Hi! I have disassembled and replaced the whole mirror box. I am left with 2 green and 2 brown wires on the side of the capacitor of the camera. Would you know where to connect them please? Thank you
Got a D700 with mirror up and doesn't go back down to resting position... Need to replace mirror box or a motor? Where are you located by the way? Thank you
Wow, my low shutter count (28,000) stops down and won't fire unless I hit the depth of field button multiple times. This was my dream camera. Only had two months and it is not reliable so is junk to me. Wish it could be fixed.
I fixed the solenoid. ,minute 10:07 i cant put the spring back... Is it necessary that spring under the af sensor ? *it dose not pull something, i don't understand why is in that place(the spring,) . what is useful for . what happens if i dont put the spring ?
that spring is for focus sensor when aligning it at the factory,i always put it back again the spring when assembling it...maybe it is no use anymore that spring because the sensor is fixed alread but for me no parts should be leave when assembling
@@techxian thank you for your prompt reply. the camera works fine when the aperture is fully open, i.e. at its widest opening. Changed lens too but same result. If i increase the f stops then it will give me this error. However it takes photos but they become underexposed. So i thought it might be aperture mechanism problem. Anyways thanks again. 🙂🙂
@@sanjeevluintel1812ah isee i thought that is always shutter error appearing when you make a shot...replace the solenoid in the aperture mechanism that common problem i encountered in nikon camera
@@techxian thank you so much for your support. I am not familiar with the repairs. I will take the camera to a repair center and suggest to have a look into the problem. Surely i will mention what you have said. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼
As I understand it I have the opposite problem. The aperture lever in my D700 is stuck down so that aperture is not fully open before pressing the shutter. I don't have any error message. Any tips?
@@techxianI bet the solenoid is on the aperture assembly? I bought the whole aperture assembly unit already to replace the original one but I can see now that it's a long process requiring almost full disassembly as you did.
@techxian Where can i buy whole assembly ? I have 2 d700 win problems cand i repair this Assembly ? In solenoid is good than whats causing problems ? Thank you!
HI great video.. Did this on my d700, put it back together and now got a blue rear screen with no menus etc. Any ideas?? Cheers
