You guys did an ok job. Please next time move the camera so we can see what you were doing on the backside. I figured it out when I went back out to the car... Thanx Again
Mine just went down then didn’t come back up, found this very helpful, thanks for sharing. Took the motor off and the wire from the drive was poking through, had to untangle it to manually raise the window.
I replaced the passenger rear regualtor about a year ago on my 2013 Edge, now the driver side rear has failed. I noticed somebody else has commented about replacing both as well. I assume this is a common problem on the Edge and MKZ.
After an hour of trying to connect the motor into the regulator gear.I didn't realize the new regulator gear had a small zip securing it from spinning.😂😂😂
2 options. Drive down to Florida and I can take a look at it OR do a web search for power window repair and the city you are in. You may need professional guidance.
Once you get the door panel off, remove the speaker. Push the glass up. Then we drill a hole thru the regulator by where the cross bracket is. Then a long screw to hold it in place. Watch the video again, should be able to figure it out. Thanks, Scott
Thanks! Saved me a lot of extra work by not having to remove that door latch assembly
Glad it helped!

How do you get the window to stay up?

I just used a wood block and wedge it under very carefully.
most ford bolts are metric
I find most are SAE but metric sizes will certianly fit.
