  • Today I'm bringing you a video full of home projects that ive been wanting to get done for a while now and i decided to film it vlog style for y'all 💕
I just found out that this trailer is a Heritage 1981 :)
I did three coats of paint on the doors in my room and caulked my entire bedroom where there was a huge gap between the ceiling and the trim. I also scrubbed the skirting on our trailer. I feel super accomplished and even though I look a hot mess I'm glad I shared this video with you because hopefully it motivates you to get some household projects done as well ☺
Paint is from Wal-Mart ( Color place brand) runs from $17 - $26 depending on paint finish you choose ☺
Caulk is from dollar general for $1.50-$2.00

You are a rockstar! You also remind me a lot of myself & my hubby. We’ve been married for over 31 years & we have always been the same way about projects. We don’t mind putting in the work to make something how we want it to be. Of course you can save a ton of money by doing your own projects too. Keep up the good work!

Use Kilz before painting the doors , then you would not need so many coats.

Great Job! 1 tip for you, I use the same caulk from DG for my trailer as well. FYI after time it does yellow a bit so once its totally dry you might consider painting over it...

I love your energy. We were given an 8 year old trailer for free and we’re living in it while we save for some land and I need to fix it up some ( but hey, it was free ) paint is such a great way to change it up on the cheap. We’re doing a plexiglass backsplash and painting all the fixtures as well. We’re making concrete countertops and doing it all ourselves, while putting in gardens and solar panels ( which my husband also made). Y’all are adorable and I like your energy. I wish y’all an abundant life and wish you well on your life’s journey. Namaste 🙏🏼

Well done! If you “install” your knobs (works for doors, cabinets, drawer pulls, everything lol) on an upside down cardboard box, they’re soooo much easier to paint. :)

Great job! I live in a single wide that is about 40ish years old and maintenance has been neglected quite a bit. Just replaced the guts of the electrical panel (do that every 20 yrs folks) and have been painting my behind off in nearly every room to update the look of it all. Replacing subfloor is next because it does wear out over time... Great job on the caulking, that's a cool tip I hadn't thought of yet! And despite the paint on you and "sweating" you still look beautiful!

I live in a single wide as well and doors are expensivs especially when there are so many we have 9 doors and were planning buying new but i decided to try and paint them and it looks just like they are new. Especially if you add some trim to spruce them up definitely alot cheaper than paying $30 per door. Weve been working on updating our home as well.

I live in a mobile home too and had never thought to paint the doors. I guess I just assumed the paint wouldn't stick because of the material of the doors. I live in an old 1991 mobile home. I bought it used, it had the original wall paper with lovely purple irises on everything! YUCK!!! It even had glass insets with irises on the cabinet doors in the kitchen. I didn't have any money to replace them so I Kilzed them and painted over them. You can't really notice the flowers unless you get close and look for it. Also, in my home there were mirrors EVERYWHERE! At first I was worried that they were glued to the wall and that it would mess the walls up if I took them down. One day I got really brave and took the molding off on one side and realized they were only held up by the molding. Don't know if they are all that way but just a tip for anyone who needs it. I have done lots of work on this home and have more to do but I am SO THANKFUL for my home.

I have a mobile home too and it is about to go through a huge remodel. New flooring, furniture, paint, appliances, etc.
Just a quick tip....when painting a mobile home Killz (I think that is how you spell it) is your best friend. 1 coat and you wont need as many coats of paint. We painted our wallpapered walls about 7 years ago and it still looks good and we used 1 coat of killz and 1 coat of paint. Saves money too.
      Your house looks great.

Interesting! 1st off, I'm not trying to be mean. That green stuff is an algae. You're right for hitting it with that killer but a cheaper way is to spray it down with 5-6 parts water & 1 part bleach. Follow it up with a pressure washing. TSP is a great deglazer; works great on panelling. BTW, you've bitten off a lot lady!

You & perhaps your viewers are too young to know who actress Tuesday Weld is, but you look remarkably like her as a young actress. Please, if never seen a picture, Google Tuesday Weld to see what I mean. She turned 76 yrs. old in August, so again, of course I do mean when she was young like you are now.

The vertical wall strips trailer companies put between panels can be removed, and filled with caulk. In our mobile home we did this, put sizing on the wall and wallpapered. It was a beautiful nursery with the wallpaper
