Hey guys... it's me... (not Gary, but Bryce). A few people asked me to put this up and I finally did. Really makes my heart full to see how much you guys love the track and the series (and Gary of course)!! There's a bit of a backstory to how the songs happened for this and the way I produced them, but I'll only bother with telling that if anyone is interested. But for now - thanks so much for making my day.... it was an absolute pleasure being song producer on Daybreak!!* * YES!!!! Season 2, please!!!! ;)
I would love to hear how you guys select the music for the show...80s music is always a hit. I hope Netflix or someone else green light season 2 and on.
Hi Bryce! I was wondering if you also happened to work on the production for the Japanese version of I Want It That Way? And if so, would you ever plan on releasing it with the music director's permission?
That's because, more often than not, good shows don't perform well enough for business executives and administrators, even though they have never even seen a single episode of the shows they cancel!! It's sad, but it's still true nonetheless.
I think this was my favorite scene in the whole show. All of the emotions, the excellent song choice, it's all just perfect. Looking back at it all, this was also potentially the most important plot point as well. (Spoilers obv) Turbo setting him up was the domino that really set everything in motion. Because of that, Baron Triumph was released, and all that followed. One amazing moment in an amazing series.
I loved this show and this scene still brings a smile to my face. I just love how a group that in most other shows would be a one off note, slowly became this tragic group of misfist who just wanted to fit in but never could
Verse 1] I know just how to whisper And I know just how to cry I know just where to find the answers And I know just how to lie I know just how to fake it And I know just how to scheme I know just when to face the truth And then I know just when to dream [Verse 2] And I know just where to touch you And I know just what to prove I know when to pull you closer And I know when to let you loose And I know the night is fading And I know the time's gonna fly And I'm never gonna tell you everything I gotta tell you But I know I gotta give it a try [Verse 3] And I know the roads to riches And I know the ways to fame I know all the rules and then I know how to break 'em And I always know the name of the game But I don't know how to leave you And I'll never let you fall And I don't know how you do it Making love out of nothing at all [Chorus] (Making love) Out of nothing at all (Making love) Out of nothing at all Out of nothing at all (Making love) Out of nothing at all (Making love) Out of nothing at all (Making love) Out of nothing at all [Interlude] [Verse 5] I can make the runner stumble I can make the final block And I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle I can make all the stadiums rock I can make tonight forever Or I can make it disappear by the dawn And I can make you every promise that has ever been made And I can make all your demons be gone [Verse 6] But I don’t know how to leave you, and I’ll never let you fall, and I don’t know how you do it. [Chorus] Making love Out of nothing at all Out of nothing at all Out of nothing at all
I looked for this song with your voice for so long! I could never find one that was isolated from the spoken lines during the scene. You have made my year!
I'm watching it for a second time now since the show came out and this scene is so freaking good I'm so glad I could find a full version it's so freaking awesome!!! Thank you
Bravo Bryce Jacobs - I've executive produced a lot of great art that I was fortunate to be part of, in retrospect, and IMHO this is just an amazing overall job. Choice of song, timing, character arc, impact on the story, vulnerability....Incredible. And the rest of the sound track is SO SO good and almost every song hits the above goals in the show. Smashing Pumpkins lol...well done.
Just saw the scene one day ago and was looking for this. @Bryce, you rock man! Really, loved the vibe, the voice, the emotion. 10/10 to a well-lived apocalipse.
I love your use of vibrato in this. A lot of em were subtle or came in out of nowhere. Honest to god made it unique and still paid homage to the 80s sound
Really nice take on this classic song. I love the little bit stronger guitar, the raw sound that is not perfect but make it perfect in its own way. It fit perfectly with the scene. I love this take as much as the original. Perfection.
Thank you so much dude! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! When I heard this in daybreak, I just had to find the song, but it was never released. Thank you so much man! I really really appreaciate it. Thank you for your music!
C'est grâce à cette série tv DAYBREAK que j'ai découvert cette superbe ballade d'AIR SUPPPLAY reprise par Bonnie TYLER ; j'ai juste plus de 25 ans de retard sur ma culture musicale rock mais cest pas grave
Gary was definitely my favorite in this show then the talent show happened and i loved it more then was soooooo pissed whwn he still lost after this banger lol was the one good performance and it was god tear
Such a great show, and a wonderful scene. Netflix cut the show off before it had a chance to fully shine. I prefer it over 90% of their other originals.
Its just something about the way that guitar cuts in. It's almost visceral. I might be looking too much into it, but almost like it's warning not to get too comfortable and feel good with the peeformance.
RIP gary. he knew he was a dead man walking but kept singing his heart out ❤
You have the fucking rigth
Fr😭☹️😞
This was one of my favorite scenes.
Mine too
Why GARRRRYYYY 🥲 I felt that 😐😒

