Best tip sort your diamonds in numeric and alphabetic than symbols. Which ever way makes sense to you while painting you spend lots less time looking for your colors. 💕😊
Yes, exactly! Whatever works best for you!! Great tip!!
I think the best tip I’ve gotten is to not give up on trying to multiplace/to use the thin multiplacers . I tried when I first started Diamond painting with a wide multiplacer and hated it and gave up. Recently, I wanted to learn to go faster so I gave it another try and now I’ll never go back. It goes so much faster for me. I know it’s not a race, but I have so many kits I want to do that I enjoy going as fast as I can so I can get to another lol. I don’t like having more than two wips. Thank you for your video!
There is definitely a learning curve to multiplacing. Thanks for watching!!
Lots of people have problems getting squares straight. I always line mine up from the bottom left corner of the square instead of trying to place them in the middle. Hopefully this tip helps someone!
I just came across this tip a few months ago, and it does make it easier with squares. Thanks for watching!!
I love metal tips for multiplacers. I re-use the DAC tool kit bags to kit up/store 310 or predominant background colors.
Oh, that's a great re-use of the bags!!
I find that using the step method of laying squares helps with making the drills lay straight.
Great tip! Thanks for watching!!
The tip that helped me a lot was the checker board application. I just started this week and was already driving myself with it being straight or not. Also to enjoy the experience and don’t worry about perfection. 🥰
Yes, checkerboarding is a great technique! I try not to stress too much about getting the drills perfect - as long as I’m enjoying it, it’s all good. Thanks for watching!!
Yes I love my glue dots to me it saves a lot of time and my second one is when I multiplace and I I never go straight up and down I load them in my multiplacer little on the side of the drill and move them over to the short rails in the tray which will line them up straight and you can see where to place them better. Saves a lot of time straightening drills
I think lining the drills against the lines is a tip many people don’t know!!
This painting is coming along nicely!
For me, I think getting quality pens has been a game changer. I need a variety of weights and thicknesses as I have carpal tunnel and arthritis so depending on the day, will depend on what pen I use and is comfortable.
Same! I use 3-4 pens on every kit to keep my hands working!!
I’m new to diamond painting since July 2022. I have acquired 6 fancy pens. I love them! They are way more comfortable to grip than the skinny free ones even with the squishy. I love the plastic multiplacers too. And wax. Oh! I have a tip - I’m not a fan of washi tape, but prefer to use Scotch wall-safe tape. It’s clear so you can still read the legend and peels off like a post-it note. I recently placed my first order to dpwithsparklers and am trying to look at the image to see where I want to add the bling with purpose. I keep my ABs in clear zip bags on a ring, labeled, because a dmc in a list is nothing like seeing, “oh, I have a nice grassy green”. Can’t wait to see some of your experiments, especially the cross stitch conversions. Have a great day!
The pink pens are definitely not the most comfortable to work with! Good to know about the Scotch tape - the washi does cover up the key symbols. That’s a good point about the AB drills - especially because the dye lots may differ between companies. I will have to think on that!!
Most helpful tip would have to be a tie between multi placing and the concept of tray towers. Those two things once put in place and mastered have made the biggest difference in my diamond painting journey. They helped me get really good and efficient at my craft. It has made the biggest difference and made it so much more un. I don't have to mess with storage anymore. I kit up in to trays and average 7-10 finishes a month as a result. 3rd place would go to Rebecca's method of spares storage. It made me love the dekit process.
I still need to try the tower/trays method and see how much faster it is for me. I’d love to be able to finish 5-6 projects a month!!
There are two tips that helped me, is glue dots and light pads. 💯 I said glue dots as soon as you asked the question so when you said glue dots I laughed out loud 🤣 So did my husband, who listens to my you tube videos when I'm watching them lol You could always use some of the 30x30 kits for your testing. I have been scaling down my HAED canvas because I don't want all of it. So I have decided to use the canvas that I cut off to do some small cross stitch patterns on! So crazy we had, essentially, the same thought! Great minds! Lol Have a good day!
Glue dots are the best!! I had that same thought about some of my 30X30s - I will be going through my completed kit this week to figure out which ones I am okay sacrificing, lol. The HAED I am currently working on doesn’t really lend itself to scaling down, but one of my other ones will mostly get that treatment. Thanks for watching!!
My three tips would be glue dots as I am a heavy placer. Another one is a light pad. Lastly it would be use a pair of tweezers on square diamond paintings I can control where the drill goes a lot better.
@@tammyglasenappsimon4941 I don’t think I will ever master tweezers!!
I use GemsFlow and list all the colors in each canvas as I do them. Then if I’m looking for a specific AB or special drill I can check the colors in GemsFlow and see if I have it. I save all my drills from each canvas I complete
I didn’t know GemsFlow did that!!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous yes you can set project colors for each canvas.
