedankt
WoW! Much appreciated! STL
I really like your videos about this coastline. Inspiring.
We love Sam Roi Yot, it is close enough to Hua Hin and yet still a great weekend getaway with so many different things to se and do near there……the beach night market is awesome as well! Great video STL😀
Thanks MauiHowey, I enjoy your vids too. You're fortunate (& smart) to live near Cha Am, close to this lovely stretch of coastline and quick trip to Bkk. STL
Side trip life is without a doubt the highlite of my day, thanks
You are one of my favourite bloggers. Watching your videos just cheers me up, the presentation of your videos are so soothing. Thank you for your videos. All the best.
Wow, thank you!
Aloha from the Big Island of Hawai'i. I've been following your channel for several months now, and just wanted to drop a note to say mahalo for your entertaining and informative vids. I really enjoy your chillaxed, low key style! I'm about to turn 62 and take early retirement (Social Security), and am planning an extended recon trip to Thailand to evaluate it as a possible retirement spot. Based on a bunch of reading and vids like your great ones, I'm really excited about crusing/exploring the coast south of Hua Hin, (with a planned stay at Fisherman's House!), particularly sam roi yot national park. Thanks alot, and keep on living (and videoing) your SideTrip Life!
very nice laid back beach....enjoy
Another great find by STL!!! Thank you and keep them coming😊
Great video, man!
Perfect= "Blue Beach Resort"...
Lol, of course DebraBLUE ;) Also, if I recall you're Texan? Well the Blue Beach Resort Thai owner is a huge Texas fan (as one can see;)
Endless beautiful coastline - Dolphin Bay Area was one of the first places on my Thai go to list 👌 - I very much like where you stayed - noted 👍 - glorious beach market and a real burger - Thanks my friend 😃👋🙏
For sure Ant, this whole coast too, as you know
An underrated part of Thailand
For sure
I love that area of Thailand. You have a great channel
Your videos are the best so relaxing
Always enjoy your content.
That was very interesting and informative. I will be coming to Bangkok again in November December and staying until March so I need ideas to go to an inexpensive places to enjoy outside of Bangkok. This will be my second trip. I love Thailand. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
Thanks Jo. Enjoy your next trip! STL
An area I will definitely check out.
Another good video. Thanks
This place is amazing!!
It's dead quiet during the week and still pretty chill on the weekends, my kinda spot.
Hua Hin so nice place and beautiful beach 🤗😉🫰❤️🏖🏝🌴🌊
Thank you for the fun and informative video. I stayed a few months in Hua Hin this past winter and loved it! I’m returning again soon for an extended stay. Your info will add perfectly to the scope of what’s available to see and enjoy. 👍🇨🇦
Glad it was helpful, have a great return trip!
Awesome video , nice chill places and fair inexpensive
Good stuff, thanks.
Thank you, I love and wait for your video's
Glad you like my vids (many say too long, too boring lol;)
Ordinarily I avoid long videos...but yours I always want more..they end too soon!
Thanks for the great tours and info!
Another great video. Thanks.
Thx TC
Thanks for another interesting, informative vid. I'm also from Vancouver and I used to live in Hua Hin, but never made it to this area. I'll have to check it out!
ATVs on the beach are very cool love it
I am 'dreaming' at this point, of retiring in Thailand. I've discovered your channel, and have to say thank you so much. Your videos really have given me an 'inside' look at so many beautiful places I could call home in Thailand. I have subscribed of course, and look forward to catching up on all of the videos you have created...again, Khob Khun Khrup! Much love
Thanks for that video cheers.🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍
Thanks for watching :)
wow nice place to visit and stay, outside the main tourist area thx
Stunning.....Thank you.
It is indeed, thanks
Went right back to the beginning of your content, have watched your entire library in the last month, love them ❤ Keep them coming, such a chill vibe 😊. I am based in the North East of England and Thailand is so inviting the way you portray it. Previous to watching your videos it didn't really appeal 😊
Thank you Sharon. The best bits of Thailand are the quieter chill places like this one (and more coming ahead;) STL
Digging your Videos more than ever. I'm trying to skip dinner tonight and I saw that burger. Dammit Boy
Amazing 🙏🏽
I was thinking the Philippines until watching your videos recently. Thailand seems a more pleasant place to go. Thanks for sharing, I just subscribed.
Absolutely loved this video! Thank you! My husband and I are going back to Thailand early next year, your videos give us suggestions and ideas that we hadn't even considered ❤ Keep them coming!
Nice, thanks. Have a great trip upcoming! STL
Great vid STL ... Your "new" 20 year old car purrs like a kitten ... You definitely have the "Cleanest" car windscreen in recorded history ... The Guinness Book of World Records will be in touch soon (-:
lol
Was there last year. Really beautiful place, theres an amazing cave temple and lots of cool hikes to do. The beaches were virtually deserted.
Really is such a beautiful area. Hiking and boating ahead
Cant wait. ❤
Man, you do it soooooo right
As usual beautiful, really enjoyed your vlog.. much love from India 🙏
Thank you! Hope to get to India in the future
@@SideTripLife Please come , i will guide you...
Hiya STL. Love your content. Enjoyable video. Great views. Always informative.
Thank you for the tour around. Chilled vibes at the beach market.
Great place to end with a lovely meal. It looked tasty. Good vibes.
Thanks Nicky! btw I noticed in your recent vid what looked like a softball pitch with backstop, is that a thing in the UK now? (hopefully N America catches on to 'football'/soccer this century;) Cheers, STL
@@SideTripLife Hiya. Yes. Softball. Have a great week.
Man i love your videos from Thailanda. Please keep doing. One day i will move to thai haha
yep love this area,, less crowded ,, beautiful scencery good accommodation, nice restaurants /bars etc perfect 👍🙂
Pretty special area alright. If I recall you rented a car and drove down this coast plus vlogged some too.
