Will you use the Invites app? And do you think this gives us a preview of iOS 19 design!? Shop ESR HaloLock Classic Hybrid Case (Camera Control, Stash Stand): bit.ly/4hkvD2x
I feel like Apple is losing their way. This should’ve been an open app in an app that is also available on android. This walled garden stuff is being pushed too far. I’m even considering giving up by iPhone and moving to something else so that I can use my apps with my friends.
Moving to something else? Won’t you have the same problem? Are you the only one amongst your friends that uses iOS? The so called walled garden is intentional in many respects. It’s a way to encourage consumers to want to change. The concept is simple…If you want it, then come get it.
The main downside is the limit of how many people u can invite. Stephen Robles found out that it was set to 100, so if u ever need more than that, ur kinda limited to how u can manage this. Maybe create multiple event listings, and split it into 2 groups: Basic invitees and then VIPs? idfk...
How many people are making events that 100+ people are invited to? Besides like Hollywood, corporate get togethers & weddings? 100 is more then enough for most occasions.
Wow more amazing innovations from Apple! Makes this buying an iPhone 16 pro max so much better!!! I couldn’t imagine owning anything else. The awesome apps Apple has done along with Apple intelligence… wow!!! I can’t believe how awesome they made it to make cartoon pictures of yourself and emojis and super fun invites now if you pay for it. INNOVATION!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see how iOS 19 lets us make some more things that are super useful
I think it’s very interesting (minus the Image Playground) and my theory is that it’d be great for book clubs. Also, I thought I knew Apple Inc. lore but I didn’t know anything about Apple Cards. P.S. My favourite part was you getting more and more confused about its use cases lol
I very much disagree. All it takes is an account and you can RSVP. Compared to any other app that still requires a download and an account. It’s no harder.
“ All it takes is an account” Is, in practice, a pretty big barrier to entry. For people who don’t like or want Apple stuff, this makes The user experience, slow and annoying. Apple gets a lot of things right, but But interoperability with people who are not deeper in the ecosystem is not something that they do or do well. A much better experience would be one that is extremely smooth and guide you into creating an account once you’ve shown value to the user . You need to make creating or logging into your account of value ad and not a gateway. If what you’re looking to do is make the non-ecosystem experience feel good.
Totally unrelated but ‘Harrison’s Fourth Birthday’ has to be carefully pronounced because idk why I’m imagining a Harrison Ford from ‘Star Wars’ themed birthday party.
Hey, there's no need to actually use it! I just didn't have a good image handy and wanted to demo another feature at the same time. I think it's a pretty harmless use of it.

Just find new friends and don’t be so dramatic, bob ❤

Yes, right now it’s limited to 100, could possibly expand

what is an alternative that does not require an icloud account? this is very lame... not everyone has an icloud iccount.
It’s iPhone only to create the invite but you can send it to anyone including android users.
No, anyone can create it online too, with an Apple account.
Proper events management was one of the last few reasons I stayed on FB.
A lot of apps these days are trying to reinvent the wheel and this is one of them.
Great video! Does it work with iPad?
Not full screen
@@AppleInsider Thanks for such a quick reply! I've downloaded on both iPad and iPhone - what a great App!!
This is probably preferable if everyone has an iPhone but still seems clunky for those with an Android.

@ most all 3rd party apps do the same. Because they tie to an email to keep track of who’s who and send updates for the event. They’re all the same.
@@AppleInsiderstill wasn’t super impressed. Could’ve added similar functions to calendar for no cost.
People are tied to their phones too much already.
Come one Apple makes billions and billions. And now I have to buy Apple Cloud plus.

I love it!! I think that should be it!
Put the audio track in Portuguese 🇧🇷.
icloud+ is required to create invites and an apple account is required to reply = hard pass 👎
thumbs down for using garbage generative AI

Looks like a nice toy. Not something I would use. Prefer human contact.
Wait. You won’t use the app designed to get people together because you… like human contact?
@@AppleInsideryeah…. I read that too.
If you need my email to send me a invite, let me know 😂
