There’s not “the one” correct technique for anything on the drums. I actually use 2 completely different techniques for playing double strokes, depending on the intention and sometimes on the tempo that I’m playing. Sometimes I use my middle finger to hold the fulcrum and use a lot more wrist (Moeller), and sometimes I use the index finger for the fulcrum and play them with a more “common” technique, using my fingers to move the sticks and control the rebound as well. You have to find the one that’s more comfortable for you, what you have to keep in mind is those dynamic tips that I present on the video. Try to accent every 2nd stroke and when you speed it up you will have them even.
