I was amazed and happy to see how fluently Sumi is spoken in KÜTSAPO, even by children. This reflects the strong cultural ties between the Sumi and Chakhesang tribes through marriages and interactions over the years. It truly shows we are biological brothers with shared roots, and it’s something everyone should experience! ❤️🙏

Thank you for sharing this wonderful testimony! It’s truly inspiring to hear about his energy, faith, and dedication. Climbing up the church tower to pray daily shows remarkable commitment. I hope more Naga fellows are encouraged to visit, learn, and support him and his mission. Such acts of faith deserve our admiration and encouragement!💒❤️🙏

Kütsapo is also one of the remnants of Sümi villages under Phek district in our Sümi tribe migration route. While we were migrating away from our Chakhesang and Angami brothers, we continued inhabiting unoccupied lands and good number of them now fall under Phek district and few under Kohima district. The then migration of Lotha, Sümi, Rengma, Zeliang, Pochury, etc, etc tribes have either started from today’s Mao/Poumai area or Chakhesang or Angami area. Our remnants are everywhere. Our surnames are also either identical or similar sharing the same lineage. Some clans are in many tribes. Though we adopted different languages, our beliefs and customary practices are also almost identical in most aspects. The reason for hatred and disunity is that each brother tribes believes they are a little more special than the other.😅

I was shocked at first and also happy to see the people in KÜTSAPO speaking Sumi so fluently, even the young children and youth. I think this is because of the close ties between the Sumi and Chakhesang tribes through marriages and regular interactions over generations. This connection has beautifully preserved the Sumi dialect in the village, showing how deeply bonded the tribes are. Through this, we realize that we are not just neighbors but biological brothers, united by culture and history. It’s heartwarming to witness such harmony and diversity, and I truly recommend visiting KÜTSAPO to experience this unique bond firsthand! ❤️🙏
