    Just for reference, here are the artists & patterns I speak about!
    FINISHED OBJECTS:
    - Weasley Jumper by Tanis Grey (Drops Alpaca Silk & Drops Nepal)

    - Stockholm Sweater by Petit Knit (Rito Designs Creative Cotton Flecky Fleece)
    - Edgar Slipover by Kolibri by Johanna *with stripes, because stripes! (Zakami Yarns DK SWM & NSWM in Exordium & Scented Portrait)
    - Mini Vest with stripes by me using leftover yarn from Edgar Slipover along with Drops daisy held with Drops Alpaca Silk
    WIPs
    - Self-drafted Granny Square Blanket (Drops Andes & Creative Cotton Flecky Fleece by Rito Design)
    - Rolled Mohair Raglan, self-drafted (Drops Kid Silk held triple)
    - Charlotte Sweater, self-drafted (Drops Nepal)
    -Socks of Doom (Meilenweit denim mix by Lanagrossa)
    FUTURE PLANS & ACQUISITIONS:

    Ken

    Thank you for finally addressing the fact that these aren't podcasts!! 😅 I'm 57 and it drives me crazy that these videos are referred to as podcasts. So I'm on board with vodcasts or vlogcasts or whatever. Phew

      I always saying the same thing in my videos, think I might start calling mine vlog-cast too! I'm also from Michigan(Pontiac), but live in Illinois now.

    Hullo from New Zealand - I am a sock knitter - please persevere with your socks - you clearly like the yarn and you are almost 1/4 the way there - treat them like an advent and try for a few rows each day and they will be done in no time!

    • @IntuitiveKnits
      @IntuitiveKnits  21 день назад

      Hi New Zealand! 👋🏼
      Spieler alert, I finished them last night and they will be in my next episode!! 🥂✨🥳 they are far from perfect, but they cover the feet and don’t have holes, I call that a win!

    Long comment incoming…
    Great first episode!! I’m also a big proponent of the ‘Vodcast’ title. I always have to specify I watch *video* podcasts when talking to people about it hahaha. I love all your projects!! Your ability to just make up your own garment pattern as you go along is something I envy for sure.
    Definitely not biased here at all, but I vote for frogging those socks!! I’m also a loose knitter and I use 2.00mm or 2.25mm needles depending on the yarn… I think those look too big for you!!
    Crazy Sock Lady has super in-depth video tutorials if you’re set on knitting the socks cuff down, but I definitely prefer knitting them toe up. That way you can bind off and make ankle socks if you get sick of knitting 😂 Love the yarn you’re using though, I think it will make some awesome socks!!
    Looking forward to the next episode ❤

      Ohh man…you might be shocked by next weeks Vodcast then 🙃 let’s just say I don’t tend to give up on things very easily, even if I probably should 😂 🧦
      Smaller needles and toe up are good tips! I’m actually planning on doing your pattern next! (Are you not the Knit witch?! Aka sock queen?) I’ll be sure to share how they go of course! ✨🥂
      Glad you tuned in and enjoyed the Vodcast! See you in the next one! 🤘🏼

    Die Idee mit der Adventsweste ist so cool und super kreativ! :) sowas könnte man vielleicht auch mit einer Decke machen, und verschiedene Garn-Reste reinmischen. 🤔😊
    Ich schau jetzt deine Episoden von Anfang durch bis ich wieder auf dem neuesten Stand bin. ;)

      Yes!! Gute Idee mit der Adventsdecke! Und Rest-garn aufzubrauchen ist immer eine super Sache 🙌🏼
      Freut mich, dass du den Vodcast gut findest 🤗 hoffentlich sind alle episodes genauso spannend wie das erste!
      Best knit-wishes! 🧶

    There’s something really lovely and endearing to seeing you speak this early in your long form journey;) I think I’ve never felt more like a FaceTime with a friend so thank you from Toronto 🇨🇦p.s. as someone who’s had a larger stash than I would have liked, I think what I love about having a small(er) stash now is the acquisitions continue to feel special and intentional ideally don’t feel guilty which is how I wanna feel

      This is such a sweet comment! I love that you get a face-time vibe 🥂✨ that is what I was hoping for, I hope you enjoy future episodes as well!
      Also, what a great way to sum up the stash guilt and how to make each knit feel intentional/ special 🤎 I’m going to remind myself of your comment before jumping into more yarn :)
      Greetings back from Germany 🥂 🧶 happy knitting!

    Hello Ken,
    I am knitting a sock pattern of Ailbíona McLochlainn, really great. Her pattern includes instructions for cuff-down as well as toe-up, three different yarn weights and three different widths. Really great. And really clearly written. Love it.
    Happy knitting,
    Uschi

    I’m a sock knitter for 16 years and your beginning sock looks good! Earthtonesgirl has a very good “ podcast " for beginner sock knitters with different heels. She has very good tutorials . I think it would help you on your way to knitting socks. Really enjoyed your volgcast.

    Hi there, your channel came up on my RUclips recs, and I need to say I'm hooked already!! Also couldn't agree more re: vodcast vs. podcast, it somehow feels so fundamentally wrong to say "podcast" about something that you really couldn't get anything out of without the visual element 😂 And finally someone else who is not a huge dropped shoulder fan!!

    • @IntuitiveKnits
      @IntuitiveKnits  27 дней назад

      Awe, yay! Thanks for the appreciation of the ‘Vodcast’ haha I hope my other episodes are just as entertaining 😂
      And yes!! Down with the drop shoulder! Although I am actually knitting one up now 🙃 the pattern was just too fun to pass up! (Zugzwang sweater by lemon squeezy knits)

    Fellow American here! I live in the UK (moved here last summer) and totally relate with the needing a stitch community wether it's online or in person. Your projects are super cute! I hope Germany is treating you well. I spent quite a bit of time in the Bremen area for my old work, it's cool how much more common knitting/crochet is in their culture.

    • @IntuitiveKnits
      @IntuitiveKnits  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you, and Yes! Having a community (whether IRL or online) definitely makes any hobby much more enjoyable ✨ Germany is treating me well, I hope the English weather is treating you nicely and giving plenty of cozy knitting opportunities! I’ve never been to Bremen, but it’s on my list of places to visit for sure! 🥂

      Haha yes England has given me plenty of excuses to knit! I didn't know the sky could have this much rain in it haha.
      Bremen is good, if you go up north Hamburg is quite cool - there's a super cute yarn shop called MYLYS that's worth checking out. ☺@@IntuitiveKnits
