Can you please explain exactly how this goes infinite? If you cast a copy spell, you have to have cast another spell to target, or do it on opponents turn. If you do that, don’t you just get two instances of copy target spell?

you can copy your own sorcery (if the copy card is the first instant you cast this turn and kalamax is tapped) or your opponents card (during their turn, if kalamax is tapped), then you can use the copy to copy the first, which gives you another copy to target the first and just repeat untill your kalamax has 69420 counters on him, end the combo by copying the original target again.