Hi Bryce! I was wondering if you also happened to work on the production for the Japanese version of I Want It That Way? And if so, would you ever plan on releasing it with the music director's permission?
Would love to hear about it, the songs in this series hit just right
thank you Bryce!!! Love u all the way from Malaysia 💞
This is unironically better than the original song
Netflix really messed up. If they actually marketed this show it would have been the hit it should have been. It was a breath of fresh air
You’re right it’s nothing short of criminal this awesome series never got a second season!
It’s the only show I saw with such an intense marketing campaign, I still have fond memories of this when I was back in middle school.
Hearing the full version of this song truely has made my day
This show is amazing I'm still upset we never got a season 2
The show was great until the last episode that threw all to the thrash (atleast for me and many people)
That's because, more often than not, good shows don't perform well enough for business executives and administrators, even though they have never even seen a single episode of the shows they cancel!! It's sad, but it's still true nonetheless.
This cover had so much emotion behind it
I think this was my favorite scene in the whole show. All of the emotions, the excellent song choice, it's all just perfect.

Agree, I was surprised it was cut by Netflix and not pick up by another streaming services. I love the throw back soundtrack music.
Verse 1]
I know just how to whisper
And I know just how to cry
I know just where to find the answers
And I know just how to lie
I know just how to fake it
And I know just how to scheme
I know just when to face the truth
And then I know just when to dream
[Verse 2]
And I know just where to touch you
And I know just what to prove
I know when to pull you closer
And I know when to let you loose
And I know the night is fading
And I know the time's gonna fly
And I'm never gonna tell you everything I gotta tell you
But I know I gotta give it a try
[Verse 3]
And I know the roads to riches
And I know the ways to fame
I know all the rules and then I know how to break 'em
And I always know the name of the game
But I don't know how to leave you
And I'll never let you fall
And I don't know how you do it
Making love out of nothing at all
[Chorus]
(Making love) Out of nothing at all
(Making love) Out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all
(Making love) Out of nothing at all
(Making love) Out of nothing at all
(Making love) Out of nothing at all
[Interlude]
[Verse 5]
I can make the runner stumble
I can make the final block
And I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle
I can make all the stadiums rock
I can make tonight forever
Or I can make it disappear by the dawn
And I can make you every promise that has ever been made
And I can make all your demons be gone
[Verse 6]
But I don’t know how to leave you, and I’ll never let you fall, and I don’t know how you do it.
[Chorus]
Making love Out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all
nice

AHHHH MY HAMMY!
RIP Gary can’t tear your hammy in Heaven o7
favorite scene in the show! need another season!
I rarely like covers more than the original but this is so much better and I have listened to it so many times it is perfect.
I looked for this song with your voice for so long! I could never find one that was isolated from the spoken lines during the scene. You have made my year!
If we don't get another season, where are all going to hell and see this angel but never. Also, play this at my funeral
We need a season 2.
Amen!!
It was such a fun show to work on!!!
Fr though

Totally underrated show wish it got a second season
That is a great show
Damn man, wonderful You uploaded whole version of this, I always missed something in the cut shown in daybreak but now I feel full filled

Just checked randomly and I’m so happy to finally see this cover uploaded in its entirety!!
For me unforgettable and the best scene of the whole series. I'm still sorry there won't be a second series.
This is the best episode of the season and there was no reason to produce and perform this as hard as they did. Omg it's so good
i wish this was on spotify
Same 😭
I love your use of vibrato in this. A lot of em were subtle or came in out of nowhere. Honest to god made it unique and still paid homage to the 80s sound
Finally the full song❤❤
Finally a full version! Such an underrated show
R.I.P to poor Gary bro😂good song
He lives on in song! 😃

Really nice take on this classic song. I love the little bit stronger guitar, the raw sound that is not perfect but make it perfect in its own way. It fit perfectly with the scene. I love this take as much as the original. Perfection.

I love this song on the Gary death is sad ❤️
Could this mean a second season, Bryce? 😮
I need more
Such a great show, and a wonderful scene. Netflix cut the show off before it had a chance to fully shine. I prefer it over 90% of their other originals.
0:55 to 1:32 🔥🔥
why is this so good :D
can we buy a HQ mp3/flac of this anywhere?
OK but when Gary sang this part 1:35
Then my job here is done 😂!!
Sucks no season 2 are they making one?
@@My1r0gamz It certainly does! It was a victim of the pandemic unfortunately!
Rest in peace larry, garry and terry
Is there not a Spotify version of this?
Muito bom 👏🏻
Oh Gary………
hate this show didn't get renewed
Ok, yeah it's sad. But what's really more important; Gary's life, or Turbo getting that win?
I really liked this series, it's a shame they made that end, I just ended hating Sam too much
Straight up took a great song, and made it better
I know im late, but did Mickey Dolan ( Gary ) actually sing the song himself? Or eas it lyp synced?
Lip sync, actually sung by Drew Tablak.
Poor Gary 😭
Its just something about the way that guitar cuts in. It's almost visceral. I might be looking too much into it, but almost like it's warning not to get too comfortable and feel good with the peeformance.
Эх
finally after so long i found it 🥲
