Thanks for sharing this. @Engineeringly When I enable category name 3:38, it is displaying dates and not the milestone name. Could you please let me know what needs to be corrected here?
Hi, thank you for engaging with our content. I believe that there won’t be a problem. Apart from the error bars giving a better and easy to understand visual. Still let me try what you said and get back to you with the results.
Hi Dhawal, thank you for engaging with our content. The reason we have the name location in here is that to put the milestone name in a proper location where it is clearly visible.
Question: I'm trying to add a "Today" marker within that timeline, that moves automatically since I use =Today(), but I leave it at the end of my milestones but it shows randomly at the end on the timeline, any fix?
Nice work. There is a bug that if the data was not in the time sequence, for example, the second date is earlier than the first date. Then the label is wrongly assigned.
Hey Duncan, thank you for engaging with our content. Other people have encountered the same issue. Make sure that the dates are in date format. If still not fixed, reach out to me on LinkedIn and let’s solve it there: www.linkedin.com/in/aqhotak
bit out of date now but in case you want to create it in the future the way i got around it was : duplicate the data, to manipulate. =sort() the dates into order then do an =xlookup() function for the milestone name with the dates as your lookuparray. Now it will always sort the dates into time order and then associate the correct label based on the dates in the original table. Only issue with this is the position, if you move something from a name location of 10 for example into the future (or past) something else will take that name location of 10 and your changed data will assume whatever position it replaced.
Hey Hayek, thank you for pointing that out. We were planning to add that in the description of the video to make it easier for the audience. The long explanation at the beginning is because we feel that the audience should clearly understand what they’re going to watch. Thank you once again for the heads up!

Thanks so much for sharing
Great tutorial! I wonder why do we need to add the "Error bars"? Can not we just use the column chart as at 3:53?

Very Cool! Thank you mate.
Hi, glad you found it helpful!
Is there a way to give conditional colors for each milestone automatically?
It was very nicely presented, I did not understand the use of NAME LOCATION

How to create name location in numbers. Could you explain.. It will better exposure
Hi Mohammed, do you mean how do we assign the location of the names of the milestones using the numbers on the last column?
@@Engineeringly Hi! Yes, I'd like to know this. How did you assign those?
you're so damn genius!
