For me this beats the original. The slight imperfect note changes in your voice fit perfectly with the song. Your voice is full of pain an emotion.

I have always loved this song. This is a stunning interpretation of such a beautiful song. Your voice hits every emotion that Peter did and then some. I love how you incorporated the last section that is upbeat in the studio version but didn’t change the melody. I honestly like your version more. I always think of my Mom when I listen to this gem. I like your version better than P.G. -You voice is nicer to listen to. This song was part of my grieving list of a beloved tiny black puffy cat (Tribble) who died a year ago today. She was my empathic companion through severe pain for several years-then i was Her caretaker for the last few years of her precious life. She wrapped herself around my neck like a scarf to comfort me, was so smart and cute. I still miss her immensely. Thanks for playing this song for me today....I am going to replace the original with your version on my youtube grief list.

He actually wrote this for his daughters after the attack on the twin towers.
"I Grieve" appeared on the soundtrack for the movie City of Angels in 1998.
@@turneradams7833 yes it did but was not written for the movie was my point, like the gentleman in the video stated.
@@JoJoMonkyboy My point was, "I Grieve" was written before 9/11/2001, (not for his daughters). He performed it live for the first time after 9/11 though.

Great arrangement...love your voice...My father died in 1997 and after a few months the OST of City Of Angels was released with this little jem by PG... I am a singer too so I took this one as a Manifesto to release my grief...Last year I finally managed to record my own version using the original backing track...But loved the intimacy of your performance... Awesome, well done...
