You just get any visitors tripping over entering yourpeg 😂 I had a bailiff do it when he came over to me and he lost his shit saying i shouldnt have them fitted 😂
i use the skull cap on short sessions and never had any issues with condensation on the inside of the bivvy. with the winter extended wrap again no issues with condensation on the inside of the bivvy however i did use it this wknd and had a little bit of condensation on the inside of the extension but not on the inside of the bivvy itself. im sure if i used the bivvy without any of the wraps then im sure i would have some condensation on the inside of the bivvy then, but this is why the skull cap is provided i guess. thanks for getting in touch and asking mate.
I would just like to add that i had condensation build up between the skull cap and the outer side of my frontier when i used it in 30 degrees heat and nothing on the inside. I also find that the inner dome helps stopping inner drips, but like you said, im also sure it would be heavy on the condensation without the skull cap etc. A great great bivvy though 👍
I have the frontier x camo, I'm getting the camo extension, shame it's £180 more expensive but hay ho, the one thing that concerns me is the way it makes the bivvi side walls slack, do you think is there anyway around this ? Pegs and lines but keep them tight along the outside of bivvi keeping the bivvi pole from being pushed back with extension pole, or to the rear keeping it pulled back and taking slack out ?
Hey mate, have a look at Carp TV Tym's video on the extension, he shows a good way to fit it on your own. have you got overwrap and skull cap? are they worth it?
I have all the options for the xd and find no negatives with it. Great bit of kit
I've got the frontier X in camo and would love a matching extension.
@nickcox6556 hold fire on buying anything just yet mate. I'm sure they will make the extension in camo soon now I have got 1 in green mate.
If you use the guide ropes,it gets rid of the slacking
@cupidstunt2 to be fair mate I did not even think about using them so thanks for the tip. 👍

@thecowboycarper ha ha ha. Iv not used my guy ropes yet mate so no I have not.
Seen 2 of these set up and both look the part so much extra space, just waiting on the camo version too I think 🤔
Great video mate! One question with the bivvy how is the condensation inside? And do you use the winter skin or is the vapour peak good enough?

Cheers mate for the info made my mind up to get one now
@JohnWILLSON-i3l it is the best bivvy I have owned to date mate.

Iv got both now. The skull cap is what I'd use when I go on my own but if I go for longer sessions or with the missus then il take the extension
Are you able to fit 2 bed chairs in it??
@far2lively174 if you was to open up the front of the bivvie you could easily get 2 bedchiars in there mate.
