    I can confirm this is true. I lived in Brazil for a year and most Brazilians themselves dont even know of the existence of "brazilian weaves".

    • @Juuxr
      @Juuxr 7 лет назад +4

      Yes, I'm Brazilian and I discovered this on the internet. My reaction was something like "???" The most I've heard of this, here in Brazil, is that some poorer girls sell their hair to beauty salons for about 200 reais (or $ 50) depending on the size and whether it is virgin or not.
      Well, my opinion is, to who is interested in real Brazilian hair, look on facebook (for example) for brazilian women who want to sell their hair, or by someone who is here in Brazil that can do this intervention, and buy directly from the source

    Hi, I am a hair collector and hair manufacturer in Indonesia. You are right there are no virgin remy hair or very hard to get unprocessed virgin remy hair. Many people lie that the hair was collected from Indian temple and it was Indian braided hair. It may be true but very rare and very very very expensive.
    Are you sure your hair is unprocessed remy hair? How do you test unprocessed remy hair?
    1. can you feel cuticles? spray water in to hair wait 5 min. pick up hair strand and sliding up and down with your finger, do you feel different? if no then this is no-remy it is processed hair (cut cuticle hair with acid bath). even synthetic mixed.
    2. put your weft into very hot water and shake right and left in 2-3 min. if texture changed? if yes, it is processed hair.
    3. put your weft into warm water with shampoo, shake your left and right around 2-3 mins ... tanggled ? this is not remy hair.
    Good luck ..

    I could definitely believe this. My coworker purchased hair from the same site and once she put it in it was gorgeous. She went on vacation two days later and after a week out, on her return it was out. I asked her what happened and she said all she did was dipped her head back in the pool water while swimming and when she got out of the pool it was dread lock city. No comb, no brush and no chainsaw could hack its way through after her 5min dip. Scary I say

    I was born and raised in Brazil but my Mom is American so I live here and there. I go about everywhere in Brazil and I never, ever, ever saw anyone selling their hair for Chinese or out of the country hair companies. I was born with natural indian Remy straight thick hair and when I was younger I sold my hair 3 times for a reasonable amount at that time but people in Brazil who buys hair are usually medium class or rich, or even normal working girls if you're whiling to sale it. A lot of people in my country prefer to buy their own hair to make extension pieces from the natural seller and some people even sew the wefted hair at home with a sewing machine. Also some salons offer you some discount or cash if you want to sale some of your hair if you're going to cut it anyway. Also some hair products small companies goes to poor cities and villages where young poor children and adults are willing to sale their hair, or to avoid getting lice. Brazilian women are very self conscious about their look specially their hair and in general women with different types of Brazilian hair like curly, wavy, whatever will not sale their hair like that. If anything, we spend more money to care for our hair than to sale it for a few dollars. I would sale my hair again because it grows really, really fast and I always like to change from long to medium, to short length but now that I'm older I have a lot of grey hair that I don't think I could sale it anymore. I haven't used any chemicals or dyed my hair in over 6 years and all my now 27 inches long hair is completely virgin. If anyone interested that lives in RI I am willing to sale it if you like it for a reasonable price. You can come to me or we can go to a salon and have my own hair cut right from my head in front of you so you know what you buying. Once again, I didn't comment to sale my hair but if you're interested we can work something out. I want a shorter hair for the Summer anyway. So, on that note my point is; I don't think that the so labeled " virgin Brazilian hair" from an overseas company other than small Brazilian hair salons or small extensions company in Brazil are selling authentic Brazilian hair, or Indian, or Malaysian for that matter. Brazilian famous singer's, models, actors, etc..... are already buying hair from ordinary people willing to sale so they can hand pick what they want that I don't think there is anyone left with good quality hair for all these Asian companies to be buying it from, unless they're digging up dead peoples hair I don't see how that could happen. Thank you!

      Honestly you get what you pay for,when you need some very higher quality hairs,the price can't be down,because all we know this is the real raw unprocessed virgin hair from the real donors,if you want the hair to be the same length meanwhile when you need it to be virgin,the cost would be a lot higher.You can email us for some higher grade hairs at info@westkissrawhair.com

      If you get 100% RAW Indian hair and not just from AliExpress then it's real and last way longer . I guess I'll reuse mine lol but I always heard Brazilian and Malaysian hair is not really real hair bc it's like what Brazilian do you know that shaves their hair and gives it to Chinese or Indians to make ? I actually didn't know Indians also sometimes make like the processed hair bc i know they shave their hair and clean it without process and sell it . I know a lady personally who gets it , but I never knew Indians also made process hair, you just have to research lol . I know from experience of hairs that is raw and then the hair claims to be 100% real unprocessed 😭 then they also say no Indian raw 100% hair bundle is going to look the same because of that reason , they clean the hair but not in a proccesed type of way , I've watched videos , asked many pros and close people who get the hair from India themselves and also I'm learning about it lol, but the videos they were just saying

