Always wonderful to see you in my hometown of New York City! Can't believe you carried all your bags up and down the subway stairs to get to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, though walking through Carroll Gardens and Red Hook is just fine (of course, I live here). I, too, love the city views from Brooklyn, which includes the bridges and Governor's Island (12:20). A massive THANK YOU for letting the scenery speak for itself! Congratulations on the year onboard cruise ships (and ocean liners); Cheers!
Hey! Thanks so much for watching, and continuing to support my little channel - it’s so appreciated! Cruising from NYC remains one of the coolest things I’ve ever done - I absolutely LOVED the experience of that! Thanks so much for sticking with me - lots more to come! 😊
I enjoyed your Queen Mary 2 embarkation. A QM2 transatlantic is something I could do, and I really liked watching your sail away from NYC. It's interesting seeing how nice and quiet the ship is, one of the benefits of sailing across the Atlantic in December. You're really joyful in your videos, keep it up man, it's infectious.
Hey! Thanks so much for watching - I’m delighted to read you’re enjoying my channel! I totally agree about the December point - the ship was busy inside at times during the crossing, but the decks were perfect - I’d imagine it would be BUSY up there in summer! Thanks for your support!!
I love how you are not afraid to show emotion. It makes your videos so much more than the average persons vlogs. Never apologise for a little wobble. Shows you are human .
Hi Brenda, this is such a lovely comment to read. I’m glad this video has gone down well - I was actually quite nervous posting it because of the raw emotion. Such a memorable day - thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for this vlog Fraser. Well done as always. I’m on this same itinerary on QM2 next December. Inside cabin deck 10. I hope the ship is as beautifully decorated for my passage to Southampton. So looking forward to it.
Hello! Ahh, stay tuned for my cabin tour going up tonight! Great that you’re also booked on for a December crossing - she’s absolutely gorgeous that time of year!
Thankyou Fraser, I loved every minute of this video. I have now put this on our bucket list. The NY sky line is simply amazing.... Lost for words. Thankyou.
It looked amazing sailing out of NYC and the sunset too ,when you go under the bridge you don’t think there’s enough room ,a lovely way to end your amazing time at sea 😻
Fraiser, you so have the gift of the gab, and the emotions to boot. You are talking from your heart so I will be following you in anything you put on youtube because I believe in you, compared to some of the others. I have been a cruise director for over 20 years on eleven cruise lines, and I have to say if I had met you I would've offered you a job with my staff. You are a true cruiser.x
We've only done 2 nights on board from Hamburg to Southampton. I adore this ship and everything about her. We are furiously saving up to do the Transatlantic (and buying lottery tickets). Thanks for a great video.

Yeah lovely video Fraser. If she still docked in Manhattan I would've booked a crossing long time ago. I guess because that's where my ancestors arrived it's important to me,

I made the trans-Atlantic voyage once long ago on the Queen Elizabeth 2, we docked in Manhattan - perfect.

