I think that this a superb knife will be absolutly the best survival, camping knife among 5' to 7' inch blades, and the thickness of this blade is not '025 (6,35mm) but is '027(7mm) and 1.3lb (589 g) anyway this is very nice review, best regards 👍.
I got this knife! I have 1 thing to complain about! The carry system sucks but can be changed if you order dangler mounts! It's a heavy knife if your going to be hiking! Other than that, this is a beast of a knife! It's a great camp knife/ survival knife! Out of 5 stars, I give it a 4!
My super big heavy knife days are over, I am still considering that Longhorn Bowie from tops, that thing just caught my eye and I still see its potential. I've really started to use my Mora Garberg all the time now, I gave it a nice slight scandi-vex and it screams through wood with awesome control. I think the full convex like you see on the Barkriver knives is one of the best overall blade designs you can have, just my opinion but dang they are spendy. That cfk knife is crazy big.....You should look up the new Real Steel Bushcraft ProX there is one video by a Canadian channel he does a cool review, the knife comes in either a full flat or scandi, removable kydex sheath inside its nylon molly sheath. It has 14C28m steel just like the Mora Garberg, but I know some folks just don't like stainless, I've never cared either way myself. It looks like a very comfortable knife and is around $100.
Nice! Looks like it comes in D2 also, which I really like. Yeah, these days, carbon, stainless...I don't really care...both have their place. You can probably tell that I just like to play with blades...I do gravitate generally towards the 6" size for general camp tasks...but I do use my smaller blades much much more...for waaaay more tasks. A smaller blade is more versatile, but the large blades are fun!
According to my knife steel app that steel is not a stainless but a low alloy(and low carbon at .35) steel used mostly in swords or large knives. Having such low carbon should make it very tough but low hardness(bet they dont state rc hardness) resulting in very easy shatpening but quick dulling steel.
I've looked at this knife many times but this is the first review I've seen. Can't wait till you test it in the field. I really want to know how well it will hold up to some tests
I'm gonna do my best to thrash on this thing. I'm overall not thrilled at this point...but once I get it in the field I'll know more. I will definitely do a field test, but it might be a little bit...I have a few videos lined up...but it will happen eventually.
Bottom line is whats good for you and what you think is cool. I love my ESEE6 as well as my BK2 and my other thick blades. There is something to be said about the way weight gives the user confidence in the realm of "Survival Knives"". Keep up the good work brother.
Yeah, there aren't many that I actually like the design...I find most of what they make have strange looks. This one caught my attention and I have wanted it for a while. I'm starting to think most of what they make is over built, which is not necessarily an advantage.
Is this the same one CFK7 Peacemaker? i have the same one just has the ' hole' on top dont know why or is it the same or not, same size thickness everything just that has that hole? any info, i cant poat a photo of it so you will know what i am talking about.. thanks🙏
Nothing, no one came with informations, i could v not find something on Google or RUclips, very strange! Tried the knife, sturdy, thick, heavy, stays sharp after many hits on the woods, trying ti make fire and all that, but why is it different or perhaps limited edition type of knife maybe? Dont know!
@@aheronbobaj-konsulentijuaj2408 great to hear you’re using it as it should be. i saw both versions today and the one without holes was double the price of the one with holes…! same steel and same weight though 🤷🏽♂️ how are you liking it so far?
Hi friend, the videos you do are very good. I would like you to tell me the type of edge or cast and angle in degrees, which has the knife 5.11 CFK7, a greeting
I really don't know to be honest. I found it to be fairly good and covered it in more detail in a field review video later on. I still have the knife but barely use it...too heavy.
great job man! I enjoyed the comparisons you made and that bk7 is just looking good!!!!! what ever happened to your Tops TFK? KEEP it up man, I can't watch enough knife videos lol.
Seems like a nice enough knife but the handle scales are hideous to say the least!! If I were to buy this one (wich I actually consider) I would definitely give it a new handle in micarta or G10. And maybe grind off that part of the tang that sticks out at the end of the handle....
That knife is OK. It's so damn heavy. Overall it's in great condition, but I don't naturally gravitate towards it. It would be better if it was like 2/3 the size...my honest opinion.

Definitely a beast...I don't mind the carry system personally...but I totally get it. Not gonna hurt this knife...a heavy duty tank!

Pretty solid knife nice sheath too. I didn't know 5.11 made knives.

I’ve been looking at this now for a while
They have a smaller version too...both cool knives. A bit heavy in my opinion, but there are some desirable qualities.
@@outerlimitless I just ordered this knife. Your video help make the decision. Thanks! What do you think about 5.11 tomahawk?
That exposed steel on the handle is going to be a huge issue with regular use. Maybe remove the scales and modify it a little.

Ese cuchillo fue descontinuado? No lo encuentro en el enlace, tampoco en Amazon
How is this steel compared to 1095 or 5160 in terms of toughness and durability?
I really don't know to be honest. I found it to be fairly good and covered it in more detail in a field review video later on. I still have the knife but barely use it...too heavy.

I have had 2 TFK's. one sharpened swedge, one unsharpened. Sold both to help keep the channel going. knives are oddly addicting!
i'm about due for that BOB review...very soon
outer limitless you got that right!
outer limitless woooooohoooooo!
Ready to further your channel with funds from selling me that Arvensis?
How many cm is the cutting edge alone?
This 511 or the Norsman from Viking tactics im buying one or the other in a couple days
Which one did you end up getting?

I guess you can easily do a dangle option on the opposite side with a belt...
I love a cross draw dangle setup for a knife that size. It's about perfect!
Bloody hard to find this one online.
1yr 5months later... How the knife doing?
That knife is OK. It's so damn heavy. Overall it's in great condition, but I don't naturally gravitate towards it. It would be better if it was like 2/3 the size...my honest opinion.
I feel like the bk7 is just crushing it in all ways and it can be bought cheaper.
Bk7 falls out of its sheath if the strapped is not buttoned. I think the 5.11 blows the bk7 away
thx
nice video
Thanks! Now for the field test!!
price???
Price can vary...I'm not really sure where it is at right now...
This sheath isn't functional when reversed.
close to be a machete
Much smaller than most machete, but thicker blade stock by a bunch.