    • @blasianprincess8763
      @blasianprincess8763 8 лет назад

      +Najayla Thomason you can't actually cleanse hair without some sort of chemical. even natuark fruits that's some Indians use have chemical properties that result in a change of the hair in some way. js

  • @PookieAkATiana
    @PookieAkATiana 7 лет назад +42

    To be honest who cares when you're gonna cut the hair out in a couple months anyway. All hair is chemically progressed. All hair is dead. If you find a good vendor on aliexpress and the hair feels like good quality, wear it! It's good to educate yourself about these things, but you're most likely gonna buy the shit anyway.

    Good video!! Ours hairs is exactly like yours... because we are Afro-brazilian. Here in Rio I don´t see girls with straight hair shaving and selling and never heard about this industry here (Brazil) like we heard about India, for example!
    The difference between us is that you afro-americans women have much more confident about hair (natural or not) than us. Here we are building this view. Only in the last 5 years the big companies started doing products for all kinds of brazilian woman's hair (type 3 and 4).
    I wish this "brazilian" hair was, at least, cheap here! It doesn't! :)

  • @BluKittenExtensions
    @BluKittenExtensions 8 лет назад +12

    Hair extensions should never EVER be bleached unless it it true virgin hair. I don't care what the package says, it's never a good idea unless you want a dry, frizzy, tangled and matted mess. The dyes used to color extensions do not have to be FDA approved because they are not directly applied to a human head. They are usually much, much, stronger than hair color you would use on your own hair and can turn all sorts of interesting colors if lightener is applied, not to mention it can destroy the hair. You're better off buying blonde (20, 22, 24, 27, 613, or 60) hair and coloring it darker using 10 volume peroxide. You shouldn't need anything stronger than that. Just be sure to wash the extensions well beforehand to remove any silicone applied by the manufacturer, and let them dry completely before coloring.

    I been doing hair for more than 25 years and yes the hair has changed from the past 15 years becuz of high demand. we found out at a hair show we went to 18 years ago that they were adding goat hair and plastic fibers which is y they tell u not to use more than 400° Heat cuz it will melt. we used to buy the hair on thr late 90's early early 2000's and could keep it for 10 years no problem before it started even shedding off the weft. now u can't even comb it out once u get it on ur head without half the hair coming off the track or melting once the heat or color hit it. Either grow your own or go to the country of origin and cut it off a chicks head lolol😏, other than that you will NEVER get real hair anymore, sorry y'all😭😥😫

    That's why yu should buy silicon mix in order to replace the silicon that has been stripped off the hair. May not be ideal but when your hair does become a tangled dried mess ot's because of that reason. She just replace it every few weeks to ensure it looks like how you first bought it. ''Cellophanes'' were really popular in the 80's. They are great because you can put all kinds of great colors in your hair _without_ ruining it at all. ''Sebastian'' is the company that makes them. You have to get it done at a salon, and they usually last about 12 weeks. For those who are wondering. :)

    thank you for educating us. can you also speak on hair grades? my seller said if the hair is grade 9a or something it means it's all from one donor .. but I know they're just here to make a coin. but on truth when I did purchase I had less of those different length strands you showed.

    • @XiulanArisu
      @XiulanArisu 8 лет назад +1

      Jasmine Lee The grading system is false because there is no regulation on hair by a neutral federation to grade it. When grading first started, grade A was believed to be the best, but as you can see, sellers are now up to 9A and it will continue to go up as they attempt to outdo their competition. Anyone who wants real virgin hair should only purchase Indian Temple hair from a reputable company, yes they are out there but you will pay a pretty penny. You will not find it on 3rd party websites or your BSS. I hope this helps.

    Another common problem is that sellers are sending hair our that has visible nits in the hair. How could they miss that?.. and why aren't they cleaning the hair up before they send it out. I have had this problem twice. Today I received hair from Preferred Hair, sold on Amazon. I was done when I saw that mess.

