  • More than 100 Ukrainian women returned to the country, having been held in Russian captivity.
Most of the women are believed to be POWs, with a small number of them being civilians.
They were freed as part of a prisoner exchange with Russia.

Call for peace or you have blood on your hands

@@24tommy109 I'm a German Jew. Did our ancestors in Auschwitz have blood in our hands for _not_ calling for peace? Did calling for peace create the peace?
Russia is a genocidal regime, calling for peace between a genocider and its victims does make you have blood on your hands.
To paraphrase Golda Meir: "Peace will come when the Russians will love their children more than they hate Ukrainians."

@@24tommy109 Everyone wants peace, but the ball is in Russia's court when it comes to that. Ukrainians should not simply be expected to roll over and die/give up their land when faced with such unprovoked aggression. To be clear, I don't hate Russia by any means (it is a very interesting country with a long and rich history and many kind people I am sure), but most Russians also need to wake up and realize they are being misled by their government and that they are in fact in the wrong.

You clearly don't understand peace negotiations. If there is a 'but' you are culpable. Again, blood on your hands

While there are still prisoners, it is impossible to talk about these topics, so as not to harm those who remained in captivity.
