If Sanguine intends for his followers to do his servants, does that mean him giving you the Sanguine Rose, which summons a dremora, is basically the equivalent of him giving you a cake where a sex worker bursts out of it?

After this video, you know.....Meridia's hatred toward Molag Bal and all creatures of darkness seems more understandable. If what Drew mentioned about her and Molag being intimate was true at some point, then it certainly gives the main plane-meld questline of ESO a new humorous outlook. Nothing like a scornful ex trying to spite you in every way they can. Of course, these two are complete opposites and have always been adversarial. But when you think about it, Meridia claimed a piece of Molag Bal's own realm through the Hollow City. And she helped thwart his plan for the plane-meld. Of course, with their intense rivalry, this could have just been in line with ensuring Molag didn't get the upper hand over her. But when you look at it, you realize she took his property, waves it in his face to spite him, and does all she can to make sure he never succeeds. I'd call her a raging, scornful, and petty witch, but given that she lost her divinity for consorting with Molag Bal and those of his like, I'd say her rage is pretty understandable. If what Drew says is true, then oof.....I don't even want to know what their divorce was like. Mortals are probably used to settle their debts against each other. Hell, we may have just won Meridia a settlement in a long-going court battle between them. If this is the case, it's no wonder they hate each other vehemently.

I could ask many questions about Vivec and Bal's union, but the one that bugs me most is that Bal apparently wanted to learn how to make tender love. Not for that union, so for who?
Perhaps it was just for the sake of experiencing it. When your sphere is domination, and that is what you intuitively express, it may take making a deal with a particularly brave mortal (and soon-to-be god) to have an opportunity to know what the opposite of your nature feels like.
I suspect that, as they are still beings with emotions and odd desires, most of the Daedra try their hand at a mortal once in a while. Perhaps that's why Demi-Princes exist. Perhaps Bal wants to experience that tender union for the experience and for knowing how to dominate the ones who might be so easily strung into such things. Who knows, really.
As much as I'd want to believe the sermons, we do have to remember that everything written down in lore, ESPECIALLY from the perspective of one character-isnt an absolute truth. Knowing Vivec and his boastful nature im inclined to think his sermons are kinda baloney. Really, he *dominated* the king of *domination?* And he was smooth talking his way in and out of it? Just some food for thought. TeS is a game with no authoratitive author so we'll never know
@@iScAre1 I watched the lore video on Molag Bal before this one, and I'm inclined to believe that Vivec was the villain in this story. Molag Bal's rage and desire for domination are born from severe self-loathing, and a warped desire for love. He believes himself to be unlovable, so he resorts to punishment and control. There have been times when he has attempted genuine love, only to find out that he was being used the whole time, which makes his rage and insecurity even worse. I believe Vivec showing him tenderness genuinely lured him into a sense of security, since despite his foul behavior, all he's ever wanted is genuine love. Only to find out Vivec was using him to gain the syllable of royalty. I think Bal really loved Vivec and believed him, until he learned the truth of Vivec's motives.
I would hesitate to say that vivec consorted with molag bal willingly, in his sermons vivec claims to have removed his head while they were together, which to me clearly reads as disassociation, something which occurs when experiencing something traumatic. Not to mention he also had his feet removed... Like it seems like he was trapped and did his best to reduce the harm that came to him by just going along with what molag bal wanted (something also common in abusive situations.) Not to mention that vivec himself implies that the sermons are him rewriting his mortal past, so molag bal is probably just a stand in for his rapist when he was younger, and their children which he "defeats" are him learning to cope with his trauma/stop toxic behavior he may have picked up from being in and trying to survive abusive/toxic situations.
Considering the Tribunal considered themselves the "good aspects" of The Good Daedra, and Vivec is the anticipation of Mephala, whose sphere involves lies, it could be said that Vivec uses lies for "good" such as masking his trauma as you mentioned
He still has a literal spear and knows CHIM and supposedly counseled the Nerevar with his disembodied head during the 88 days. If he was just diddled by some sload for a little while, I doubt he formed Muatra and learned a secret syllable of royalty while disassociating.
@@MDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMD Of course you're allowed to interpret that sermon however you want with how vague it is, but this interpretation of Vivec not actually consenting to the union is just as valid as the others. That's the intrigue of ES lore after all.
@Chix i think there's a difference between Vivec making the most of a sexual assault and just rewriting the whole thing so that Molag Bal isn't even involved, as the OP has done.

