Sorry to hear about the attack but glad you went to the ER. I’m also glad that you stuck with asking your supervisor about the raise when he asked you about the storeroom and whatever the answer was that you gave him probably was another decision maker on the reason why the raise was off the floor. Keep your resume updated and don’t stop applying for jobs. You’re better and worthy of more money. Keep pushing. You got this. 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for this. The storeroom wasn’t the issue. It’s actually something another tech had to bring to my attention regarding raises🤷🏽♀️. I think the attack came because I was trying to do too much at once and I need to slow down🫣.

Im glad you asked for a raise. May be time to look around for something else. Why not go to Walgreens or another big company? With your experience, that may be something to consider? My sister started at a mom/pop pharmacy and now she’s been with Walgreens for about 20 years. No degree only taken (mandatory) classes over time to get certified. Please take care! 🤗
Thank you Irene. I think I was overwhelmed and doing to much at once. Yea this was the 3rd time sooo…🤷🏽♀️. I worked at CVS and their raises were horrible and the hours were crazy. I looked into the walgreens in my area and they’re the same too. My main goal is to get certified in other pharmacy related areas and go to school for surgical tech. Both will get me in the door of a hospital which is my ultimate goal🧡
Child pay it from the savings and then add it back to your savings when you get pay..avoid that late fee. Praying your strength cause God know I need the strength too.
I agree, best to avoid that late fee, even if that tanks the savings for a bit.

It is really easy to get comfortable with a job, especially when you’re a single mom (I know this personally). Sometimes we stay because it’s what works for the family schedule. Please give yourself grace and be kind to yourself, you deserve all things good as well as your children.

Thanks for the update. I’m sorry that the raise wasn’t offered to you. Most importantly, thank God it was only anxiety and not a heart attack. Though when you’re going through it the fear can be debilitating. Just pray for guidance and be patient for His response.

I had a similar event where my chest ended up being inflamed. I almost punched my doctor in the face for trying to see how inflamed my chest was. I still deal with it from time to time. Keep working on your resume and start testing the waters.

That’s one of the reason I left my pharmacy tech job they never want to give raises and when they do give you a raise be some damn cents!!!
Not sure if you’re in retail or hospital etc. The specialty pharmacies normally pay more than retail not sure if you are close to one, but they don’t like giving raises either, but they do pay a few more dollars. Enjoyed the video💕💕
Thank you Shan. I did CVS and raises were trash. Independent pharmacies usually pay a little more but raises are slim to none. My primary goal is to get more certifications in pharmacy and become a surgical tech. Depending on which one I decide to do, either one will put me in a hospital. This was my first attack and I think I was overwhelmed with trying to get too much done too soon. We have to slow down and know that some stuff can wait🧡

Hey girl, you can also try doing a balloon payment for your car. I think thats what its called. They basically just skip this months payment and add it to the end of the loan.

Medical careers are so cyclical. Sometimes the only way for more$$ is switching jobs. I stuck out same job for 24 years as the benefits were great. I watched pharmacists jump around jobs and become millionaires. I don't know what the new normal is out there for techs
and I believe this.. I'm in the medical field and I was so afraid of leaving a job that I stayed and did whatever, but now I'm like forget that.. I've gotta loo out for me and my family!..
The pharmacy world is a hit or miss these days. I’ve worked at CVS and they now have a metric system but won’t increase hours and pay raises are .25-.50 a year. Independent pharmacies usually don’t pay that much but I found one willing to pay more than chain retail. That’s why I’m looking into getting certified in other pharmacy related areas and surgical technician. Either one will get my foot into a hospital setting which is my primary goal.
