Is Iowa the new Nebraska for teal hunting?? Wild action and really enjoyed seeing you break out that SxS. Hope to see you hunt with it more this season!
Haha 😂 not quite you gotta scout birds over here but it’s pretty darn good opportunity for the Mississippi flyway. Thanks man I’m loving it. Only gun I’ve shot all year. We’ll keep running er back for now
Haha gotta be on that scout grind. It took me 3 weeks to find the spot that was holding birds and even then I only happened across this one at the last minute of the last day b4 season.
Ya it’s hard to catch everything thing on a GoPro especially with the sun playing out the lighting.. it would look way better with the sun at our backs and on the birds front
DUDE FIRED UP is and understatement got me so ready to shoot some birds in 10 days down here in south west Louisiana !! If you get a chance give us a follow , me and my son are documenting our first year duck hunting !!! I felt your frustration in my soul WHERES MY GUN ?? Hey where’s my gun ?? Then that first shot rang out 🤣 congrats on an awesome opener and breaking the ice !! Waiting for the next video !!!!
@@DuckGunChronicles oh, nice. I have a cabin on a private lake 3mi south of the Canadian border I hunt most the season. From there northward there isn't a road or humans for the most part until you get to wabigoon/Dryden area. Id say a couple hundred miles for certain. Lots of really uneducated ducks and most are very cooperative as they haven't yet seen a decoy or heard a gunshot in thier life. We are low on mallards but have a TON of woodies, and a pile of divers. Also, we have a population of blackducks here as well. Those are always a bonus to see. Get about as many of those as mallards. If yall wanna make a trip further north at se point? I've got a damn nice place for ya to stay.
@@eduffy4937 haha that sounds awesome. Youre luck to have a place like that. I not planning to make that long of a trip this time around but man that would be tempting in the future
@@DuckGunChronicles well keep it in the back of your mind. Most of my o.g. hunting buddies are all active duty deployed or have been lost to war, so I hunt by myself 99% of the time now. Always looking for good folk to share a blind with.
@@jjmalvitz3460 ya we had mostly passing shot on this one unfortunately. Our first time hunting that spot and we didn’t set up right. Next hunt I decoy nearly every bird
What state are you in bc all hunting is half hour before sunrise to sunset. Teal season specific should not be any different. I’m in Louisiana “mississippi flyaway” and it’s half hour before sunrise is legal shooting time. Never heard of any “flyway” rules
Let em finish
Our season here in Texas opens this coming sat...ill be there early...can't wait!!!!
Heck ya man! I hope you crush em

Scouting pays off big! And know the right people that scout for you too 😅
That was a fun hunt and unfortunately the video doesn’t do it justice on how many birds where there.

What was with the second shot on the last bird? Accidentally pull the second trigger?
Clean up shot.. and maybe a little trigger happy after the limit
I like watching teal decoy…..