Thanks so much for the beautiful views of sailaway from Brooklyn and your moving reflections. Loved watching your reactions. 2 things: 1. If anyone wants to take public transit to the teeminal, you can get a free transfer from the subway to a bus that stops just a few blocks from the terminal so you don't have to do that walk thru Red Hook. I understand people say Red Hook is safe nowadays, but I still would not recommend that walk to a tourist. Also: You can get a ferry to the teeminal from downtown Manhattan. Myself, I live in Manhattan and take a car service to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal even though i use public transit to the airports. 2. How was the buffet? I wonder especially because not owning a tux and not wanting to purchase one only for cruise ship dinners, I've assumed i would be exiled to the buffet for dinner on a Cunard trip. All my cruises have been on Princess.
Hey, thanks a lot for watching! You’re right - much better taking a taxi. I also used the ferry before, and LOVED that experience! The buffet was good actually - I met lots of people who ate there most nights because of the dress code. They opted to have lunch in the restaurants when there was no dress code then be casual at night - such good thinking, and allows you to still try the proper restaurants! Great to see your name pop up, Abraham!
Just hit 17,900 this morning, so probably not this weekend, although that would be lovely wouldn’t it?! I’m going to put together a bit of a summary video with some of my ‘tops’ of the year - watch this space!
Thanks for another entertaining and useful film. One thing I don’t get, though, is what is so bad about the bathroom? It looks pretty decent, it’s not like the shower has one of those flappy curtains that we all hate! Okay, the black border around the sink does make it look like a toilet seat…
Thanks a lot for watching! The bathroom did actually have a shower curtain, but it was tucked away in this video, haha! It wasn’t the worst though - my next video is a full cabin tour, so ‘watch this space’! 😊
Ahh, hi Carole! 👋🏼 Hope you enjoyed the rest of the crossing - what a week, eh? Thanks for commenting on here - I love when memories like this pop up! 😊
Ha, if my talking didn’t annoy you then I’m sure my snoring would 😂 Thanks so much for this comment - I get mixed reviews on my accent, so really appreciate this!
When asked by the NYT what would have been the outcome if I got the calculation of the height of the funnel wrong for the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge transit, I replied that, “it would only have been a problem the first time!”
Stephen, wow! I’ve just registered your name here - thanks so much for watching my video! I can imagine there was a lot of stress in that situation - you’re a braver man than me, haha!
@@stephenpayne4896 I’ve actually just spoken to my friends - Laura and Joe - they met you on the Transatlantic back in September 2022, and told me all about you and your involvement with QM2! Thanks so much for watching my channel!
Hey Andrew! They do indeed - every evening is ‘smart’ attire, and then there are a couple of ‘gala’ dress code evenings, too. For Gala, you should expect dinner suits and gowns - very swish! Thanks for watching!
Yep, so I wanted to know more about the Queen Mary and saw this on the channel. Didn’t realize that it was the last sailaway of your 10 month odyssey. The view was outstanding and the shot of the Statue of Liberty was gorgeous. Had I been there, I would have had an even bigger wobble, probably. Am so looking forward to seeing all your videos, and feel like I have found a treasure chest of goodies. Another observation is that you are so kind in your replies even to those who are , well, critical. See you in the next one!
Mind If I offer a little advice? Genuinely not trying to offend. Too much talking, not enough of the ship. Sometimes just walking with the camera pointing outwards and allowing us to absorb the sites and sounds can be priceless. Again, not trying to upset. Your film quality is suburb, just trying to offer a little advice. :)
Hey! Thanks for the feedback - I’m always really keen to improve! Over the last year, I’ve continued to change and evolve my camera work following previous feedback, this this is much appreciated! 😊

I was on the ship with my sister and met you at Halifax
Ahh, hi Carole! 👋🏼 Hope you enjoyed the rest of the crossing - what a week, eh? Thanks for commenting on here - I love when memories like this pop up! 😊
Bro, next time take a taxi. Or the city bus which brings you to within one block of the pier in Brooklyn!
I’ve also cruised from here using the ferry from Manhattan and loved it - thanks for the advice! 😊
Wait, what? This was a year ago and you're just now uploading it?
I spent almost all of last year on cruise ships and I upload videos twice weekly. Yea, there’s been a delay 😂
Enjoy the night and take everything out doesn't quite ring as a first night out, but if you call it embarkation day I guess it's allowed ?
Ha, allowed on embarkation night, haha! Thanks for watching 😊
Keep talking. I don’t usually like anyone talking so much but I’d happily share a cabin on a QM2 crossing with you 😎
Ha, if my talking didn’t annoy you then I’m sure my snoring would 😂 Thanks so much for this comment - I get mixed reviews on my accent, so really appreciate this!
When will you be coming on Princess (they also have laundromats)? (happy to share my referral $25 obc lol) I have enjoyed many of your videos.
Ha, I’d love to get on Princess, but it might take a bit more than $25 to secure a booking 😂 Thanks for watching!
Just a heads up! Big difference between a cruise ship and an Ocean liner.
Queen Mary 2 is one of the last Ocean liners in the world!
Totally agree! Did I call her a cruise ship in this video? I didn’t realise I had if so, ha! Thanks for the heads up!
Do they have a dress code for nights?
Hey Andrew! They do indeed - every evening is ‘smart’ attire, and then there are a couple of ‘gala’ dress code evenings, too. For Gala, you should expect dinner suits and gowns - very swish!
Thanks for watching!
Brooklyn is expensive, it might be gritty but it’s not cheap to live there and not as unsafe as you make it out to be.
Hi Kris, I guess it’ll be so expensive being so close to the city! Thanks a lot for watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment!
This is the last cruise of your year at sea!
You’re right - we’ve finally got there! Ha, don’t worry - the plan now is that we just keep on cruisin’ 😊 👏🏼 Thanks for continuing to follow along!
OMG .. I have such a crush on you 😍 . You are so adorable 😍
Ha, thanks very much - this is better feedback than I usually get, so I’ll take it 😂 Thanks for watching!!
Oh I love your voiceovers Frazer and breadth of information shared. My favourite crusie vlogger
@@tristancollins3037 wow - thanks Tristan!! 😊
I love all the talking in your videos they are very informative. Love how much you appreciate the little things about cruising.
@ thanks a lot! 😊