@@SideTripLife yep sure did
This looks amazing place I could retire here
Thank you these vlogs are brilliant we are going to do this trip in November
what you suggested
Thanks. Keep in mind Nov-Feb is high tide season and the seas will be churned up but other than that still beautiful
Every saturday, just heard u say that. Nevermind last question
I’m defo visiting , you’re a great salesman 👍
Not selling nuthin but glad you watch the vids which helps the channel, cheers
Another great video and really informative. On the beach, next to the night market, how do people reserve seating around there?
Thanks!
MUCH appreciated AB! Thanks! STL
@@SideTripLife watching your videos are pure joy. you almost take us there. keep it up!
Thanks for sharing.
I think that without a car, it would be difficult to reach this destination. Also i find the accommodation expensive compared to what it offers.
🙏
Almost perfect burger…. Try topping it with Russian or thousand island dressing….then it would be perfect…will have to try that place when I’m in that area…I always carry a small bottle of dressing with me just in case…
Anything over 20 mins is great for a smart TV. A phone not so much.
No dolphins when i was there
White resort was new
Micke 🇸🇪
Tack Micke
Loved this video. We will be there in a couple of weeks. What night is the market on
Saturday 5 pm onwards (weather depending)
Love you videos! Why did you decide to buy the car instead of continuing to ride scooters everywhere. I assume because of the unpredictable weather in Thailand?
Was going to buy a scooter but came across the car for same price and as it all checked out plus cool, dry and hella safer, giddyup.
Another cracker Mate 👍🏻
Cheers BC
I hate to do it STL, but please place your hands behind your back and cuff up. Unfortunately, mayo on a cheeseburger is an unpardonable offense-as is ketchup on a hot dog 😂
lol noted
you sound like chef john from food wishes haha
STL lives a damn good life!
On a budget but deffo grateful (& no complaints;)
How do you compare the sea and the sand to Khanom??
Being this far up the Gulf, of course the sand and water aren't on par with the South. However, has that wonderful chill factor which Khanom also has.
Funny, a gourmet burger around Toronto will run you over 20$ to start!
Yikes! Had one at El Goucho Steakhouse in Bangkok 750 Baht/$28 CAD (had to try, once;)
I try to not miss any of your Thailand videos
Great
Perhaps you know, how many of the hotels, especially in the 1200 baht range, allow small dogs?
Do you have a recommendation how to find pet friendly hotels
Thanks
That's a tough one Lee. Would be handy if they had a 'Pet ok' selection in the search. Will keep an eye out. STL
@@SideTripLife thank you
Great Spot Mate whats best time of year to go (weather etc)?
Thx Jim. Everyone seems to like Dec-Feb but that's also the time of the highest tides and roughest seas. Personally prefer Mar-July (ideally after Songkran and before Western summer hols).
I rent a modern 2 bedroom house on the edge of town in Prachuap for 7,000 baht a month ($205). It's about average price around here.
Glad to hear things haven't changed much since I made my 1st vid there: ruclips.net/video/Z7FE2_vqOcY/видео.html
@@SideTripLife Yeah it's very quiet here. I was thinking about moving closer to Hua Hin, maybe Cha-am.
What are the average daily temperatures this time of year.
Hoping you're going as far as Chumphon and Bang Krut. Snorkelling? Thanks
Watch this space
@@SideTripLife Will do....Thanks
I’d be making loud mating calls if I were stuck underground for 7 years!!! 🤣👍
STL not into selfies 😂 will we ever get to see who's behind the camera 🥸❓❓
Actually I have appeared in a few (albeit briefly) but my vids are about the places I visit and what's in front of the camera, not about me, also I'm not into self fame etc.
Your vids should be longer. At least 40 minutes to an hour IMO
No, 20 minutes is the sweet spot for viewers' attention. Any longer, viewers start to drop off which is bad for the channel because it sends a message to RUclips that viewers are not interested in the content.
Thanks Kev, Mark. The reality is this vid already has the kiss o death from YT with this summary noted on my member panel:
"Fewer viewers are choosing to watch this video. What’s going on? People are clicking less on this video’s title or thumbnail. Improving the title or thumbnail of this video might increase viewership"
So, a video gets assigned failure or success within the first few hours after posting. This one appears failed. Unless one adds a gob-smacked face etc, or butts, boobs etc, or 'WE DIDN'T EXPECT THIS..." blah blah on the title, good luck getting in the YT algorithm. Btw, 90% of vid views come not from subscribers, rather from YT's 'recommended' and 'up next' (if your vid made it 'in' that is). Ah well, I enjoyed making it. STL
@@SideTripLife "We didn't expect this" - yawn. Appreciate the integrity. Great series, this area looks the perfect base for tuned in expats.
20 mins is good, most of us don’t have time for crazy long vids.
STL keep doing what you’re doing. You have great content and please don’t go the way of the clickbait titles and stupid looking mouth open facial expressions. When I see those, I refuse to click on them and go on by to another video…
What's the best way to reach this place from Bangkok? I don't find any buses
I don't know if you can answer this question or not but I'm a big fan of hamburgers too. If I was to go out and buy the ground beef in a grocery store where I'm cooking it up to buy the bread and hamburger meat is it going to cost me more they're in Thailand than back home Vancouver?
Depends if you buy local or import (usually Aus). If you buy imported, of course it'll be spendier than back home (shipping overseas in refrigeration + import duty etc etc). But if you buy local, it can be cheaper than back home and increasingly pretty good (ie French/Thai local stock). Having said that, I eat a burger maybe once every six months so not a big factor. Bon appetit Faustino. STL