    Its called 'root in turn' when the hair is sewn against its natural grain, with the cuticles not at the root. Years ago, you could tell when buying weave, if it matted easily, or was too rough. They have indeed gotten smarter.
    I wonder how you got those pictures, it looks like you were the with a cam on your hat. This is a great video!
    I sometime spend for remy quality, but being from ancient days, we washed weave, set with rollers and it came out just as silky as it does today. We would put relaxers, and perms etc...it was more work, but it was what it was. So for anyone buying cheap hair, a wash and set never hurt, wrap it good at night, blow dry every few days lol!!!
    Thanks for this video

    your talking about hair from china, if you want real raw virgin hair you need to go to the country of origin. i.e. if you want Brazilian hair you would need to get hair direct from Brazil. Thailand you will only get hair from the surrounding area you can't get Peruvian hair from Thailand or china. real Peruvian hair will only come from Peru. the hair sold in china is Chinese hair. all hair on aliexpress is fake Chinese processed hair

    I don't get why it matters that it was cut from multiple heads. And silicon shouldn't bother anyone, without realizing it we use silicon shampoo and conditioner. The real problem with weave is that there's an epidemic of women being killed or shaved bald on the streets because hair is in such a high demand. They also take the hair of the dead, and trust me you don't want to wear dead people hair! It's sad that someone else's hair could be in such high demand. I understand women with alopecia, or some other hair condition, I even understand someone simply wanting to have fuller hair. What bothers me are women that can grow a full head of beautiful hair if they wanted to but are to lazy to grow their own so they become dependent on the weave. I'm glad I grew my hair to how I want it. I'm never putting someone else's nasty ass hair in my head. To me it's gross if you don't need it. I just don't get people complaining about how bad the weave is when your own hair probably isn't in good condition itself

    I cannot stand Brazilian hair. A co-worker was selling virgin hair supposedly from the temple. I paid $250 for 2 bundles. I went to my stylist, sat in her chair. She installed one row which was the back, it started tangling while I was sitting still. I was so disgusted with that hair. I left it in for 1 week. Had to keep a brush with me @ all times. Looked as if a couple of cats got into a serious fight. I hated it so much that I bought 2 bundles of virgin Indian hair from my stylist and had my hair done over.

    Hello, I just subscribed to your channel because I want to know the truth about this weave that we wear. I keep hearing about worms being the hair and people losing their hair or even worse they are dying from infected hair. I am not a beautician Don know a lot about weave but..... I love wearing it until I started hearing all these horror stories. I am going to go natural because I am not sure what hair is good or which is bad. I sincerely thank you from the bottoof my heart fro exposing the truth. These people just want to make money at any cost, can you tell us what is considered to be good hair. Thanking you in advance

      Gwen Wages hello, thanks for subscribing! If I do buy human hair I get it from Jace beauty.com. I know that this hair last 2 years or more and it's great. And the meantime if I want to wear a weave I would we are a synthetic natural looking half wig or lace front wig. But right now I'm just wearing my own hair. It feels so good and so free. I also created hair growth oil. You can learn more about that by visiting the website below. It helps people who have ccca alopecia or any form of alopecia you may not be able to grow their hair.

    Is this just about Beauty Supply Store hair?
    I already knew the hair is in some way processed because twice I've purchased "Unprocessed" Brazilian Hair from my hair store and it dyes super super well, but you can see a couple of strands(5-10) that weren't dyed, are those the possible synthetic fibers that were put in there?
    And I've dyed the hair every color of the rainbow lol.

    • @annaharies4450
      @annaharies4450 9 лет назад +2

      It's all processed. As long as that hair can be dyed and premed just lets you know it's real hair. The only way you'll probably get virgin hair is to cut it off somebody's head you know yourself...

I know from experience of hairs that is raw and then the hair claims to be 100% real unprocessed 😭 then they also say no Indian raw 100% hair bundle is going to look the same because of that reason

    @TheSWDirectory 10 лет назад

    FYI when you order from these vendor sites whether its aliexpress or any other vendor. You have to be specific on what grade of virgin hair you want. The grades can be anywhere from 3A to 6A. Keep in mind the higher the grade the more it cost. And yes no human hair is unprocessed. Think about it. They have to disinfect the hair. That's someones used hair from their head that they had on their head from years.

      good deeds stay away from weaves! Our hair can literally grow as long with out. If you want a protective style try loose braids or crochet braids but soak the synthetic hair is apple cider vinegar and water to get the chemicals out or do Box braids with your own natural hair.

    Those hair are not just in the beauty supply stores ,their on the internet too. The truth is that most of these hair in stores or on the internet is not what there say they are . Maybe less than 1% are really good hair. What it cost to wear really good hair, go and ask Rihanna and Beyonce because if you're not sending their kind of money you are wearing ok hair or bad hair.

    Why people always in people business trying to tell them not what to wear. The korean making money off extensions so black people have a right to get some of that money for themselves. I'm glad some people trying to guide people about the good and bad hair because the Chinese are good with selling black people bad hair. So if you get smart about these bad hair then they can't trick you but for some people to tell other's to don't wear extensions need to stay in their lane. But thank you for teaching people the trick if the trade.
