I must advise you, I did it last year, and it can be a shock. September 17, 2021, I'm standing in my Airbnb in Merida, looking at my luggage, around my room, with the full realization that I didn't have a "home" anymore. Returning can be difficult, especially if you don't have a car, I spent almost $500 USD on a just lodging and a rental car in Atlanta recently being there only two days.
I did it! Sold home, car, belongings and donated/gave away EVERYTHING! Scanned all photos, diplomas, cards and letters from children. Minimalist. Left 1/5/2022, soft landing El Valle de Anton, Panama. Complete TEFL certificate and will be returning to Guadalajara to work. I also have temporary residency Visa. As much as I love El a Valle, I can’t wait for Mexico people, culture, food , beaches and margaritas!☀️❤️
Hola ,buenas tardes. We moved down here 4 years ago from Washington State. We love it here. Bought a home , love the people , fresh food , slow pace city the beaches ..just fabulous. Welcome and Enjoy this city.

Quite moving and heartwarming to see the park for children who are disabled, differently abled. I was pleased to see the number of people working at the Benito Juarez airport .who can be described as such. Yes. health is wealth. Happy Healthy 2022. Paz y amor. Jan. 23. 22.

So fun watching your video guys. And it's nice to know that you truly love La Paz. I'm myself new in this quiet and beautiful city as well, and I'm in the process of exploring further across the State of Baja California Sur. Hey guys, you need to explore the amazing beaches this place can offer. It's an experience worthy of been caught on tape. And while doing so I will accompany you both through your camera. You got a new subscriber and a new follower. So, keep it on with your positive vibe. Bienvenidos a La Paz!
La Paz was under Spanish colonial rule as part of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, before Bolivia gained independence. Since its founding, the city was the site of numerous revolts. ... The city is renowned for its unique markets, particularly the Witches' Market, and for its vibrant nightlife.
Looks spectacular. We may visit but I’m afraid the heat would be too much for us. We are curious about cost of living compared to say Morelia, Queretaro…. Thx and enjoy !
We'll be doing a cost of living here and a comprehensive comparison is also coming....but for the record La Paz was cheaper than I expected about the same cost as Guadalajara....anout a third more expensive than Morelia.
My goals are on the back burner for the moment. Not sure for how long, as I was supposed to be back in Guadalajara in October. My grown son needs my help with his food truck. I guess it's hard to find good help. He's my son...I gotta stay for him.
Looking good, you two! I don't know anything about video production but this video seemed very well produced. Good tight editing and upbeat with good music. Was that shot before you got covid in Cabo San Lucas?
I love La Paz! :My big goal this year is to finally visit my family in Israel after nearly 4 years absence. Also want to go back to the Amazon, in Ecuador this time. My big local goal is to get the People out to VOTE here in Philly area. Last midterm we turned Delaware County (just outside Philly) Democratic for the first time since the Civil War. The struggle goes on! My spiritual goal is to not hate the haters so damn much.
This was a great video. We were thinking about living there after we retire for a few years. To bad you didn't get a chance to meet up with Miles & Coffee. She's a wonderful person and content creator. Could you tell us how you got to La Paz from the airport. What shuttle bus did you take and how was the ride?
A few ppl have dropped her channel so we’ll definitely check it out. We took the Eco Baja Tours shuttle van, which was a little cramped. We took Aguila charter bus in the opposite direction, which was a little more comfortable.
OK now--how long do you actually spend in one location? Seems like you're in one place and a few days later you're completely across the country! I can't keep up--LOL! Do you ever get tired of moving so much? As for goals, we've been spending our winters in MX for years (Queretaro) but I'm "this" close to retiring and so my focus is changing by the year. Priority 1 is making health and being physically able to stay active is #1 goal. From there, I'm planning on "experiences" as much as I can, as often as I can.
I like your goals to stay active and fit. No, we never tire of traveling. God grant us the means we will be hitting some popular retirement destinations in and outside if MX soon...Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Panama....We trully love living on the go.
Health is wealth. I hope you are quickly bouncing back from the poverty of Covid! If I hadn't seen your live, I wouldn't have known you were already beginning to feel it when you were shooting this.
Oaxaca....if you like to be active I feel that Oaxaca has more to offer, see, do and explore from the city to the shores of Oaxaca....in my opinion La Paz is a slower paced town.

Enjoying retired life traveling in search of a great destination to live, preferably México! Love your videos and would happily support videos containing your recommendations for the best locations to live after retirement! What’s your thoughts on living in La Paz for retirement? Thank you
We think its a great choice. Inexpensive for a coastal town, a relaxed pace and plenty to do. There is a retiree's channel @Miles and Coffee the videos aren't high-tech but she gives a very good feel for the area. A Mexico retirement series sounds good to us. We'll start looking ay different options.
Our goals are to get my wife's citizenship and my residency for Mexico along with building a small house on the property we bought south of La Paz last year.
too small of a town for me... here's a crazy story for you... 20I8 I was buying beer at an Oxxo en la Paz... as I was walking out a lady in a family of tourist screamed when she looked at a newspaper... four to five MS13 gangsters were hanging from a bridge... apparently someone hired mercenaries to send a message to people that might hurt the only business in baja sur, tourist and ex-pats.. so yeah your safe... lol all I heard from locals was how safe you were... people seem to be sensitive about the issue..
@@TheYarbros i figured the place was developed for tourists... the idea is that you land in la Paz, rent a car and drive in a circle around the sea of Cortez and to the pacific and then cut through the desert... oh and when you walk in the beach drag your feet to scare off Manta Rays or else you can step on one and get stabbed in your ankle.. there are youtube videos on how to do it... you can walk for miles in the sea of Cortez and the water only reaches your chest... just don't step on a manta ray.. a local grandma told me she seen grown men cry
La Paz is a place I want to visit. It seems so peaceful. I started a RUclips channel and my goal is to reach 1000 engaged subscribers by the end of 2024.✨

too small of a town for me... here's a crazy story for you... 20I8 I was buying beer at an
Oxxo en la Paz... as I was walking out a lady in a family of tourist screamed when she looked at a newspaper... four to five MS13 gangsters were hanging from a bridge... apparently someone hired mercenaries to send a message to people that might hurt the only business in baja sur, tourist and ex-pats.. so yeah your safe... lol all I heard from locals was how safe you were... people seem to be sensitive about the issue..
Wow that is crazy but there is so much money to protect in BCS
@@TheYarbros i figured the place was developed for tourists... the idea is that you land in la Paz, rent a car and drive in a circle around the sea of Cortez and to the pacific and then cut through the desert... oh and when you walk in the beach drag your feet to scare off Manta Rays or else you can step on one and get stabbed in your ankle.. there are youtube videos on how to do it... you can walk for miles in the sea of Cortez and the water only reaches your chest... just don't step on a manta ray.. a local grandma told me she seen grown men cry

My goal is to postpone international travel due to crazy mandates until the 15 days to slow the spread.
Residency in Mexico
Definitely an option to look into.
La Paz is a place I want to visit. It seems so peaceful. I started a RUclips channel and my goal is to reach 1000 engaged subscribers by the end of 2024.✨

I visited La Paz and Cabo San Lucas 30 years ago. La Paz is still nice. The other one looks like the favelas.
