This has to be the saddest song ever. This song had very real meaning for Skeeter because she lost her best friend and singing partner Betty Jack Davis in a car accident. This song was very heartfelt for her and that's why it is so haunting...because it's based a true life experience.

My mother used to play this song when I was younger. This week, I watched 2 different genre of movies, one set in the 1940's whose title I can't recall and another called " In the Shadow of the Moon." This song played in both movies. I do not believe in coincidence but I am a Christian and believe God speaks to us in multiple ways. So I am left contemplating what God is saying to me in this random song, "It's the end of the world." And yes, I truly believe we could be there now. If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, please read the Gospels, reach out to Christians who would love to share the news of the greatest love anyone has had for another, of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross so the you and I could find redemption and salvation from sin through him.