I'm surprised that in a video all about relations between Daedric Princes and mortals, you didn't mention anything about Demi-Princes. Daedric Demi-Princes are the offspring of Daedric Princes and mortals. Currently, the only Demi-Prince that we know about is Fa-Nuit-Hen, who is the offspring of Boethia and a mortal. No information is known about Fa-Nuit-Hen's mortal parent, though it's implied to be a Bosmer, as that's the form that Fa-Nuit-Hen preferred. Demi-Princes are known to be eccentric, even by Daedric standards. They are given there own planes of Oblivion to rule over and are known to visit Tamriel occasionally. They are absolute masters of their own spheres, though this comes at the price of knowing virtually nothing about anything else. Fa-Nuit-Hen's sphere is sword techniques, so if the next game is set in Hammerfell, hopefully we'll see more of him and learn more about Demi-Princes.
In lore there's a character that fought alongside the Chimer in the war against the Nords, and then in the War of the First Council (forgot his name). After Nerevar was murdered, he went to the Ashlanders and told them the story. He was said to have been a son of Azura, though it's not clear if it was literal or if he was just a devotee.
Interesting how both the Reachmen and Khajiit connect Hircine to Lorkhan and Nirn. Khajiit have him giving his heart to Nirni, while Reachmen have him becoming the heir of Lorkhan on earth. I hope future games explore this. Like, maybe a Nordic myth could be uncovered where Hircine is the exiled son of Shor and Kyne.
@Levon Gevorgyan That would be awesome, especially since I have a Nord Druid Skyrim character who worships Kyne and Hircine. Hircine's never really been evil in intention, so it'd be a cool way to expand the lore and add to the fact that "Daedra" is only a mortal categorization of entities
In my minds' eyes, I always picture that the court mage at Riften, Wylandriah, was/is deeply loved Lord Sheogorath. The knowledge she has over Shivering Isles makes her a scholar of the place and the fact she wants/needs ingredients from such a place, while unable to find it and even being ridicule in Skyrim for it, gives me the impression she was happier being besides Lord Sheogorath over being around the nonbelievers who have no idea there are other realms and places. The current character built I have as a Daedric Worshiping, conjuring mage, I feel sorry for her. Every time I visit, she is asleep, a sign of depression, especially after losing a lover. I know this video is about canon and things being legit, but Wylandriah has signs of someone who was way too close with Lord Sheogorath, beyond just kissed or touched. 🤔She shows signs of someone who lost a lover... sleeping most of the day, forgets things, talks randomly about things that are only related to the world she had visited or been in. I feel sorry for her. I always invest with her whenever I have the chance, especially as a Lord Sheogorath worshiper (carries The Wabbajack and 100 cheese wheels everywhere in his honor). As for my character, she has J'zaro as a follower, but her heart is always with the Daedra, so she is always conjuring up Dremoras and trying to appease Sheogorath through leaving cheese wheels as made up shrine.
You know, I've been researching into this myself for a few days out of curiosity. Nice to see that Fudgemuppet delivers as always! Pd: Could I suggest another video on this matter but on average daedra? I've heard of such Relationships between mortal and daedra. And wonder how they work.
Headcanon-Meridia and Jyygalag were lovers. Think about it. Both control spheres that on the surface makes them seem like good guys (life and order respectively), when their not. And both despise free will. So I'm surprised their hasn't been any canon lore between them. I can imagine Meridia turned on her lover when she found out that he wanted to turn the universe into basically the Chrome Future in Spongebob, and since her sphere was of all life, including the plants and beasts, she conspired with the other Princes. Together they hatched the scheme where the Lady of Light and the other princes would curse him mid-coitus, when he was the most vulnerable, much like how the Greek Goddess Gaia brought about the downfall of her lover Uranus (add jokes below)
Molag Bal took out his spear.. then Vivec took it his/her spear... and then everyone watching took out their spears... and thus every spear in existence was taken out, which explains why you can't find spears in Tamriel anymore.
I always think to myself, “What if the Tribunal never severed their connection to the heart? They made a youtube channel where they discuss and share the knowledge of Nirn and beyond.”
DIbella has literally no reason for doing that, she's not "god of sex lmao", it's more than that and Sanguine is all about pleasure for oneself at any cost - completely incompatible

Hey fudgemuppet, great work as always! I love these stories but I had a idea for a skyrim build i thought might be right up your alley! A propper beast master, using mainly enaisaions mods. Using conjuration and the spells from triumvate and apocalypse to summon familiars and then concentrate summon snakes, birds, and the like. Could then tag on the fammiliar from the lady stone and the wood elves tamed friend and marking bird from imperious. When not concentrating minions into battle using bows like the stag prince. Could worship hircine or several of the bosmer deities via wintersun. Far as armor goes I'm between using saviors hide and old god armor bits or the bosmer armor pack se. Lots of furs and trophies. Werewolf would be a fun addition and you get even more summons if you use moonlight tales or growl. I know you've done lots of simmilar builds, but I love the idea of bringing a herd of living and conjured beasts like the wild hunt itself has come to skyrim.
I have another one, Lord Sheogorath and Relemyna Verenium (sorry for the crap spelling). They got with each other, in front of the Gates of Madness, and that's how the first Gatekeeper came about!

20:25 and onwards is such an insane picture, it's like some sort of a freak party, more spears than in the riekllings mead hall

The vivec x molag bal story is disturbing, to say the least
And if we look well enough into it we can asume Vivec litterally raped Nerevar until he died

Vivec: "Cime here, big boy"
Molag Bal: "😈"
Ra'jin sounds like the most ultra god Chad.
Molag Bal took out his spear..
then Vivec took it his/her spear...
and then everyone watching took out their spears...
and thus every spear in existence was taken out, which explains why you can't find spears in Tamriel anymore.
Jesus Christ...
I wouldn't call Molag Bal and Lamae a 'raunchy relationship'... o.O

This was actually a really interesting and entertaining video. Nice!

I'm sure Sanguine and Dibella got together in secret
DIbella has literally no reason for doing that, she's not "god of sex lmao", it's more than that and Sanguine is all about pleasure for oneself at any cost - completely incompatible
@@oiytd5wugho interesting though since there are at least a couple instances where it could be seen as Sanguine defiling Dibella. So I guess it depends on how much we want to stretch the definition of "get together."

@@bloodangel19 That sounds more like a father/god relationship, than a more paternal relationship.
I swear Dearola is a deer pun and it fuckin cracks me up lol
If I remember correctly, Ozzozachar and Grunda are adopted. Ozz's a Dremora, Xyvilai, or Xyvkin, and Grunda is a Winged Twilight or Daedra Seducer. 🤔
@@georgeoldsterd8994 Ozzozachar is a Titan and Molag Grunda is a winged twilight. I was wondering if the prince created them as his children or if they were just designated as his son and daughter, because they were powerful.
Molag Bal acting as a overbearing father would be an interesting dynamic.
