I started yesterday and have already made one and a half 2 litre eco bricks out of the waste plastic from my food cupboards and home. I am now addicted!!! I am going to start collecting my mother's and Grandmothers waste plastic too and get Eco bricking even more!!
I am deploying this idea in Tunisia. I studied about melting and molding plastics and decided that the hazards ( heat, fumes, potential injuries) outweigh the benefits. Plus the cost of equipment, washing, shredding and heating.
With Eco-bricks, being a cold process, it is so simple. I have my first eco bricks in Singapore and am delighted at how captivating this exercise can be.
One can also stuff old cloth into the bottles instead of discarding them or sending them for incineration. When embedded with cement or mud + cement, they are stronger than brick walls. And the cost of making a house is about 40% to that of conventional brick or wooden homes.
We can also make benches, walls, water ponds, roadside curbs even pedestrian pavements. So many ideas.
You can using it for the first construction
We must make our own eco-bricks & use them to build our own homes!
I’ve just started eco bricking! My son has a ton of plastic from his medical supplies and I decided it was time I stoped throwing it all in the trash!
"Could be the reason the earth allowed us to be spawned from it in the first place. It wanted plastic for itself. Didn't know how to make it. It needed us." (George Carlin).
Can we make it in mineral water bottle?
Can I put electricity in the eco brick house or plastic house?
I need an alternative to burning my trash and I live near where they dump the trash so just letting them dump it doesn't give me peace ideas i don't have money to spend for any special equipment

gimmick idea
Sorry, you are wrong. Watch those videos where big houses in Africa and even Latin America are made using plastic bottles. A builder just encase empty plastic bottles into chicken wiremesh cages and use them for walls. The columns are concrete to hold up the roof.
This is not a gimmick idea.
just started doing this and plans to build something out of it. And I encourage everyone to do the same.
In my class we are making ecobricks and building planters and benches
im jessica from Sabah borneo. Ive made more than 100 bottles of eco bricks. And when relatives passed by they thought this can sell to earn money (palm face).. Im gonna do more so that i can build a mini playhouse sort of for my son.Thumbs up to those 'ECO BRICKERS'
Hi Jessica, Well done!! How many bricks did your 100 bottles make?
@@waryaaaahe1990 almost 30 bottles now since march
I was wondering how I can donate my bricks?

The Plastic Solution!
saan ko po pwedeng ibigay yung mga magagawa kong ecobricks
What about when the buildings get destroyed or knocked down?
William Volen Exactly more than likely end up in landfill
You can use them again and build something out of it.. I have a seen a video of eco bricks used in communities in the mountains which they use it in making concrete stairs and they used the old eco bricks from old structures that has it before and made another concrete stairs from it.
Pageant Nerds ...to be honest, they are just hardening plastic... which would make it harder to be reccyled.. and may end up being stuck in the earth longer than necesary.. than it be recycled
The idea is to generally try to use methods so that the eco bricks can be salvaged and reused after.
Just recycle into new buildings..doh..pretty obvious
well this is my school project :P
I donate a brick every day
