Data Sources:
- Meat eaters data is from National Family Health Survey 2019-21. It refers to the percentage of population that eats meat atleast once a week.
- Fish eaters data is from National Sample Survey 2019. It refers to the percentage of families that eat fish or prawns.
- Pizza and Biryani data is by Zomato trends.
- Wheat and rice data is from National Sample Survey 2014.
Similar data collection has been done by India in Pixels, Stats of India, and Hindustan Times. So some amount of inspiration has come from there.

Living in Karnataka, I'm the opposite of most of the things you mentioned. I'm a vegetarian who eats roti + rice everyday and am not lactose intolerant & absolutely love milk products.

💯 true, I'm from odisha and came to Punjab for my studies; here rotis and parathas are in all 3 main meals but in odisha I eat the rotis only at night. Also here in Punjab fish dishes are very rare compared to chicken.
But one exception here is that milk and dairy products are so common compared to my home state.
