Hi, i just got my Rs2 2 weeks ago. So it’s been annoying DJI suddenly release rs3 without any warning. Your video gives peace of mind, thanks for this video 👍🏽
Warning? That responsibility rests with the consumer. I knew a new RS3 was on the horizon thanks to rumors newsites. Why were you not informed or warned? I certainly was.
@@arturaszaleskis8907 I don't have any insiders. I look at rumor sites for additional information that I don't have. Why would you want to visit these sites? To gain information for product purchase decisions, the answer to the very question that OP was asking in the first place that's what. The choice is up to you. It's completely fine if you choose not to gain additional information. I choose to get the most bang for my bucks.
Im a heavy gimbal user, my RS2 has served me well. But I will be upgrading to RS3 Pro. The autolock really is a neat feature for run and gun, but more importantly, you didnt mention the fact that the RS3 and RS3 Pro are (allegedly) 20% smoother than the RS2. Ive seen some side by side comparisions, the RS3s are noticably more smooth, esspecially with more telephoto lenses. This is a big deal IMO
Thanks for sharing Reach! I'm a heavy daily user of DJI gimbles, from Ronin MX to Ronin S to Rs-2, both on NikonZ6iiRaw and BMPCC6Kpro. Also have Zhiyun Crane 3S (too heavy) and Weebil S (great only for bare small mirrorless) . RS2 isn't strong enough for BMPCC6k, too many micro vibrations even after super careful balancing, and biggest problem is the lock gimbal-battery comes loose all the time. It's a nightmare... not sure if other Rs-2 users have had the issue? all other locks keep coming loose, but can be tightened but not the one connecting the gimbal to the battery. I'll be sending back the RS2 to DJI see if it's a one off issue. But not ordering the RS3 until I've seen BMPCC6k positive reviews...
Thank you very much for this video! I have the Rs2 Pro and still learning it, but the Rs3 is pretty tempting and this information and review helps to make an informed decision.
Great video - question, please: I have an A7iii with various lenses and am looking for maximum flexibility including easy vertical shooting. I’m currently between RSC2 pro kit w/ Raveneye, RSC3 + Raveneye add on, or RSC3 pro. Thoughts? Really torn because the 3 series wireless seems really handy but I’ve heard that maybe vertical is more of a hassle? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
So at this point unless you get a sweet deal on the rs2 I would just go for the rs3 if buying new. But yes raveneye is a pain if trying to do vertical video unfortunately
Looking for my first gimbal. Going to have an A7III with a cage, maybe a mattebox, battery, follow focus, etc. Not sure the weight. Sigma 24-70mm, or even the Sony 200-600 in special scenarios. Would the Ronin RS 2 be fine or should I just spend a bit more and get the 3 Pro? What about just the old Ronin S?
For a setup that heavy I would only look at the rs2 or rs3 pro since their weight capacity is pretty much the same. So they next step would be so you need the features the rs3 offers like the LiDAR auto focus. If not then go rs2
Hi ! I have a situation and i was wondering if you could help me: So, i found on eBay an dji rs2 pro combo new (sealed) with €500. I want to put on my nikon d850 probably with the 24-70 lenses. I am new to videography and i was wondering if it worth it another €500 for an rs3 pro? I mean, like i said, a beginner could use all the features that come to rs3pro? I want tu use it for realestate videos and small private events. Should i go with rs2pro combo ? Thank you!
There are a few extra features on the rs3 pro… however personally I didn’t care about them, but they are definitely cool. Especially the auto lock feature. Again not enough for me to move to the rs3 pro unless my rs2 died. That being said it really depends on the difference in price at this point and also if you just plan on using the gimbal as just a gimbal and not use the special features go for the rs2.
You can use your mobile phone as a control monitor on the rs2 though right? With the rs2 how close do you need to be for it to automatically follow you accurately?
I am a zhiyun crane user, but switching to the Dji Roning. I have to make a choice between the RS2 and RS3 but my little concern is just the payload. I use the Mirrorless and will be using the Sigma lenses this time which slightly heavier than the Tamron I usually use. Considering do you think the RS3 can carry this payload very well without stressing the motor
If you have any questions about weight, go for an rs2 or rs3 pro. You can always use less weight on those gimbals. Especially later if you get heavier lenses later on
I have an opportunity to purchase an RS2 pro combo (used very good condition) or a new RS3 (non pro, non combo for the same price. This would be my first gimbal. My gear is a Sony A7iv, with cage, and external monitor. I think the stronger motor on the RS2 and accessories with the combo might outweigh the upgrades in the RS3 (non pro, non combo). What say you?
i did have a big problem with my rs pro 2. my cam is 5d mark IV and really have no idea how to balance them well. i am an amateur, bought gimble for fun. cant do the pro things. so my question is...how can i deal with auto focus on my 5d mark iv.... plz help me.....
I am actually thinking about buying a gimbal but that would be my first one, would you ever recommend me buying the rs3 or the rs2 or rs3 pro? Whats the best one for its price, would be nice if you could help me out.
It really is a multitude of factors especially what camera you are using, if you are on a black magic the rs3 pro is the way to go. If not it’s really what you can afford but I would go for the rs2 over the rs3 as it is more powerful the rs3 is basically a rsc2 replacement
@@ReachFilms ok thanks a lot! 🙏🏻Yeah I have the sony alpha 7ii and in future I will definitely stay with sony (maybe 7siii) so I think I will go for the Rs2, is the best in my situation I guess.
Thanks! Unfortunately not directly with the RS3, now Tilta did make a 3rd party accessory to be the middle man between the RS2 and Nucleus Nano, if its compatible with the rs3 that's a great way to incorporate that into your setup. Here's the link to is: amzn.to/3P5lSHI
@@ReachFilms Thanks. Trying to decide which gimbal to but and already have the nano so I didn't want to have to buy a new follow focus if I didn't have to.
i do not own any gimbal , is it time to buy RS3 pro Combo , C$1299 + Tax or RS2 PRo Combo , Like New probably 2 times used for $600 -$650 . i dont know about locking system that so much hype for RS3 , isnt any locking system in rs2
@@khalidsaeeds with that kind of setup you can totally go with the rs2 pro combo, I would honestly only get the rs3 of your using a bigger setup like an fx6 or rigged up Komodo, blackmagic pocket etc
@@ReachFilms if yes, why everybody is showing a gimbal setup with 2 heavy BP batteries ? makes no sense... gimbal setup should be as light as possible with the komodo body. is the RF 35mm wide enough indoors ?

smoothness is all software. cinks are always playing games with their consumers thats why I dont buy anything made by ugly cnks

I think you can connect your camerea via bluetooth as well without using cords on the rs3
I know you can on the rs3 mini so it’s probably possible on the rs3

What I don't get is a pricing as to me DJI established very strange, least to say, pricing politics
To me it kinda makes sense, minor improvements so same price as former RS 2, now the RS 2 is about $100 less for having slightly less features
I've heard angel birds having issues
I seen the the price drop on the RS2 🗣😂
Interesting that’s it wasn’t big but I’m glad
