I used your AP World History ultimate review packet and I can confidently say that the packet taught me more about World History in a week than my actual class did for an entire year. Heimler's packets are a worthwhile investment. I ended up getting a 4 on my exam.
do you think if i studied his packets instead of my teachers notes i’d do well?

@@michellemabelle1329 If you think your teacher's notes are sufficient, I would use them in conjunction with the packet. Personally, I didn't use any of my teacher's notes or my textbook to study, only the review packet. His videos are very detailed and concise and if you do the entire packet you should be in good shape.
@@vritikasingh6035 Every day for around 2 weeks leading up to the exam I went through the review packet for 1-2 hours. I also took 1 full practice exam before taking the real thing so I would be familiar with the layout and timing of the exam.

THANK YOU HEIMLER YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much these videos help us! In my AP World History class, the teacher is tremendously behind in the curriculum, (like on unit 6 currently), so I've been self studying the units using my textbook and I just finished reviewing units 1, 2, 7, and I am halfway through unit 8. Your videos are helping me feel more confident in my abilities to answer MCQ and SAQs and everything else, including how and what to study. Keep up the great work! :D

As someone who has fallen into the trap of using too many websites and textbooks for review, your videos have been a lifesaver! Your APUSH videos seem even more useful than the AMSCO book!
I like doing the AMSCO notes and vocab then Himmler so I know what’s most important but AMSCO gives a little more information. IMO
my teacher tortured me and made us read 2 textbooks and the amsco one was not nearly as useful imo

What was different from it than just taking notes on all his videos?
@@Bread_Crumble the packet has notes that really forces you to only know what you need to know and the practice questions are really good. I doubted getting it for like an entire month but then got it and honestly it is the best source I have ever used to study for the exam.
Heimler, you have literally saved me on AP World History and AP U.S. History. My World History teacher did not teach us ANYTHING the whole year. I watched your videos and used the Ultimate Review Packet, and I got a 5! You're an amazing teacher and I know your U.S. History videos are going to help me get a 5 on that exam as well. Thanks Heimler! I’m an avid fan of your review packets. It’s really organized and accessible since it is all in one place, and I could easily study the important concepts of the class. I would say that the packet was a big factor in helping me get a 5 on my APUSH exam, since it covers all the content I need. The AP Gov packet is just as helpful too! I could only wish that you had review packets in other subjects other than history or government 😂

@@lilythompson7489 I actually didn’t use a lot of other resources besides this packet, but I do recommend looking at the rubric for the FRQs and learn what exactly you need to do in order to get as many points as possible.
@@lilythompson7489 I would also recommend to watch videos on or look at the textbook for concepts or eras that you are not very confident on, instead of looking at the stuff you already know

I wish you had a review pack for AP Art History😭 My exam’s in 3 weeks and I don’t know how to study (this video is so helpful btw thank you so much!)
same, I went to this revew conference and the teacher that was representing AP art history just said "fake it till you make it". She said that in the writing portion, if it's like a sculpture as long as you know what its made out of you'll get a point. Also wherever in the writing portion, if it asks you over architecture just be able to identify if it's roman/gothic/islamic,etc~it'llget you a point.
One thing that my teacher does is that instead of reviewing by units, he does it by periods. For instance, the Baroque, Renasiisance, Post-Modernism, etc. I find studying srt periods is much more simpler than the actually units themselves cuz as long as you know the main artists of each period, and are able to name a handful in each period you'll be fine.

Last year I took AP human geography and let's just say my score wasnt good. I knew pretty much a lot of the content so idk what happened. Then one of my teachers told me that I need to know HOW to answer ap style questions no matter how much of the content I know. Can you please explain this to me?

Hey, I am a bit late to the game but for studying for the APWH exam, do you think it is more effective to watch your topic videos or the review videos?
If your in class notes are pretty good then there isn't much reason to go into the topic videos as the review covers the general idea, but if not you should probably watch the topic vids as well (and maybe look at some other sites too)
Is it too late for me to get the AP HUG review packet if the exam is on May 7th? Can I get through all the material from the review packet if I get it now?
absolutely, im self studying apush having not done us history since summer 😭 if you are willing to put in serious work, its possible! i got through three units of apush in one week lol
Summary: he tells us everything we need to do to get that 5, and the review packet is for those who don't have time/too lazy to do the whole process by themselves. I'm not gonna buy the packet but I sure will guide my studies with the CED. Thanks Mr. Heimler. You saved my APUSH grade back in 2021 and now I know how to study history.
Could the Learning Objective be used as an LEQ?
Not the exact language, but not too far off. Kind of like Spanish and Portuguese. Not the same, but you can tell they’re related

I have a question, Would you write down/study the thematic focus and illustrative examples for all of the topics within the unit or rather the unit key focuses themselves
Do you think it would be possible for me to get a 4 or 5 on the AP Euro exam if I just do the following:
- Take notes on and practice active recall on the videos listed in your 30-day review plan
- Take some practice tests
- Practice DBQ/LEQ writing skills
I did less than that and I got a 5 last year with tough SAQs so I think you’ll be good

I don’t know how you can find them for specific units, but if you search ap world frq, you’ll get many leqs and dbqs. Only use examples from 2018 onwards. There are also some you can find at the end of the ced. In addition, if search up the ap world ced from 2017 you’ll get even more. I believe there’s at least one prompt from every unit

The one thing I have noticed is that the AP US History CED does not list any "illustrative examples." 😭 Is there something I'm missing?
Heimler said that AP World CED does list but AP US does not. His videos by unit have the examples, all that you need to know. He also has the ultimate packet which has it.
Yep, exactly what I would say. The APUSH CED used to have illustrative examples, and I wish they hadn't removed them. But they didn't ask me, so....

No, the review pack is the same price, but you can definitely use the notes to study.

Yep that should get you all the content you need… not much practice on skills though. If you’re good on those then the 30 day guide should be just fine

What score should you aim for when taking the DBQ and LEQ
That really depends on what you score on the other sections and what you want your final score to be. All things being equal, a 4 out of 7 is pretty attainable and definitely has you in passing range.
