This is a major insecurity I have been struggling with lately and trying to pray about and ask for healing, I've cared way too much on if others would be attracted to my physical appearance or not, instead of caring most about if they are attracted to my soul, which is a very distorted way to view myself. I'm glad that you shared this. I shouldn't be sad if someone thinks I'm physically unattractive, if really they are attracted to -me- on the inside. I'm glad you spoke on this subject. Thank you. :)

My husband is probably a 10 ive been told repeatedly with Tom Selleck good looks and I might be a 7/8 when I was young now I’m 63 and like Sam Elliot he got better looking with age I got worse ha I can feel people staring wondering how I got him and keep him. Well he chased me and since we’ve been together he has become a faithful devout Catholic walking beside me on our journey home. He loves me because God uses me to help keep him on the path to heaven as our most important job as married people after child raising is to help each other get to Heaven and since he desires Jesus he wants me So ladies work on your holiness above all else and God will send your mate if that’s His best will for you.

Also, wanted to note that people are not stagnant but are suppose to grow if we have a genuine desire for holiness. Thus sometimes two people are not attracted to each other today because they need to grow more to appreciate the virtues in the other.
If I'm not physically attracted to someone AT ALL, but I like that person's personality, that's a friendship. I don't see that developing into a romantic relationship. I've tried. Didn't work.
For a relationship to begin in most instances, there has to be some level of physical attraction. However, having a good emotional connection and complimenting personalities is what will make the relationship long-lasting. Some couples didn’t initially have a very strong physical attraction but that changed over time when there was an emotional bond developing. I think praying to find the right person who will love you completely is the way to go 🙏🏻😊

My wife and I have been married over 21 years. I totally get how your Love evolves and changes over the years. But I've came to dilemma on how to love my wife recently. 3 years ago my wife started working for the parish I used to go to. Her job ties up many evenings and weekends. The real downside to this is my family hasn't been to a Christmas Mass together in over 3 years. We haven't been to an Easter Mass together in over 3 years. Do to her job schedule. She wasn't able to be there for when my father passed away. Or able to make a funeral arrangements for my mother. I have discussed this with her several times. at one point I even said it's either our marriage or your job. She started preparing for a divorce. I pray and fast a lot and at times it seems to help. But my bride continue to pick her job almost every time. Feel Lost.

It can be tough as a young person, but if you can find a community of faithful people you click with that can really help. It also helps if you’re family is on the journey with you. And if none of those pertain to your situation, stay strong and build that personal relationship with the lord and just keep looking for fellow Christians to connect with. It feels really isolating to be a young Catholic, but in reality there are a lot of young faithful people you just have to find them!

I know it's cliché to say that personality is more important, but it is. Then again, she is Catholic, so there is that. Other than having darker hair, she's not really the type of woman I'm attracted to. The thing about her being Catholic, that's a big deal because there are not a lot of Catholics where I live. Attraction is not more than skin deep! Only beautiful women and have children! Look at the movies! The main characters always beautiful women, never mediocre.
The real lesson and tragedy here, and one of many reasons to abandon belief in god, is the fact that he intentionally created this enormous disparity in physical beauty among people for no good reason instead of making us all beautiful (And yes, it is logically possible to all be physically attractive at the same time. You're a twisted person if you think your beauty is dependent on someone else's ugliness). We have been placed in this unnecessary, awkward position where we have to either be deceiving/vague to ugly people who ask "Do I look beautiful?" or be painfully honest with them and inevitably lead them down a path of depression and self-hatred. It's a just another reason why its stupid to believe there's a god who actually cares about us.
It's looks and BRAINS! If a woman only has one, my Anaconda don't want none son. She needs to have a minimum of a BA/BS preferably from a University. She also needs to be Physically fit... The real lesson and tragedy here, and one of many reasons to abandon belief in god, is the fact that he intentionally created this enormous disparity in physical beauty among people for no good reason instead of making us all beautiful (And yes, it is logically possible to all be physically attractive at the same time. You're a twisted person if you think your beauty is dependent on someone else's ugliness).
We have been placed in this unnecessary, awkward position where we have to either be deceiving/vague to ugly people who ask "Do I look beautiful?" or be painfully honest with them and inevitably lead them down a path of depression and self-hatred.
It's a just another reason why its stupid to believe there's a god who actually cares about us.
It's looks and BRAINS! If a woman only has one, my Anaconda don't want none son. She needs to have a minimum of a BA/BS preferably from a University. She also needs to be Physically fit... I know Fat girls make the world go round...but not for me... And she must have Ambition and be Libertarian or Conservative....and a zest for life 😉
